Chapter 21 The Origin of Light (Part 2)
Brilliant legal marks bloomed on the slender blade of the life sword. With a light wave of Verafia’s slender hand, the greatsword of sin split open. The blade struck the fallen angel’s chest, and then, like a sun, a blinding light erupted!
Threads of stardust-like fluorescent light crossed Verafia’s immaculate face. She slightly raised her golden eyes, and what she saw was the annihilation of Sariel’s divine laws beneath the life sword, and the radiance that burst forth.
The long sword landed on his chest, and a light mark moved. Even though Sariel was immortal, he could hardly resist. His body collapsed, and the most radiant lifeforce was almost annihilated!
Verafia waved her slender hand, and the light blade of the life divine sword let out a faint hum. The surrounding area was filled with strong light and fierce energy born from the collapse of laws. The life divine power touched it and silently dissipated.
She slightly tilted her golden eyes. As the life divine sword struck the fallen angel, Sariel’s wings condensed, and the avatars used to block Andes and the others also scattered.
However, compared to Ig, they were still far away. So, Verafia gently waved her slender hand, only pulling Ig over, crossing the collapsing space-time to her side.
For Verafia, who was a deity, the concept of distance was irrelevant. Even across thousands of mountains and rivers, she could feel Ig, who bore her mark, and could shape and pull him at will. Of course, she wanted this guy to stay by her side.
Seeing Ig appear before her, Verafia hummed a soft, delicate sound. She slightly tilted her snowy face, about to show off to this guy and get him to praise her. However, Verafia suddenly remembered that there were many outsiders around Ig, so she pouted her small mouth and said with a pout:
“Hmph, idiot Ig. Who asked for your help, this fallen angel? Goddess Princess could have defeated him herself!”
As soon as her delicate voice came out, Verafia suddenly realized that it wasn’t the right time to be tsundere. She quickly flicked her long eyelashes, pretending to be indifferent, and her golden eyes fell on the young man, praising him:
“Hmph, hmph, but Sariel’s light-feathered avatar was at least close to legendary strength. Ig, you defeated him so quickly, you’ve improved quite a bit. Are you close to becoming legendary?”
Ig’s warm eyes fell on her, making Verafia feel as if this guy knew all her little thoughts. She gently clutched her slender fingertips, feeling ashamed.
“Isn’t it all thanks to Goddess Princess’s gift?”
Seeing Miss Goddess’s snowy face turn slightly red, wondering why she was shy again, Ig guessed that this little girl was thinking too much. He suppressed the urge to tease her again and looked at the End in his hand:
“But what Veer said about legends… when I fought Sariel’s avatar, I seemed to have touched upon some.”
“Hmph, that’s more like it! Yes, yes, you are the Goddess’s knight, Ig. You have to work harder…”
Verafia raised her little head and quickly replied. She was about to use this to gloss over the recent embarrassment when suddenly, her tender little hand was held by a hot large hand, startling her. She raised her head and saw Ig’s slightly curled lips.
Mischievous guy, he’s my knight, how dare he be so presumptuous with Goddess!
Verafia protested indignantly in her heart. However, a hint of shyness on her snowy face prevented her from making a sound.
“Veer, but regarding Sariel…” Ig’s voice sounded in her ear.
“That fallen angel? Hmph, he’s not going to die that easily. Coincidentally, I have something to find him for.”
She said softly, and Verafia turned her face. In her beautiful golden eyes, Sariel’s judgment divine sword, which had been cut in half by Ig’s “Eternal Sword,” fell into the depths of light. The sacred markings, like burning radiance, suddenly shattered into threads, with golden sand swirling around, turning into a pure brightness that merged into the boundless light.
Verafia’s lips curved gently, and she turned her head to look at Ig again. She blinked her big eyes and said charmingly, “Ig, let’s go see this angel.”
After speaking, the young girl, without waiting for Ig’s reply, took his hand and walked towards the shining and radiant Arnor Cathedral, towards the sacred tower of the “Three Holy Kings.”
Blazing light surged around, but for Verafia, the Goddess of Life, it couldn’t touch her in the slightest. Her tender little hand held Ig’s, and the light receded before them. The blinding curtain was lifted, and the light of the melted “Judgment” divine sword fell here.
This was the origin of light, and a figure of an angel knelt on the ground.
He should have had a flawless divine body, but nearly half of his body was annihilated and broken. The remaining body was still burning with sacred light flames, a testament to this fallen being’s intense resistance to light.
The fallen angel held a sword in his hand. The black fire of sin coiled around it, defiling the once sacred sword of light. At this moment, the golden heavenly fire falling from the angel’s shattered body seemed to wash away the sins that had been stained, and the sacred markings of “Judgment” emerged in a few wisps of golden fire.
Pulled by Verafia’s soft little hand, Ig arrived before the fallen holy angel. At this moment, Sariel’s divine power and laws had been annihilated. In his broken body, there was no trace of an immortal expert’s aura.
However, before the kneeling fallen angel, on the top of the sacred tower, dazzling light swirled—as if it were the origin of all light.
“Veer, this is…” Ig subconsciously turned his head and looked at Verafia.
“Ah, I forgot to tell Ig.”
Verafia tilted her head. Her neatly tied beautiful hair slid down her fragrant shoulders, and she said lightly:
“This is a fragment of ‘Light.’ Don’t underestimate it, Ig. This is the purest origin of the God of Light, representing the essence of light… Well, according to Sariel, it’s Moon’s transaction with him.”
Hearing the girl’s voice, Ig raised his gaze. Within the light, a hazy and noble figure was vaguely outlined, and the sacred aura of light was incredibly dense. This feeling was not unfamiliar; Ig had felt it countless times from the girl beside him.
This was the aura of a deity.
“Sariel, could it be that he intended to…” Thinking of that possibility, Ig raised his face, and couldn’t help but be surprised.
As if sensing their arrival, the fallen angel’s broken body slowly stood up before the light.
Light rays touched the angel’s face, showing no remorse or pain. What remained was the excitement that Verafia had seen before, an unspoken eagerness and possessiveness.
His gaze swept over the black-haired young man held by the Goddess of Life, marveling at the “Eternal Sword” that had severed the light, and surprised by his relationship with the Goddess, a hint of jealousy appeared.
Then, the fallen angel’s gaze fell upon Verafia.
“As expected. Sariel, you didn’t actually want to devour me, but rather, you wanted to fight me and borrow my divine power and laws?”
Looking at the fallen angel and the light that was constantly forming behind him, Verafia’s golden eyes raised, and she said smugly.
“Your status is noble; I should not be so presumptuous.”
Sariel said. He looked at the girl: “However, Your Highness of Life, you had already discovered it. Yet, you kept holding back against me?”

I feel like this chapter dragged a bit.
