Chapter 30: Congratulations on Becoming the Apartment Administrator, Madam
“I am a staff member from the Management Office; you met me this morning.”
The staff member bowed and flattered Yifu, acting as if Yifu were on a pedestal.
This made Yifu feel somewhat bewildered; after all, no matter how well she filled out her information, it shouldn’t elicit such fawning behavior from this woman.
This familiar flattery was something Yifu had just witnessed in the Dean’s office at the Church Academy.
“I specifically waited here to tell you that congratulations on successfully joining the Management Office as the sole administrator of this apartment.”
“Starting immediately! Additionally, it has been specially approved from above to agree to your request for a weekly salary of ten silver coins, along with other benefits, performance incentives, and bonuses.”
Listening to the staff member’s words, Yifu felt a bit taken aback.
Although a weekly salary of ten silver coins isn’t particularly high, when converted to the purchasing power from Yifu’s past life, it’s roughly equivalent to a monthly salary of about four thousand to five thousand.
But this job is quite relaxed.
It’s called an apartment administrator, but there isn’t much to manage; it only entails occasionally cleaning the hallways, and most of the time, it doesn’t even require interaction with the residents.
After all, it’s a high-end apartment in a prime location, and the quality of the people living there is generally decent.
People like Qianzhi, for example, wouldn’t cause Yifu even a little trouble.
It’s as if Yifu can live here without having to do anything, just enjoying her life while consistently receiving her living expenses every month.
There are even additional welfare policies.
Just thinking about it makes one happy—not because Yifu has gotten a job, but because she has secured a job that allows her to relax freely.
“Of course, if there’s anything else you’re dissatisfied with, you can always bring it up with me.”
The staff member was enthusiastic.
“No, you’ve taken such good care of me; I don’t even know how to thank you.”
“Please, don’t be so polite. This is what we should do. From now on, we’re like family. I work in the Management Office, so if you need anything, feel free to come find me, anytime!”
While bowing and flattering, the staff member bid farewell to Yifu; she even set aside this week’s salary for her in advance.
A total of twelve silver coins, two of which were personal gifts prepared specifically to welcome Yifu to the job.
However, Yifu was somewhat puzzled as to why this staff member often glanced at Qianzhi behind her.
When Yifu directed her questioning gaze toward Qianzhi, she found Qianzhi still maintaining her usual frostiness, with no visible reaction.
There was nothing out of the ordinary; she looked just like usual.
“She really is a good person.”
In the end, Yifu could only attribute the staff member’s enthusiasm to her being a kind person.
“With that settled, congratulations on the job.”
Qianzhi said to Yifu with a hint of indifference, and Yifu felt a bit shy; to be honest, she hadn’t really done much.
She only filled out a form, a form that Qianzhi had even brought back for her.
“I should thank you, though; thank you for encouraging me to submit the application form.”
Otherwise, Yifu would have indeed thought to just let it go. After all, she had seen with her own eyes this morning how the trash cans in the Management Office were overflowing with various application forms.
Even the forms tossed into the trash were more detailed and interesting than Yifu’s.
“In the future, if you want to eat what I cook, feel free to come by anytime.”
Yifu smiled gently; she instinctively wanted to pat Qianzhi on the head, but considering that Qianzhi wasn’t as childlike as Leia, she held back.
Upon hearing Yifu’s words, Qianzhi merely nodded mildly, maintaining her usual cool demeanor.
But inside, she was already bursting with joy.
She wasn’t really a high-and-mighty goddess; she just rarely interacted with people and felt shy about expressing her feelings.
At this moment, Qianzhi felt that Yifu was truly gentle to the core.
Just like her mother!
