**Side: Prim**
We’re at the Priests’ Guild right now.
It seems Yamato has a new magic he wants to try, but I wonder what kind of magic he plans to perform. He said he’d tell me if it’s successful, but I can’t stop thinking about it.
“Oh, hello, Ms. Miria.”
“Welcome. How can I help you today… Ah, it’s a wedding with these young ladies, isn’t it?”
Miria, the Priests’ Master and Bishop, greeted us, but she’s already mistaken. Yamato will marry Meena and Flam eventually, but we haven’t received word from Meena’s family yet. The wedding ceremony with Meena will likely take place in the Royal Capital, so unfortunately, that’s not it.
“No, I plan to marry both of them someday, but it’s for a different matter today.”
“A different matter?”
“Yes. We’re here to try performing some magic today.”
When Yamato said that, Bishop Miria’s eyes widened, and she immediately broke into a smile.
“That’s wonderful. Edward performed a new magic called Melting the other day, but it’s classified as Craft Magic.”
Her evaluation from Crafters is high, but others can’t use it, so she doesn’t really understand what kind of magic was performed.
Magic that is performed is immediately transmitted through statues of the magic goddesses located in various places. The Melting that Ed performed has already spread to other cities, and I believe many Crafters are actually using it. Therefore, if the magic Yamato is considering is performed, it will also spread to other cities and become usable.
“However, it’s just something I came up with, so I’ll probably fail today.”
Even as he says that, isn’t it the opposite of what he means, that he’s confident it will be performed someday? I’m genuinely curious about what kind of magic he plans to perform.
“The performance of magic is all about inspiration. If you don’t have the idea, you won’t even think of performing it.”
That’s true. Many Inn magics are performed magics, but they were all performed because someone thought of them, and thus recognized as magic.
“That’s true. Anyway, I’ll give it a try.”
Whether it succeeds or fails, we won’t know unless we try.
After that, we spoke with Bishop Miria for a little while, and then Yamato and I entered the ritual chamber. This is my first time here since marrying Yamato. Although, that was only three days ago.
“I recall that performing magic involves stating the magic’s name, purpose, and effect silently in front of the magic goddess statue, using Magic Power. Alright, let’s try it.”
Yamato stood before the magic goddess statue enshrined in the ritual chamber and began to pray with his eyes closed. No, he’s performing a ritual, but to an observer, it looks just like prayer.
After a while, the magic goddess statue began to emit light, and characters appeared on the book it held.
Wait, it succeeded!
“Ah, it seems to have succeeded. Both of them.”
“You performed two magics!?”
Flam is surprised, but I, Raus, and Rebecca are all very surprised. We thought it would be just one, but to perform two and have both recognized…
“The performed magics are Ee-quipping? And an others? Both are Supplication Magics, aren’t they?”
Rebecca was the first to read the characters that appeared on the book. She’s surprisingly bold for a child.
Be that as it may, the fact that both are classified as Supplication Magics means anyone can use them. The book does display an overview of the magics, but while Ee-quipping is understandable, the meaning of the other one is unclear.
“Ee-quipping: Instantly don and doff clothes, armor, and Arms and Armor located in storage or magic tools. Incantations are the magic name, on/off, and the name of the equipment. However, prior preparation requires wearing it once. I-is this incredibly convenient?”
Indeed, it is. Although you have to wear it once, being able to put on armor in an instant means you can fight immediately even if something happens. My Battle Dress and Order’s armor are difficult to remove once put on and take a lot of effort. Just that alone is a blessing.
“Magic tools, you mean storage bags and mirror bags, right? So items stored within them are also subject to this, meaning even those who aren’t High Class can use it.”
That’s right. Winged Tribe can use Storageing, but other races can’t use it unless they evolve to High Class. If that were the case, the number of people who could use it would be too limited, but if the magic tools in possession are also targeted, then it truly becomes usable by everyone.
“The other magic, the other one… the explanation is very long.”
That’s right. Let’s see, what does it say…
Allows one to check and configure their own magic. Open to open, close to close. Linked magics can be used directly from the operator.
* **Libring**: Select on/off for title display. Effect persists until reconfigured.
* **Storageing**: Check items in storage. Sorting by configured categories is also possible.
* **Ee-quipping**: By registering a set of equipment, the effort of equipping each item individually is eliminated. Up to 10 sets can be registered by number.
And so on…
…What is this?
I mean, it’s undeniably convenient. But isn’t this too convenient? It not only links with other Supplication Magics but also with some Guild Magics – this is utterly outrageous. I’ll explain only a portion of them due to the sheer number, but for Hunter Magic, it links with Mapping and Searching. For Craft Magic, it’s Measuring, Coloring, Drawing, and Infringing. For Commercial Magic, it’s Counting, Investing, and Negotiating. For Healing Magic, it’s Examining. For Waiter Magic, it’s Planning. For Temple Magic, it’s Regulating. For Knight Magic, it’s Scanning.
…That’s quite a lot. Mapping can be recorded directly on the Steering rather than on paper, and Searching records what the used object was and allows confirmation. However, Mapping is limited to Labyrinths, so its usefulness won’t be known until we dive into one. Questing is the same, but here, even if confirmed at the Hunter’s Guild, it doesn’t disappear, so you can check where monsters were located later. This means I can check all the Inn magics bestowed, as well as my own Unique Magics that I’ve developed and can use. But the most surprising thing is that it even linked with Ee-quipping, which was just performed. At this point, you start to wonder if it’s not just crazy…
Yamato is happily fiddling with his Steering. There’s something resembling a blue plate in front of him; I assume that’s the operator. I can’t see the content, of course, but I can tell he’s using it. Otherwise, his movements would look bizarre, so this is helpful.
“Most of what I was thinking is now possible. While Questing is only displayed as text, it would cause various problems if it could be recorded on a map, so as a Hunter, this is more helpful.”
Maps, indeed. Detailed maps are state secrets, but simplified maps are widespread. Hunters, in particular, modify these maps themselves, so some people create very detailed ones. The Hunter’s Guild needs to keep track of monster habitats, but when reporting, they surrender their License, transfer the recorded Questing information to a map created as a magic tool, and then erase the License information. Oh, but since Hunter Magic Mapping is also linked, it might be possible to record labyrinth maps.
“Ah, I can check the contents of the Mirror Bag too, if I register it with Magic Power!”
“I won’t keep things in there permanently, but it helps not having to open it each time.”
Raus and Rebecca already seem to be proficient with the Steering. I can use Storageing, so I don’t use Mirror Bags or Storage Bags, but being able to check their contents is certainly convenient. Especially with Storage, some items are just put in and left there.
“‘Ee-quipping Off, Category 1.’ Oh, it disappeared. ‘Ee-quipping On, Category 1.’ Whoa, it works like this.”
Yamato, for his part, is using Ee-quipping to don and doff the equipment he registered with Steering. He looks like he’s having fun…
“But Ms. Prim, both magics are truly convenient. Since you can use Storageing, I think you should check it out too.”
“That’s true. ‘Steering Open.’ Let’s see, Storageing is… right here.”
As Flam said, it’s undoubtedly a convenient magic, so I opened the Steering and selected the Storageing item. The board’s display changed when I touched the text, which surprised me at first. Let’s see, inside the Storage is…
Yes, there are the clothes I put in when I left Valentia, the money I received as payment for a request, and also one Winger Drake. Honestly, I had almost forgotten about the clothes. The total amount of money is also displayed, and I can check the number of coins individually. It can also be divided into Raid, Union, and personal use. It’s convenient because I don’t have to calculate it each time.
It’s actually quite interesting when you come to use it.
In the end, we kept the Steering open and made various settings until Bishop Miria arrived. Bishop Miria was overjoyed that the performed magics were registered as Supplication Magics, and two of them at that! With Ee-quipping, I can equip myself anytime, so I should buy some everyday wear too. I’ll use Steering when I need to confirm something, but I often forget things myself, so I expect to use it frequently.
Honestly, the ideas of visitors are truly amazing.
