Chapter 51 Minako Hishiyama
“Be careful!”
Sato Shinichi, who was in a trance, reacted instantly and pulled Kazumi over, dodging the collision with the two approaching people.
“Oh my, I’m so sorry!”
Before Kazumi could react, a high-pitched voice came from the other side. Looking up, she saw two girls in Hero Department uniforms standing not far away, looking at them.
However, the insincere tone made it clear that they didn’t mean to apologize.
It was then that Kazumi recalled that the two of them had been close to her earlier, and the obvious shove of their shoulders just now. These two were targeting her!!
“It’s okay, it was also our fault for not watching where we were going.”
Sato Shinichi could also see the other party’s hostile attitude, but considering the current situation, he pulled Kazumi closer and planned to walk towards the teaching building.
After all, getting into a conflict with people from another class during class hours would put them at a disadvantage no matter what.
“Wait! You guys should be from the Regular Department, right? Why are you here at this time?”
The red-haired girl said haughtily, showing no intention of letting them go.
“Minako…”
The short-haired girl beside her called out to Minako in a low voice, but she was met with a shrug of refusal. She continued to look seriously at Sato Shinichi and the two in front of her.
“Hello, classmate. I am Sato Shinichi from Class B-2, Year 1 of the Regular Department. As required by Teacher Ishiryu, I am going to the materials room with a classmate to submit materials, so there is no disciplinary violation. So, classmate, may we go now?”
Sato Shinichi took a step forward, shielding Kazumi behind him, and said calmly to Minako in front of him.
“You…”
Minako was somewhat taken aback by Sato Shinichi’s calm reaction. After all, even with the teacher’s instructions, students from the Regular Department would usually prefer to take a detour rather than cross through the playground of the Hero Department during class. This was because class status was determined before they awakened their abilities.
And this boy, whom she considered a mere commoner, was actually responding to her questioning without any fear, standing calmly in front of her.
However, the other party was indeed under the teacher’s orders, and she had no right to criticize him in this regard. So, Minako gave up on talking to Sato Shinichi, took two steps to the side, and her gaze fell on Kazumi, who was being protected behind Sato Shinichi.
“Hey, are you Kazumi Shimizu?”
Hearing the words directed straight at her, Kazumi’s brows furrowed slightly. It seemed that today’s incident was not an accident, but had been targeting her from the beginning.
She gently released Sato Shinichi’s hand, which was about to shield her again, and walked past him, standing in front of Minako and looking up.
“I am Kazumi Shimizu. May I ask if you have something to ask me?”
The small and thin young girl’s eyes were full of coldness as she stood in front of her, which made Minako Hishiyama stunned again, and then a sense of humiliation she had never felt before surged in her heart.
A hint of flames emerged in her crimson pupils, and her originally red hair seemed to burn like flames. She took a step forward, looking down at the short and small Kazumi Shimizu in front of her.
“Are you a remnant of the [Dark] Organization?”
“What?!” “What are you talking about?!”
Amidst the exclamation of Hase Kunai, who was beside her, and the roar of Sato Shinichi opposite her, Minako Hishiyama’s smile widened. She looked triumphantly at Kazumi in front of her, expecting to see a dejected look as her secret was exposed.
“If you’re here to talk about that, then I’m afraid you’ve wasted your time. This is the investigation list from the 12th District Police Station. I have already been determined to have no relation to Fukada Akihiko, a member of the [Dark] Organization.”
“Moreover, even if I were a remnant of the [Dark] Organization, if you were the one to catch me, then I can only say that the security measures of this National First Middle School are too inadequate.”
Kazumi glanced at Minako with a blank expression, took out a certificate left by the police from her pocket, and showed it to Minako. Then, she took Sato Shinichi’s hand and turned to walk back towards the teaching building.
“Wait, you’re not allowed to leave!!”
Just as the two were about to leave, Minako’s voice rang out from behind again, stopping them.
“Classmate, even if you are a student of the Hero Department, you should not have the right to control our personal freedom.”
Looking at Minako, who had once again circled in front of them, Kazumi’s cool words were tinged with a bit of indifference. The previous explanation was given out of consideration for her being a student of the Hero Department. However, with such words from the other party…
“You…”
Minako Hishiyama, who did not expect to be retorted by Kazumi in this way, did not know how to respond. She glanced at Kazumi’s indifferent eyes, which seemed to regard her as nothing, and her anger surged. Suppressing her emotions, she said to Kazumi in front of her.
“Fukada Akihiko, your uncle, has been placed on the wanted list by the Association. He is the murderer of my mother. Tell me, how should this debt be settled?”
Kazumi thought to herself, “As expected,” and finally understood the reason why this girl from the Hero Department was targeting her. A mocking smile appeared at the corner of her lips, and she met Minako’s fiery gaze, seemingly unafraid, and said.
“First of all, although Fukada Akihiko is my uncle, I have no relationship with the [Dark] Organization. This is something that the 12th District Police Station can prove. If classmate has any questions, I suggest you consult the police yourself.”
“Secondly, I am very sorry for the passing of your mother, but if your way of revenge is not to strive hard for a better future and personally avenge your enemy, but to bully me, an ordinary person who has nothing to do with this matter, here. I seriously doubt the teaching ability of your homeroom teacher. If a person with such a childish idea like you can graduate successfully and become a hero, then this society is probably doomed.”
Then, she took the stunned Sato Shinichi’s hand and walked past Minako Hishiyama, whose expression was changing unpredictably, with her head held high, towards the teaching building.
But in the next moment, a fire wall about one meter high appeared out of thin air in front of them. A voice filled with suppressed anger rang out from behind.
“Did I say you could leave?!”
