In the World Tree, Dwarf King Mud got up to bid her farewell.
Verafia had heard from Ig that not long ago, the capital city of the Mountain Kingdom, Moen, was attacked by the Magic Kingdom under Fatter’s command. This almost caused the entire Dwarf Kingdom to split, and Mud himself had been in a deep sleep for over a year. The fact that he didn’t smash Fatter with his iron hammer was already a sign of respect for her.
For Mud, of course, he didn’t want to stay with Fatter any longer. Additionally, his arrival in the Emerald Forest was due to the imminent invasion of the dark elves. Upon receiving a plea for help from Sky City, Mud led his personal guards.
Since Verafia had already become the Goddess of Life, there was no longer any need for the Dwarf King to linger. He prepared to return to deal with the neglected domestic affairs.
“No need to see me off. To tell you the truth, the mundane affairs in Moen City give me a headache. I can’t count on those useless elders to be back. However, if you still need help, you can have Ig inform me. I can relax in this forest again.”
Mud laughed heartily. He looked at the girl’s beautiful face and was about to pat her shoulder with his large hand, when he suddenly realized that his old friend, both in body and mind, had already become a beautiful young lady. He then awkwardly retracted his hand.
“Ahem, you should be called Miss Verafia and the Goddess of Life now. However, Your Highness, the Spring of Life that the elves originally gave to me was all given to you back then. When you revive the Sacred Tree of Life again, don’t forget to send me more.”
Mud’s joke made Verafia’s lips curl up. She gave a gentle smile, waving her small hand to bid him farewell.
Because of her connection with Ig and Mud, the girl’s rather suffocated mood had eased slightly. She raised her golden eyes. The Dwarf King had already left, and Ig was seeing him off, discussing matters of “legends” and “eternity.”
Beside her, besides Ophi and Fuya, only the Magic King Fatter and the “Blood Lord” Medanz, who was by his side, remained. They were gazing at the newly born World Tree on the other side of the starry sky. In their dark eyes, there were ripples of emotion that even Verafia couldn’t understand.
Ophi walked over, took her by the wrist, and raised her snow-white little face. Her pair of luminous blue eyes shimmered. She slightly parted her lips: “Veer, it’s Anderdun, can you save him…”
Verafia then remembered that Anderdun had stayed behind with the young lady to block Zorgia, but he had been beaten to the point where his soul had shattered. Only a portion of his soul’s origin had been preserved by Ophi using ice.
In Ophi’s heart, Anderdun had shattered his soul to save her, which was why she always felt very guilty. She had protected the origin of the demon king’s soul, even at the cost of her own injuries, and handed the soul sealed by ice to Verafia when she had just returned to her side.
However, as soon as Verafia had caught it, the reinforcements from the dark elf high priest had arrived, leaving her no time to look at it. This was followed by continuous wars.
“Goddess of Life.”
Just as Verafia was about to take out Anderdun’s soul origin, a deep voice suddenly came. She turned her face, and Fatter, wearing a black robe, walked up to her. He slightly bowed his head, showing ceremonial respect to the Goddess of Life.
“Fatter, are you here to claim the Origin of the God of Life?”
Verafia’s gaze fell on him, and a faint voice emerged.
This former “Mage” companion was someone Verafia could never figure out. Prior to this day, the other party had always been her imaginary enemy. Indeed, in this World Tree, it was Fatter’s sudden betrayal that had reversed the situation with the dark elves. However, this did not mean that Verafia could let down her guard against him.
Even though she had become the Goddess of Life, Verafia did not think she could underestimate him.
“Not much is needed. I only need to analyze the essence of life. Your Highness, you only need to give me a branch and leaves from the Tree of Life.” Fatter said.
Verafia nodded.
Although the World Tree was far beyond the galaxy, with the divine power of life, it was enough to transcend the concept of space. The girl’s slender fingers pinched lightly, plucking a strand of emerald-like life branch and leaves, and handed it to Fatter.
“Thank you, Your Highness.” Fatter said, expressing his gratitude.
Fatter sought the origin of the law of life. Verafia remembered that this was his flaw in magical life. If Fatter could truly analyze her life law with magic, perhaps, as Seralis had said, Fatter would really create his own laws.
Of course, Verafia didn’t think these were things she needed to care about.
“By the way, you also asked this young lady to do another thing.”
Verafia raised her small face. “Seralis said it was related to ‘Bishop of Light’ Moon?”
“As the singer said.”
Fatter put away the life branches and leaves, revealing a rare smile. “I will write to you later. In my opinion, even if I don’t ask for your alliance, Your Highness, you will still be an enemy of his Sacred Light.”
Verafia frowned slightly but did not refute.
“Actually, I have one more request.”
Fatter suddenly said, “May I borrow Lafornos?”
“Lafornos? What do you need her for?” The girl’s expression suddenly became wary.
“No need to misunderstand. Miss Verafia, Lafornos once forged a sword for you with ‘Burning Stars.’ I just want to ask her to forge a magic furnace for me with Star Fire.”
Fatter waved his hand, and the stream of magical light flashed rapidly in mid-air. Although it was just a rough model and only the surface, the dense magical patterns still made her feel complex. It was completely imaginable how complex the magic furnace Fatter truly intended to forge was.
Verafia suddenly remembered a former acquaintance named Fernos whom she had met in Rubiel City a long, long time ago. He was Fulan’s adoptive father and had also learned the forging technique of “Burning Star Fire.”
At that time, Verafia thought he had been wiped out by the Royal Guard, but perhaps, the real possibility was that he had fallen into Fatter’s Sacred Domain of Magic?
The girl asked, and Fatter gave a positive answer.
“That’s how it is… Hmm, since Fernos is forging magic furnaces for you and is safe and sound, then this young lady is relieved.”
Verafia said. She didn’t think Fatter had any reason to lie to her. She raised her small face again: “However, regarding Lafornos, this young lady cannot make the decision. If you really have a need, you’ll have to find her yourself.”
Well, given what Fatter had done, he was a person to be extremely vigilant about. Her not stopping him from looking for Lafornos was already a sign of her considering that he had helped her.
Fatter did not show disappointment at Verafia’s answer, only a slight smile. Then, he slightly bowed his head, preparing to bid farewell.
Medanz, beside the Magic King, suddenly spoke: “Goddess of Life, may I have the Death Wing meet me?”

I can’t write about the plot of the Magic Kingdom either, so I’ll force myself to wrap up the foreshadowing…
PS: I feel like the conclusion I’m writing is getting longer and longer… (faints)
