Chapter 143 Chapter One Hundred and Forty-One A Ray of White Light
In Ji Ma’s eyes, the desires of tens of thousands of people were burning fiercely, engulfing the entire city in flames, and the intensity of the fire momentarily shocked her. She had lost control over it, watching as the flames soared into the night sky, absorbed by colorful clouds representing seven desires, which became stunningly vibrant, as if ignited, and continued to expand.
Originally, the colorful desire clouds above everyone’s heads were not very large. A single ship was enveloped by two clumps of desire clouds, indicating that Ji Ma could influence at most half the people on one ship at a time.
But now it was different; countless colorful desire clouds swelled, flying upward. Above the city, they converged into a single cloud that covered the entire city. Desire was burning; the clouds rolled, forming a powerful vortex. The seven-colored light symbolizing the seven desires illuminated the entire dark sky.
Ji Ma first felt fear, as if she thought she had thrown a grenade, only to realize that it was a nuclear bomb that exploded with a bang, creating a mushroom cloud.
However, she soon felt happiness. The nuclear bomb was destroying her enemy’s city, was that not perfect?
The obsidian things were still emanating a green light, faithfully warning everyone with their glow.
Next to the stage, several muscular men pulled out large sticks; with one swing, whether it was a succubus or even a cow, they would collapse to the ground.
“Wait.”
The kind-hearted master Bransi stopped them, glancing at the VIP audience, where the distinguished guests had bright eyes, eagerly sizing up Ji Ma. He was convinced that as long as they could obtain the succubus Ji Ma, the guests would willingly offer gold, real estate, and ships to him.
If the dance ended ungracefully, the guests would have an excuse to bargain. Keeping Ji Ma on stage a little longer was fine; with so many of his soldiers present, what could she do to turn the tide?
Driven by greed, the kind-hearted master Bransi’s tone became urgent:
“Stop the music and take her down more gracefully.”
The music came to a halt. A big smile appeared on Ji Ma’s face as she exuded innocence, showing her cute little tiger teeth, tilting her head to gaze at the gradually growing seven-colored vortex in the sky.
Everyone mistakenly thought Ji Ma had finished her dance, standing up to applaud together.
The applause was continuous, drowning out Ji Ma.
Across the stage, in the farthest floating audience, commoners stood up, clapping along. A sailor who had just stepped off a ship felt a rush of heat; he became parched, and primordial impulses surged in him like a beast, pounding against his chest, and his breathing grew heavy.
Just then, he found himself standing in front of a woman whose tightly fitted clothing couldn’t conceal her protruding hips. The sailor’s hands couldn’t control themselves and directly grabbed the woman, squeezing hard. The woman screamed, turning around with red eyes, swinging her arm to slap the sailor hard.
She forcefully yanked her husband to the side; he staggered and nearly fell. The woman opened her mouth and roared, spitting in her husband’s face:
“Pervert! Are you mesmerized by that little succubus? Look, your wife is being groped! And you’re just sitting there smiling?”
“Who?”
“That guy!”
The woman pointed at the sailor. The sailor clenched his fists, showing his dark, muscular biceps to intimidate the husband next to him.
The husband turned red, shouting: “Do you look down on me?”
Saying this, he stood up and charged at the sailor, wrapping his arms around his waist. The sailor was knocked down, and the two began to fight.
Onlookers instinctively tried to intervene, but at that moment, the sailor’s bulging money pouch exposed itself at his waist. Someone’s eyes lit up, heart racing, bending down, reaching out to grab the pouch, and as soon as they got hold of it, they yanked it hard.
Unexpectedly, the pouch was tied with a string.
The sailor roared: “Who stole my money?”
His hand shook, and the pouch fell to the ground, spilling metal coins everywhere, gold and silver rolling about. The pleasant clinking of the metal coins made the beasts in people’s chests tremble, and those who originally wanted to stop the fight bent down, reaching for the rolling coins.
One gold coin attracted three pairs of hands, and they jabbed each other away until each pair’s owner exchanged curses and got into a scuffle.
Two guards maintaining order approached with lanterns, shouting: “What’s all this noise?”
At that moment, a silver coin fell before them. They immediately bent down to pick it up, the older one said: “Give it to me, I saw it first.”
The younger one glared at the older one, slowly unclenching his fists.
“What are you looking at?” The older one said, taking the silver coin from the younger’s palm. It didn’t take long before the earlier chaos unexpectedly spread everywhere. There were nearly five hundred people on this ship, and at first glance, it turned out that nearly half of them were embroiled in mutual quarrels, throwing punches at each other.
The older guard’s initial thought was that they could detain many people and collect a lot of bribes. Instead of intervening immediately, he elbowed the younger one and said: “Learn from this, don’t go in yet; let them fight it out, none of them will escape.”
At this moment, the sailor’s neck was engorged and red; the husband continued to cling to his waist tightly. It took the sailor a great effort to pull out his knife, shouting: “Let go!”
The woman reached out with both hands, her nails leaving several scratches on the sailor’s face.
The sailor cried out; the beast within him burst free. He pushed the woman away and stabbed the husband under the ribcage with a gleaming knife, burying it halfway. The husband’s tense body relaxed, and the sailor pulled out the knife, stabbing again and again, until the blade was stained red with blood.
“There’s a murder!!!”
The woman shrieked, as the sailor advanced, grabbing her hair, and with a swift slash of the knife across her neck, her voice instantly ceased.
The older guard saw this and shoved the younger guard, shouting: “You go catch him; I’ll cover you.”
The younger guard dropped his baton and drew his sword from his belt but suddenly turned and violently stabbed the older guard through the gap in his chainmail, twisting it hard at the end.
The older guard’s eyes widened, bending like a shrimp. As he fell to the ground, he heard the younger guard say:
“I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time!”
Saying this, the younger guard stabbed several more times.
The lantern fell from the older guard’s hand, rolling away, extinguishing the fire inside. Order on the ship was completely chaotic.
On other ships, orange lanterns fell to the ground, the flames extinguished. The thunderous applause couldn’t mask the sounds of the brawl.
Ji Ma witnessed within just a minute or two the most populated floating audience begin to descend into chaos. At this moment, several tall, well-dressed guards approached Ji Ma.
Ji Ma smiled at them, dodging away, letting out a laugh like silver bells, dancing as she laughed. Some were enchanted by her figure, others felt their desires arise; she kept twisting her body and jumped off the stage, evading the guards while guiding the desires, tantalizing everyone’s seven inner cravings, her pinky pointing at the desire vortex in the sky, rotating clockwise.
The enormous vortex of desire began to spin faster, fuelled continuously by surging lust, and the seven-colored clouds forming the vortex seemed to be burning.
Meanwhile, the guards and maids were still unable to catch the fleeing Ji Ma. On one hand, Ji Ma was using some of the desires floating in the air to amplify her extraordinary charm; on the other hand, the guards were hesitant, fearing to hurt Ji Ma.
Ji Ma even escaped onto the VIP viewing area, leaping onto a table covered with white cloth, her feet scampering away. Her small calves knocked over golden cups and silver dishes, apples rolled to the ground, and the white edges of her skirt brushed past the heads of the distinguished guests, while the guards clumsily pursued behind.
The guests erupted in laughter, saying to each other:
“What a cute girl.”
“Truly lively.”
“I’m buying her!”
A poet nearby suppressed his deep voice and whispered:
“She’s mine; only I can bring her happiness; none of you are worthy.”
“You debaucher, with your illegitimate children everywhere, you think you can say that?!”
“A good-for-nothing upstart!”
The surface cheerfulness vanished, and the guests revealed their true grievances, gradually becoming hysterical.
The guards hesitated, while Ji Ma leaped onto the railing, nearly three stories high, moving as if on flat ground, directly making for the water’s surface, ready to jump off the ship. Even though there was already a wall of people at the ship’s railing, Ji Ma didn’t care; she took off from the railing, preparing to leap.
“Enough!”
A strong hand suddenly grasped Ji Ma’s delicate neck, yanking her down from the railing.
In front of Ji Ma appeared the angry face of the kind-hearted master Bransi. His demonic right hand gripped her throat tightly. That demonic hand was misshapen yet strong, covered with a layer of blood-red chitinous shell. Ji Ma knew that this hand must have drawn inspiration from an insect’s limb structure.
The strange hand tightened around her, making Ji Ma’s small face turn red as she gasped for air. The kind-hearted master Bransi took a deep breath and at that moment did not forget to shield the guests’ eyes with his back, loosening his grip a bit but still holding onto Ji Ma’s neck. He said:
“Are you happy?”
Ji Ma smiled and replied, “Bransi, you’re done for.”
“Done for?” The kind-hearted master Bransi said with a semblance of a smile, “I truly don’t want to shatter your adorably naive fantasies. You have finally revealed your extraordinary ability; quite effective, as a mob of civilians just fought. You don’t know, bed slaves and battle slaves are worth far more than the sum of both. The guests who have witnessed your extraordinary abilities will not skimp on money and power; they just want to possess you. Even if the commoners on the opposite viewing platform all die, I profit.”
Ji Ma said nothing as the kind-hearted master Bransi twisted her around, bringing her to the front of the VIP viewing area, addressing a group of guests who had just finished arguing and were red-faced:
“Hehe, everyone, I apologize for the ruckus. Just now you also witnessed the succubus’s ‘instigation’ extraordinary ability; look, the group of commoners on the opposite side is still fighting. This flower of Shalin City is no longer just a delicate vase; she is also your most loyal and valuable secret weapon. I assure you, after signing a custom slave contract, she will be unwaveringly loyal to you.”
“Ten thousand gold coins.”
The poet couldn’t wait, shouted out the bounty on George.
“Fifteen thousand gold coins,” another noble said, “and a wine estate located in Baisha Ridge.”
The wine estate, known for its famous Baisha wine, was a continuous money-making machine.
“I will discuss with you about expelling the pirates from the Gulf, ensuring that merchant ships flying the Shalin City flag are untroubled by pirates.”
The polite smile on kind-hearted master Bransi’s face became more sincere as he said: “On behalf of Shalin City, I thank you first; I believe the succubus Ji Ma will be worth the price.”
Behind him, millions of Shalin City commoners were embroiled in fights.
Bidding continued. Ji Ma closed her eyes to her desires, gazing towards the waterway leading to Round Lake. The sky turned pitch black, the waterway was also dark, and the distant lights went out one after another, plunging the world into darkness.
The smile on Ji Ma’s face vanished as she slowly turned her head.
At this moment, a sudden ray of white light burst forth in the dark waterway, blindingly bright, as if the sun had suddenly emerged from the horizon.
Not far away, a hurried alarm began to sound.
The guests froze, anxiety mounting.
The kind-hearted master Bransi smiled and said:
“Everyone, the brave George is destined to fail; he comes from the waterway, and there are eighteen ships blocking his path, not to mention that the flower ship has two golden masters aboard. The girl will be very sad, but after signing the contract, you will become her brave protector, helping to fill this unfortunate void in her life.”
“Sir! He, he!”
A soldier rushed forward, panting.
“Calm down, soldier; everything is as planned.”
“He didn’t follow the plan; he came by horse, running on the water!”
