This chapter introduces characters by name and title, rather than just names, who appeared in the first chapter.
I’m posting this to organize the characters, as I’ve introduced a few too many.
Character Introductions
1. Jiro Tanaka – 28 years old, single, no girlfriend.
Occupation: Dungeon Tester (Permanent Employee)
Magic Aptitude: 8 (General Class)
Role: Warrior
Protagonist of this story.
He quit his job at a black company and joined a company run by the Demon Lord’s Army, triggered by a flyer.
His current job is to challenge dungeons created by the Demon Lord’s Army as a Tester.
As a Warrior, he challenges dungeons solo with a growing sword and a piece of Ore Tree.
His latent potential is an astonishing Magic Aptitude of 8, but he is still developing. His future growth is something to look forward to.
2. Suella Handelberg – 210 years old, single, no boyfriend.
Occupation: Chief of Tester Department, Human Resources (Permanent Employee)
Magic Aptitude: 6 (Vice-General Class)
Role: Spirit Mage
A Dark Elf affiliated with the Demon Lord’s Army.
She is the one who hired the protagonist and gives off the impression of being competent due to her intelligent and cool appearance.
In fact, she is competent enough to be entrusted with the position of Chief in the Human Resources Department and has the trust of her superiors.
In terms of combat power, she is skilled enough to overwhelm the protagonist in close combat. Her main role is backline support as a Spirit Mage.
Due to a chance encounter, she is currently infatuated with the protagonist.
3. Instructor Kio (Real Name: Raidou) – Age unknown, married, two wives, four children.
Occupation: Seven Generals and Instructor
Magic Aptitude: 8 (General Class)
Role: Samurai
One of the Seven Generals affiliated with the Demon Lord’s Army.
He is the Commander-in-Chief of the Ogre Tribe and the protagonist’s sword technique master.
His appearance suggests he is not a law-abiding citizen, and he embodies the image of an Ogre Yakuza, always wearing a tough expression and never losing his smile.
In close combat and hand-to-hand combat, and when wielding a sword, he is among the top generals. His toughness, matching his appearance, makes him arguably the best frontliner for the Demon Lord’s Army.
His strength can currently only be measured by the fact that he gave Sword Master a trauma.
He enjoys teasing people and drinking alcohol.
4. Instructor Fushio (Real Name: Nōraifu) – Age unknown, married, one wife.
Occupation: Seven Generals and Instructor
Magic Aptitude: 8 (General Class)
Role: Curses Master
One of the Seven Generals affiliated with the Demon Lord’s Army.
He is the Undead King and perhaps the one who contributed to the protagonist’s durability?
His attire is that of a medieval gentleman, but his Dark Fighting Spirit gives him the atmosphere of a grim reaper from Hell.
He is proficient in most magic, but as his appearance suggests, he excels in necromancy and curses that inflict status ailments.
He is quite easygoing, even preparing a Magical Stick to match the Oni King’s Sword Master.
This item would later be known as the “Magical Hunting Stick.”
5. Supervisor Evia – Age unknown, single, relationship status unknown.
Occupation: Head of Demon Lord’s Army Guard and Head of Human Resources
Magic Aptitude: 9 (Quasi Demon Lord Class)
Role: Unknown
A Demon who is in a position to protect and support the Demon Lord.
She possesses top-tier power among demons but has not yet revealed her full capabilities.
She can deploy barriers of considerable strength over vast areas with minimal movement.
Her appearance evokes that of a beautiful woman personifying the coldness of a tundra or blizzard.
She is a demon who enjoys teasing and toying with people more than her meals.
Her current target for teasing is her subordinate, Suella, and she is always plotting something.
6. Keiri – 209 years old, single, no boyfriend.
Occupation: Regular Employee, Human Resources
Magic Aptitude: 6 (Vice-General Class)
Role: Unknown
A Dark Elf who works in the same Human Resources department as Suella.
Although she is an airhead, she has maintained a close friendship with Suella for many years.
Her abilities are considerable. Currently, she serves as the person who handles the mistakes when Suella becomes the target of Supervisor Evia’s teasing. She is caring and well-liked by younger people.
7. Demon Lord (Real Name unknown) – Age unknown, single, relationship status unknown.
Occupation: Demon Lord and President
Magic Aptitude: 10 (Demon Lord and Hero Class)
Role: Unknown
The president of Maocorporation and the leader of the Demon Lord’s Army.
He has the appearance of a handsome man who could be found in Ginza or Kabukicho, but he possesses an imposing presence and dignity.
He is quite mischievous and enjoys fun.
The following are members who appear less frequently.
8. Lunaria (Real Name unknown) – Age unknown.
Occupation: Dark Elf Queen and Instructor
Magic Aptitude: 9 (Quasi Demon Lord Class)
Role: Unknown
The queen of the Dark Elves, possessing high magic aptitude.
Her skin is the typical dark complexion of Dark Elves, but she has long, smooth, moon-white hair, making her a beautiful woman.
9. Warlock – Age unknown.
Occupation: Uuor (Giant King)
Magic Aptitude: 8 (General Class)
Role: Unknown
The king of the Giant race. While possessing the spirit of a warrior, he is also a craftsman who wields a hammer himself as a blacksmith.
The weapons and armor possessed by generals and the Demon Lord were forged by him.
10. Amili – Age unknown.
Occupation: Kiō (Machine King)
Magic Aptitude: 7 (Vice-General Class)
Role: Unknown
A hybrid between golems and homunculi created with ancient technology. Although her magic aptitude is slightly inferior to that of other generals, she possesses knowledge and skills that compensate for it.
A beautiful, inorganic girl with circuit-like patterns on her skin.
11. Kuzuri – Age unknown.
Occupation: Kuzuri (Queen of Insects)
Magic Aptitude: 8 (General Class)
Role: Unknown
The queen of insects, a woman possessing alluring charm, a predatory kind of beauty.
She is bursting with sadism and is fully motivated to take on the Dungeon Testers this time.
12. Pascal – Age unknown.
Occupation: Dragon King
Magic Aptitude: 9 (Quasi Demon Lord Class)
Role: Unknown
The king of the Dragon race, who combines hedonism with a love for combat. He is a general who truly lives by meritocracy rather than pride or lineage. He has the magnanimity to befriend humans as long as he is having fun, but he is cold-blooded towards the weak and the foolish.
13. Royce – Age unknown, single, no girlfriend.
Occupation: Human Resources Department, Tester Training Instructor, Lecture Specialist
Magic Aptitude: 6 (Vice-General Class)
Role: Unknown
A Dark Elf man who has unrequited feelings for Suella.
He too has the good looks of a Dark Elf, which are generally appealing to women.
However, perhaps due to the unique romantic views of Dark Elves, his unrequited love remains unfulfilled, and he is often sent flying and embedded in walls.
