Chapter 203 Chapter 204 Facing the Past
“Finally…” Young Master Es let out a sigh of relief, “Destiny has finally rewarded my efforts.”
Jenna panted, like an exhausted steed, lifting her head and saying, “You are not my opponent.”
“My dear, even in a disadvantageous position, you are still so defiantly charming,” Young Master Es murmured, “I apologize for this.”
Ji Ma felt goosebumps rising all over her back, wanting to vomit. She picked up the “Die, Yellow Hair!” puppet, eager to directly curse Young Master Es, but realizing that if she used up her curses, she would definitely lose control. Lowering her hand with the puppet, she looked at Jenna, who was preparing to heal herself, planning to wait until Saint Jenna had the capacity to act before cursing.
Saint Jenna’s hands glowed with soft white light, just about to touch her wound when Young Master Es pulled back his hand, and a semi-transparent sound spear immediately took shape, throwing it towards Saint Jenna. Jenna quickly raised her hand, canceling the healing, and the sound spear collided with the protective floating shield in mid-air, shattering.
Jenna gritted her teeth, straining to hold up the shield and pausing the healing. The dust from the explosion settled on her clean, egg-shaped face.
“My dear, you are covered in dust, and you look even more beautiful than before,” Young Master Es wept, “I don’t want this either; I am doing this for your own good, George is not a good person.”
If it weren’t for the fact that she hadn’t eaten, Ji Ma would have vomited her dinner on the spot.
This disgusting guy was more repulsive than cockroach droppings. He wanted to drain Jenna’s magical power and disrupt her mental state.
Ji Ma gritted her teeth, unable to sit still any longer, but momentarily at a loss for a good plan.
If only that dog, the Shadow King, could help her. Should she call out to him? No, if she did, she’d expose herself. That dog could very well be watching with great interest nearby. Van Helsing was most likely him disguised, showing her no mercy, note it down in the little black book!
Wait, why did she have to curse him?
The second sound spear was thrown, colliding with the shield, which shattered. Saint Jenna, who had just risen, fell back to the ground again, dust rising onto her tattered silver robe.
Young Master Es’s mental state was also poor; his tone had grown hysterically joyful, as if the earth were bowing to him, saying, “Jenna, you are so steadfast, I love you dearly.”
“Disgusting…”
Jenna’s face was cold as she propped herself up again. Her extraordinary powers were currently chaotic, needing some time to stabilize, but Young Master Es was pressing hard. She struggled to stabilize her extraordinary powers, just beginning to find her footing.
The third sound spear arrived.
In a hurry, Jenna had to give up and block with the shield again. Losing control of her extraordinary powers, she was temporarily unable to use her extraordinary abilities, her golden eyelashes dusted, her green eyes unwillingly staring at her opponent.
“Third time’s the charm…” Young Master Es smirked, like a wolf about to pounce on a lioness, pulling back his hand to prepare to throw the fourth sound spear.
“Unfilial son!”
The familiar roar came from behind.
Young Master Es turned his head to see his father storming towards him… or rather, towards Ji Ma.
She created an illusion of Young Master Es’s father and overlapped herself with the illusion, but there was a fatal flaw; the height did not match.
Young Master Es exclaimed, “Dad, why are you here—”
Ji Ma directly hit him hard on the right side of his face, interrupting his words as she shouted, “Disgusting!”
So speed was essential, not giving him a reaction time.
Young Master Es covered his right face, adjusting his golden mask; now it was finally aligned. Just as he was about to speak, Ji Ma threw another punch at his face.
“You unfilial son, you actually raped your own mother! And called people to watch!”
Young Master Es looked up, his eyes bloodshot, yelling, “This is the succubus’s scheme! Why are you hitting me?”
“Who do you think you are, I don’t understand? Why are you asking me why I’m hitting you?” Ji Ma shouted, throwing another punch. Young Master Es reached out to block, but Ji Ma reacted extremely quickly, her fist curling around to hit his left cheek, “You rapist of your own mother!”
Young Master Es said, “Stop hitting! Dad, if you hit me again, I’ll fight back; can’t you see I’m busy right now?”
“I’m just waiting until you win to come out and hit you.”
“Stop! Can we talk about this later?”
Ji Ma, overlapped with her illusion, gripped the mace tightly and said, “Okay, hit me once more, and after that, we can have a proper talk, father and son.”
Young Master Es was anxious to end this farce, so he stiffened his neck, only then realizing that his father seemed to have shrunk a little.
Ji Ma questioned, “Are you ready?”
“Ready.”
Ji Ma suddenly pulled out the mace, planted her feet, twisted her waist, and swung her arm, aiming the mace directly at his temple. Young Master Es could not react at all, there was a dull sound, his head snapped to the side, and the golden mask fell to the ground. Young Master Es clutched his dented temple, blood oozing from under his fingers, and roared in anger:
“Cow-headed man, die!” Ji Ma swung the mace again, but it sank into soft flowing water. The blue seawater flowing from the conch at Young Master Es’s waist formed a spherical barrier, protecting him.
Young Master Es’s headache was unbearable, his hands shaking continuously. Seeing the illusion disappear revealed a dark-haired, golden-eyed succubus, temporarily making him furious with blood rushing to his head; blood spurted from his wounds. The upper half of his face was painfully burned, ugly, and disfigured, his red eyes glaring, tears streaming from the pain.
He shouted three times, “You! You! You!”
Ji Ma pointed at his face, cursing, “Damn succubus!”
Having said that, she dropped the mace and ran towards Jenna.
“Ahhhhh!” Young Master Es’s extraordinary abilities became unstable, his head pounding. At this moment, he grabbed a bottle of green potion with trembling hands and poured it directly over his head.
The dented temple swelled up, physical wounds could heal, but the psychological shadow had already been cast.
“Sister Jenna, I’m here to save you.” Ji Ma helped Jenna up.
Jenna caught her breath, standing up and saying, “Thank you, but… can you pull your hand out of my clothes?”
“I really like you, I love you, truly enough.” Ji Ma quickly covered her mouth.
Oh no, she accidentally let her thoughts slip out.
Although she said this, Ji Ma’s other hand still lingered in Jenna’s clothes.
Jenna grasped Ji Ma’s wrist and pulled it out, saying, “Calm down, you’re almost out of control.”
So, does it mean I can do whatever I want?
Just as Ji Ma was about to press her face against the snowy peak.
Young Master Es suddenly roared, “Van Helsing! Come quickly, the succubus is right here!”
Jenna was taken aback, slapping Ji Ma’s head, granting her a protective shield.
“I want to go too!” Van Helsing’s cursing voice came from the rooftop.
The witch hunter was battling a black shadow atop the roof, the shadow mounted on him, trying to stab a dagger into his throat. The witch hunter’s hands gripped the opponent’s wrist tightly as the dagger edged closer to his throat.
Jenna asked, “Your companion?”
“That treacherous being who is both ally and enemy, don’t worry about him.”
Young Master Es was on the verge of losing control.
“It’s okay, it’s okay.” Young Master Es’s head was shaking, his lips trembling as he pulled out a blood-stained music box. “Touch it, offer up the blood, and we will return to the past together. Do you want to escape from it?”
Jenna’s green pupils widened immediately, a look of fear on her face, her dust-covered face flashing with light: “No, I did nothing wrong.”
“Then why not go back and take a look together?” Young Master Es trembled all over, desperately suppressing the loss of control of his extraordinary powers. It seemed as if countless beetles were crawling beneath his skin, lumps forming and moving; the beetles crawled across his neck, across his face, his bright red scars stood out, looking particularly hideous.
“I’m sorry for showing you how ugly I am.” His voice was pitiful as tears streamed from his eyes, flowing over the ugly burn scars, trembling as he said, “Please heal my face, I don’t want to wear a mask anymore.”
Young Master Es staggered step by step toward Jenna, his body weak, but his right hand was reaching out, tightly gripping the music box.
Jenna retreated in terror, her face losing color, her lips turning pale, muttering, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”
She was almost about to lose control too!
Ji Ma, anxious, directly threw the mace, crashing into the seawater, landing uselessly on the ground. She drew out the “Die, Yellow Hair!” puppet from her waist, holding a nail aimed at the puppet’s head, glancing at the “personal information system” showing the remaining magical power in extreme red.
With a resolve, she thrust the sharpened nail into the puppet’s head and shouted, “I curse your head to burst! Die! Give me die!”
The meager magical power was instantly drained, riding on the words that flowed from her mouth, falling onto the puppet, attacking Young Master Es through the hair medium.
Young Master Es felt as if someone was using a chisel to repeatedly pierce his skull. He screamed, pressing one hand tightly against his skull, collapsing to his knees as dozens of “beetles” crawled onto his head, distorting it, covered in lumps.
But he just hung on, resilient as though he were not human, kneeling forward to pass the blood-stained music box to Jenna.
With all his magical power spent, Ji Ma felt as if her flesh, which had contained magical power, was being sucked away as well. Her chest burned as if split by an axe; her hand trembled, dropping the nail, and feeling her clothes tighten, she looked down to see her chest splitting open, expanding to the sides, the organs within writhing, trying to escape from her chest.
“Je…nna.” Ji Ma couldn’t speak clearly; she felt her tail gaining a will of its own, wriggling on the ground like a snake.
Jenna immediately rushed to her aid, her hands glowing with soft white light, pressing down hard on Ji Ma’s chest, but it was a drop in the bucket.
“I can’t heal you right now, it’s too serious!” Tears fell from the corners of Jenna’s eyes as she tightened her grip on Ji Ma’s hand.
Would they really come to give her the last rites?
“Hang in there!”
Ji Ma felt something was wrong; could Jenna be trying to slip away?
But her eyes shut down, unable to see anything.
Jenna got up to leave, and not long after, she returned again.
A beam of light broke through the darkness before Ji Ma’s eyes, and the split chest miraculously began to close again.
Ji Ma regained her vision, barely managing to control the restless extraordinary substance within her; although she couldn’t use her extraordinary abilities, her mental state was better than before.
So miraculous.
“Jenna, you’re amazing!” Ji Ma looked at Jenna and saw her wearing the necklace of ultimate goodness around her neck. “Did you do this for me?”
Jenna smiled gently at her, saying, “Not bad, actually I didn’t want to give it up either.”
With that, she stood up and walked toward the fallen Young Master Es.
Ji Ma wanted to stand up and stop her: “Jenna!”
“Ji Ma, don’t worry about me.” Jenna turned her head, smiling gently at her, “I’ve come to terms with it; I can’t keep avoiding it. It’s time to face my guilt. I’m sorry that my avoidance has caused you and everyone else to pay the price.”
Having said this, she bit her fingertip, directly pressing it against the blood-stained music box.
