Chapter 606 Chapter 64 Doting
“Hmm, Miss Irene?”
Verafia’s golden moon-like eyes, with slightly opened slender eyelashes, curiously observed this Silver Moon Elf wearing a Black and White Maid Dress.
Having stayed in Count Sirius’s castle for nearly half a month, Verafia had become familiar with many people. However, she had rarely had the chance to interact with this Silver Moon Elf, who, despite possessing great power and being known as the proudest and most aloof among the elves, was willing to serve a human as a maid.
Verafia hadn’t even fully understood why Irene had left her homeland or what her true feelings were towards Count Sirius.
However, the only thing she could vaguely grasp was that this elf didn’t seem as difficult to get along with as she looked; instead, she appeared to be a gentle and delicate elf.
“Verafia, hmm, are you alright!”
Ophi rushed over, her small face showing a look of concern.
“It’s probably just a slight sprain. Miss Ophi, there’s no need to worry too much.”
The Silver Moon Elf raised her exquisite face, seeming to notice the beautiful girl in her embrace looking at her curiously. She smiled slightly at her, “However, Miss Verafia must be careful.”
After saying that, she handed the girl to the Ice Dragon Girl.
“Hmm, why are you talking like I’m a child?”
Verafia’s snow-white face flushed slightly. As Ophi carefully helped her stand, she was about to thank Irene when Ig, who had followed behind, rushed to her side, his face full of worry, and gently took her small hand.
“Veer, are you hurt?”
Although she had just answered a similar question, seeing Ig’s somewhat self-blaming expression and worried tone, Verafia couldn’t help but feel a sense of comfort.
Supported by Ig, she sat on a chair that Irene had signaled the maids to bring. The young girl raised her small face, revealing a gentle smile, and shook her little head.
“It’s nothing… it’s just my ankle hurts a little.”
As she spoke, her slender feet, wrapped in delicate white stockings and high-heeled leather shoes, gently moved slightly on the ground.
Ig checked and found that there was indeed no serious injury. He breathed a sigh of relief and said with a smile, “Veer, you’re a Young Lady, so why are you still acting like a child when you play?”
The same words, spoken by Ig, brought a surge of sweetness to Verafia’s heart. Verafia deliberately raised her golden eyes, bit her lip lightly, and acted spoiled as she used to.
“Who says a Young Lady can’t act like a child… hmm!”
Suddenly, with a tender moan filled with affection, Verafia’s snow-white face turned redder.
The black-haired young man knelt before her, gently lifted the hem of her skirt, and his fingers carefully touched the girl’s sprained ankle.
“What are you doing, you guy…”
With a shy moan, Verafia tried to move her small foot, but the young man carefully held it in his hand. Even through the delicate silk, she could feel the young man’s fingers, hot and burning like flames, on her fair, tender ankle.
A thread of warm demonic power flowed gently from the young man’s fingertips.
Verafia secretly glanced at him. The black-haired young man was indeed intently touching her ankle, focused and undistracted. However, his aura and warm demonic power made her feel somewhat flustered.
The young girl wanted to shift her delicate body but found it inappropriate. So, she slightly lowered her flushed little face and chided him with a mixture of annoyance and affection.
“I told you, it’s nothing. And, you this guy, can you not do this in broad daylight? For a girl, her ankle… it’s easy for people to…”
Her voice trailed off slightly. Verafia suddenly remembered that in everyone’s eyes, she and Ig were indeed a couple. So, she quickly corrected herself.
“Even if she’s your girlfriend, it’s still embarrassing. Besides, Little Fei and Miss Irene are right here!”
Ophi stuck out her slender tongue, crossed her arms, and slightly turned her body, indicating that she had grown accustomed to their affectionate displays. The exquisite face of the silver-haired elf maid captain showed a gentle smile, indicating that she didn’t mind.
“A shy Young Lady is also very cute.”
Gazing at the girl’s blushing face, Ig curled his lips and said with a smile.
He stood up from the ground, took the girl’s small hand again, and carefully helped her up. He then asked with concern, “Veer, does it still hurt?”
“I already told you… it’s nothing.”
Verafia complained and then tried to take a soft step. Her snow-white delicate face tilted up slightly as she playfully stuck out her tongue and muttered softly, “It feels warm and doesn’t hurt much anymore.”
Ig’s demonic power was of very high quality, and because it had fused with her own flame origin, it could be considered as power of the same source. With his careful manipulation and control, allowing her to absorb it was not difficult… however, no matter what, it was a great waste.
The demonic power, which could not be considered a healing ability, was being deliberately used in this way. In almost ninety percent of cases, it would be a useless expenditure.
Even she herself had never done such a foolish thing before… this guy is such an idiot!
Verafia’s childish lips pouted slightly, but her jade-like willow arm grabbed the young man’s arm.
Ig knew this was the girl’s way of acting spoiled. A smile appeared on his face, and he gently wrapped his right arm around her soft waist, his fingers stroking her soft hair. He looked up, and the silver-haired elf maiden was indeed smiling gently, her exquisite silver eyes looking at them.
“Mr. Ig, you dote on Miss Verafia.”
The elf maid captain’s voice was clear and pleasant, like a beautiful melody.
“You flatter me. After all, she is a Young Lady…”
Ig replied with a smile. Suddenly, he felt the girl’s slender jade fingers gently grasp his collar. Her small head buried in his chest, as if she was feeling shy.
This doesn’t seem like the Young Lady… Is she deliberately trying to act spoiled and get close to me?
Ig thought, and his right hand gently stroked her beautiful hair. The girl’s soft, delicate voice seemed to confirm his thoughts.
“This girl…”
Ig couldn’t help but smile. He suddenly realized that for some reason, he always liked to call this noble Goddess Princess in his arms “girl.” Was it because she was too endearingly naive and acted like a little daughter, evoking affection?
Of course, Ig only dared to think such things in his heart.
If he were to say them out loud, even though Verafia rarely put on airs of a Young Lady lately, if she were to get truly embarrassed and angry, he wouldn’t have an easy time.
So, he looked up and continued to respond to the elf maiden who was watching them, smilingly saying, “And besides… Miss Irene, aren’t you also quite doting on the Count?”

I Was The Hero, But I Woke Up as a Phoenix Princess?!
身为勇者的我竟然成了凤凰大小姐
From the travel diaries of a Phoenix Princess reborn from the inferno, chronicling her life on the road with a supposedly “useless” young hero…
On their journey, their fellowship continues to grow: a Dragon Princess of silver frost, a young Vampire Princess with eyes of blood-crimson, the Saintess of Radiant Holy Light, the noble Princess of the White Iris…
“Hmm?” Verafia paused, tilting her head as she gracefully twirled a soft strand of her fiery hair around a finger. A hint of suspicion flickered in her beautiful eyes. “Ignet, why does this sound suspiciously like you’re assembling a harem?”
“My lady, there is a saying: ‘The fish is what I desire, and the bear’s paw is also what I desire.’ A wise man knows that if he can have them both, his home will be harmonious and all his affairs will prosper,” he began, puffing out his chest with the air of a profound philosopher. “Is that not a truly beautiful thing? A… a paragon of peaceful coexistence?”
He faltered under her smoldering gaze.
“…Ahhh! It was a joke! I’m sorry, Milady, please don’t burn me! I swear my only desire is you!”
