After hunting in the Ideal Mountain Range until past noon, we returned to Float as planned and finished selling monster materials at the Hunter’s Guild, as well as the rank-up procedures for Ciel and Seras.
Our levels have also increased; Ciel is now level 24, and Seras is level 29.
Although we hunted a considerable number of monsters since then, Sayuri seemed thrilled to have acquired not only Shell Grizzlies and Heavy Shell Grizzlies but also a Phalanx Grizzly.
I hadn’t expected another Phalanx Grizzly to appear, nor did I anticipate it showing up during the battle with the Heavy Shell Grizzly.
Well, Rex-san managed to sever the Phalanx Grizzly’s head with a single blow using his Unique Magic.
We also hunted Feather Drakes, Sky Serpents, Killer Wasps, and Storm Ligers. We even managed to hunt a few Winger Drakes and Killer Wasp Queens, though in small numbers.
Since both Ciel and Seras were able to take down several S-N rank Killer Wasps, it’s a fairly decent result for their first real combat experience.
“No, not just decent; it’s incredible for a first-time achievement!”
H.R.H. Maruca directs a look of exasperation at me, but considering who we are, I think we’re still being quite restrained.
“I won’t deny that. Still, are you sure about this?”
“About what… Oh, the Grizzlies?”
“Yes. Even setting aside the Shell Grizzlies and Heavy Shell Grizzlies, you rarely encounter Phalanx Grizzlies. Wouldn’t it have been better if you, Yamato, and the others kept one for yourselves?”
While it might be true what Sayuri-sama said, we did secure three Shell Grizzlies for ourselves, so I think that’s more than enough.
“Even if we took them, we’d likely just waste them in our alchemy practice. It would be more beneficial to society if you had Grandma Sayuri prepare them.”
As Yuri rightly pointed out, the Shell Grizzlies we took will be used for practice by Yuri, Carol, and Apricot after they’ve been dissected. Apparently, almost fifty Noble Potions can be made from just one Shell Grizzly’s liver. Since we have three, each of them can practice without reservation, which will likely speed up their promotion to M-rank.
“If that’s the case, then I suppose it’s fine.”
“We also took the Feather Drakes and Winger Drakes, so we’re more than satisfied.”
One Sky Serpent was allocated to H.R.H. Maruca and Ciel, while the remaining Sky Serpent, Killer Wasps, and Storm Ligers went to Lily Wish, and the matter was settled.
Feather Drakes are materials for Gate Crystals, and Winger Drakes are for Gate Stones, so I intended to secure them even if I had to pay. However, since they were the lowest ranked and fewest in number among the monsters we hunted, they kept asking if I was sure that was okay.
“Still, having this many people using Storage, it’s troublesome when we ask for monster purchases.”
“I know, right? Storage makes it easier to check who has what, but it’s still quite a hassle.”
Saya-san and Prim are saying that, and I understand how they feel. Storage is a spatial storage magic, and its capacity is proportional to the user’s Mana. Therefore, when high-level individuals use Storage, they can easily store enough to fill an entire town. Even when I and Prim store enough to fill a city, we still have plenty of room left. However, this makes checking what’s stored incredibly tedious.
By using the Steatering I performed, I can see what’s stored, but it’s common for multiple people to possess the same item. So, when requesting monster purchases, we have to consider who will bring out which monster. If everything could be bought, there would be no problem, but if too many are sold, the price plummets. We have to identify that, so it’s quite a headache for Hunters. If only we could share storage on a Raid or Union level…

As I was thinking that, I let out a sound. That’s right, if Steatering is personal spatial storage magic, why not try performing spatial storage magic for Raids and Unions? I don’t know if it’s possible, so I’m not saying it out loud yet, but it’s worth a try.
“No, I just had an idea. I want to go to the Priests’ Guild, is that okay?”
“The Priests’ Guild? Are you perhaps going to perform something?”
The only magic I’ve directly performed are Steatering and Ee-quipping, but Prim performed Flying, Mako performed Scaffolding, Ed performed Melting, and Fiana performed Locking, so Mana seemed to grasp it.
“Yeah. Though I don’t know if it can be performed.”
“That sounds interesting. May I come along?”

What? Sayuri-sama and Lily Wish are coming too? Well, it’s not like I mind. If it can actually be performed, it will be a great help to Sayuri-sama and Lily Wish, so they should be happy if it works.
And so, we left the Hunter’s Guild and headed for the Priests’ Guild. With Bacion’s Restoration of territory in Amister, the Priests’ Guild Headquarters is set to be newly constructed in Float, but construction is still underway. Therefore, the former Priests’ Guild Amister Headquarters is currently serving as the temporary main headquarters.
It nearly caused a commotion when not only we but also Sayuri-sama arrived, but once we stated our purpose, we were promptly shown to the ritual chamber.
“Alright, then let’s do this.”
I already understand the procedure for performing magic. I knelt before the statue of the Goddess of Magic, closed my eyes, imagined the spatial storage magic I had just thought of, and offered a prayer to the Goddess of Magic to convey its essence.
“Oh, it lit up!”
“Huh? Ah, so this means it was performed, right?”
“I’ve never seen that before.”
Lily Wish seems to have been influenced by Sayuri-sama and has tried to perform magic before. Unfortunately, she’s never succeeded. So, seeing it actually succeed, she seems deeply moved.
“Let’s see… Magic name: Inventoring. Classification: Supplication Magic. Content… Wow, this is amazing.”
Sayuri-sama exclaims in surprise, but I need to check how it was performed.
Supplication Magic: Inventoring
By combining individual storages, the storage capacity is halved, but it becomes possible to store items in a shared space called an Inventory. The capacity of the Inventory increases according to the number of combined storages. To combine storages, a prayer must be offered before the statue of the Goddess of Magic. Inventory users can check its contents via Steatering. Items can be moved from Storage to Inventory via Steatering, but the reverse is not possible. The usage history of the Inventory and items removed from it can be confirmed by all registered users via Steatering.
“I never thought of this concept. Although the storage capacity is halved, it’s still more than enough for personal use, and as the number of users increases, the Inventory capacity grows, making it a very convenient magic for Hunters.”
“Th-that’s right. Plus, Inventory users are visible through Steatering, and since it requires a prayer before the statue of the Goddess of Magic, it can’t be increased arbitrarily. Even if someone tried to increase it, they’d be found out immediately.”
“It’s convenient that items can be moved from Storage to Inventory too.”
“It’s also good that the history and even the items removed can be confirmed by not just the user.”
Most of it turned out as I expected. The storage capacity being halved and the need to pray before the statue of the Goddess of Magic to register are different from what I imagined, but considering safety and other factors, this is better. And as Sayuri-sama said, even if the storage is halved, the capacity is more than sufficient for personal use. After all, Storage, even when just starting out, is said to have the capacity of a private residence.
“Ed and the others will use Feel, but let’s register the members present here.”
“I agree.”
“We’ll also register after the Wing Crest.”
Prim and Meena are both eager to register, and Lily Wish as well. Well, it seems convenient to use, and from now on, we’ll be able to hunt monsters, throw them into the Inventory, and then release them all at once when selling them, so registering is definitely the way to go.

We immediately knelt before the statue of the Goddess of Magic and decided to combine our storages. Seras and Camellia cannot yet use Storage, so unfortunately, they will have to wait until they evolve. Oh, it feels like our Mana is connected, and something like that.

This is more convenient than I thought. It seems the Inventory can only be opened when taking things out, but since we can transfer directly from Storage, we can do the storage individually. Even if we accidentally throw something into the Inventory, it probably won’t be a major problem within a Raid or Union.

You’re right, Beast Carriages are better off in the Inventory. We, as well as Lily Wish, received and are using the Multi-functional Beast Carriage as a reward, so it’s even more so.

While I can’t talk, Sayuri-sama also doesn’t seem to be the type to read instruction manuals until the end. Reading the explanation again at Yuri’s prompting, it does indeed state later on that Inventories cannot be overlaid and multiple Inventories cannot be used, and the method for canceling registration. In that case, it seems best to consider the Inventory as being for Raids and Unions. It will primarily be for Hunters, but as people like Emperor Reinhardt and Rex-san, who are married, will also use it, I suppose Inventoring was classified as Supplication Magic rather than Hunter Magic. It’s good that the Goddess of Magic also considered that properly. At any rate, this will make future hunts much easier.
