I’m the Villain, but My Boyfriend’s a Superhero! – Chapter 11

Chapter 11: Reflection

Silently closing the lunch box, Su Jun leaned back on the protective railing, preventing the food from getting cold by the time Sato Shinichi finished his call. He began to silently process the memories he had just acquired.

Today’s experience was truly surreal for Su Jun. He had expected just another day of monotonous corporate drudgery. But unexpectedly, he woke up in a world full of special abilities and superpowers. Not only that, he had become a female high school student attending a superpower high school? One with a boyfriend, no less?

The free time during lunch break was just enough for Su Jun to catch his breath and calm his somewhat flustered heart from the transmigration.

“I was just attending classes before, I didn’t even reflect on my current situation at all, is this what a top student is like?”

As Su Jun, a diligent but academically poor student for twenty-three years, he had never experienced the extreme studiousness of Kazumi Shimizu. This naturally gifted top student’s learning ability absorbed knowledge from teachers as if it were instinct. Not only was there no dullness or dizziness from studying, but there was even a unique sense of joy.

“It feels like I’m falling in love with studying!”

He quickly pushed this dangerous thought out of his mind. Su Jun shifted his gaze slightly towards Sato Shinichi, who was still on the phone by the corner of the door. He lowered his voice deliberately, not knowing what he was saying, but judging by the sound, he was indeed communicating with someone.

He pressed his temples with a slight headache. How was he supposed to deal with the previous owner’s relationship!

Dating was out of the question. Although he was a budding programmer and had two rather unsuccessful dating experiences, he wasn’t an old hand, but he wasn’t a complete novice either.

However, dating a boy, this was probably his first time.

“This isn’t even a question of first time or not first time!!!”

Setting aside the original owner’s feelings for Sato Shinichi, Su Jun initially planned to keep his distance for a while and then completely and flawlessly reject him as a heartless woman. After all, his current persona was probably that of a cool, silent, and reserved girl.

However, due to the incomplete reception of memories, Su Jun, who had neither brought money nor his own lunch, had to come to this familiar spot agreed upon with his “cheap” boyfriend, hoping to get a free meal.

But after truly understanding his “cheap” boyfriend’s personality, Su Jun found himself somewhat unable to do what he had previously intended.

For someone who would give everything for his own good, it was truly… difficult to go through with it!

While his other memories needed to be recovered slowly over time, the memories of Sato Shinichi were firmly placed in the most precious position in his heart.

The girl, naturally solitary and friendless, had always secretly admired the boy who was always full of smiles and radiated light. Coincidentally, the boy had also fallen for this unique, solitary girl.

It should have been a sweet, impossibly sweet happy ending of mutual love, where lovers eventually tie the knot.

“So why did anyone have to interfere! Neither I nor she wanted this!!!”

Su Jun complained inwardly, feeling somewhat frantic. Regardless of the strange memories that slowly surfaced in his mind, at least Kazumi Shimizu’s feelings for Sato Shinichi were genuine.

“This really gives me a sense of guilt! I should have just stayed put, it would have been better to go hungry all afternoon!”

Just as Su Jun was contemplating how to end this awkward relationship, Sato Shinichi, seemingly having finished his call, came running over.

“Kiyomizu-san!! Sorry! Sorry! I have something important to do, so I might not be able to eat with you!!”

The blond young man bowed solemnly, clasping his hands together in apology, as if not being able to eat with the young girl was a grave offense.

“Mm.”

Su Jun nodded gently. Although he was a bit curious about what he was going to do, in order to end this awkward relationship sooner, he chose to say and do less.

“Then, Kiyomizu-san, after you finish eating, go back to the classroom and rest. I’m leaving now, sorry!!”

After another sincere apology, Sato Shinichi ran off without looking back, as if he were rushing to save the world.

Looking with amusement at the young man’s hurried departure, Su Jun couldn’t help but recall his own student days, when he was also full of energy, acting impulsively in everything he did.

“Youth!”

Leaning his head on the railing of the rooftop, perhaps because it was a world of ability users, the sky in this world was exceptionally clear. The pure white clouds and the sea-like blue sky made him feel completely relaxed and incredibly comfortable just by looking at them.

Letting his thoughts wander for a moment, Su Jun rationally pulled himself back. If he continued to lean there and look at the sky, he might just end up spending the entire afternoon here.

He stood up and stretched his numb legs from kneeling. It was strange, as a Chinese person, Su Jun would definitely be uncomfortable with such an unnatural posture. But due to the body’s condition, he had unconsciously sat down and didn’t even realize it.

He took out his mobile phone and checked it, finding it was already 1:30. He had been leaning here for about ten minutes without realizing it.

One good thing that came with the recovery of memories was that Su Jun remembered Kazumi Shimizu’s mobile payment password. Although his savings were only a somewhat heartbreaking five digits, it was at least enough to…

He tidied up the bento box on the ground, wrapping it in the bento cloth. Su Jun then thought of the clumsy young man; it seemed he hadn’t eaten yet due to his own actions.

Picking up the bento box, he walked downstairs. As he passed by the corridor, he saw a vending machine that looked somewhat familiar from his memories. His mind couldn’t help but wander to the young man, and his body involuntarily walked towards the vending machine.

“…”

Looking at the vending machine that instantly appeared before him just because he got distracted for a moment, Su Jun felt a bit speechless. Should he marvel at this body’s instincts? Or was it worthy of a fifteen or sixteen-year-old girl in love?

“Never mind, since I’m here. I’ll just buy myself a snack for not being full…”

He helplessly opened his phone’s payment function, but his small finger unconsciously pressed the button for the cod rice ball on the upper shelf.
