The moment Kousuke began his incantation.
All the attendees of the completion ceremony shivered. This was because they felt the power emanating from Kousuke. The inhabitants of this world, to varying degrees, possess the ability to sense power. It could be said to be an instinct as living beings, for they are always at risk of being attacked by monsters.
The reaction of the clerics, who were engaged in training, was particularly pronounced. The power Kousuke was currently using was divine power, not the holy power that clerics normally wielded. However, precisely because of this, they were captivated by the uniqueness and strength of the power emanating from Kousuke.
“…What is this…”
It was Laurel, the head of the Elisamil Temple in Mikusen, who muttered this. But it was still better than merely being able to speak. The clerics seated around him were stunned into a daze by Kousuke’s power. These were individuals who held high positions within the temple. Their sensitivity to power, whether holy or magical, was high. Such people were able to fully perceive the magnitude of Kousuke’s power.
Laurel was experiencing the same thing, but he was relatively better off because he had a stronger resistance than the others. Apart from them, there were also those who were not as affected. This was not because they were strong individuals, but simply because their sensitivity to power was low. However, this did not mean they underestimated Kousuke’s power. It was quite the opposite. Because their sensitivity was low, they were able to perceive a power that they normally could not, to an unprecedented degree. In other words, it meant Kousuke was emitting such immense power. Therefore, it could be said that everyone present felt the extraordinary power Kousuke possessed.
“I pray for the summoning of three Heavenly Maidens.”
Kousuke’s incantation continued. At this stage, the participants were merely overwhelmed by Kousuke’s power and had not yet realized what he was trying to do. The only ones present who understood what Kousuke was attempting were Wahid and the others who had been informed beforehand. Alex, of course, knew what was happening, but even so, he could only express his astonishment at the magnitude of the power he felt from Kousuke.
At the same time, he praised his past self for not choosing to antagonize Kousuke. Seeing such power displayed before him made the idea of opposing him seem utterly foolish. And Alex believed that the participants present would likely think the same.
“The first pillar is Eris of the Sun’s Light.”
“The first pillar is Spica of the Star’s Light.”
“The first pillar is Jal of the Moon’s Light.”
The incantation continued, and the power did not wane but grew stronger. The ones feeling this the most intimately were, naturally, Kouhi and Mitsuki. While remaining cautious of their surroundings, Mitsuki gently glanced at Kouhi. Kouhi was looking at Kousuke with an expression of bliss. Mitsuki thought she herself must have had a similar expression.
Kouhi and Mitsuki were, after all, beings created by Asura for Kousuke. There was no room for doubt or suspicion. It was natural, as they were created to be that way. However, witnessing Kousuke’s power before them now captivated them more than ever. And at the same time, they felt a power they hadn’t possessed before. That power allowed them to feel a strong connection with Kousuke. Mitsuki decided to think about what this power was later. For now, she resolved to see through what Kousuke was about to do.
“Oh, three Heavenly Maidens, the symbol of light!”
“Please answer my prayer!”
The participants watched Kousuke’s continuous incantation as if they had forgotten to breathe. The incantation Kousuke was reciting now was unlike anything any of the participants had ever heard. However, everyone present felt that the result this incantation would bring about would be unprecedented. That was why they were paying close attention to Kousuke’s every move, not wanting to miss a single detail.
And among the participants who were watching, it was the clerics who noticed it first. They had a clue regarding the names mentioned in Kousuke’s incantation. While these were not names generally known, they were high-ranking individuals. They had seen texts where those names were recorded. Nevertheless, they thought it was impossible, but Kousuke’s next incantation completely shattered that disbelief.
“Summoning Circle of Divine Power, answer my prayer and manifest your might!”
The moment Kousuke uttered that incantation, three summoning circles appeared in the sky above the temple. Among the clerics present, there was not a single one who did not know these summoning circles. The Summoning Circle of Divine Power is a summoning circle that high-ranking clerics are expected to know. This is only natural. Summoning a god by human hands has been a long-term research subject of the temple. Once successful, one’s position within the temple, at least, would be secure. Therefore, everyone had attempted it at least once, but all had ended in failure.
“Summoning circles that have appeared in my name!”
“By my word, summon the three Heavenly Maidens!”
With that incantation, all preparations were complete. Kousuke poured all the divine power he had accumulated into the Summoning Circle of Divine Power. Excluding the time he used God’s Left Eye, this was the first time he had used his divine power to its full extent since descending into this world. The fact that it did not go berserk like the first time was proof of his improved control over divine power. In the end, he completed the incantation without collapsing, unlike the first time.
The Summoning Circle of Divine Power, having received Kousuke’s incantation and divine power, flashed in various colors as if in joy. This too eventually subsided, and it disappeared after emitting a particularly strong light. And in its place, three goddesses remained.
“You’ve passed without a doubt.”
“Congratulations. You are the first summoner in history.”
“I knew Kousuke could do it.”
The three summoned goddesses spoke to Kousuke one after another. For Kousuke, it had been since the “Evergreen Garden” that he had last seen Eris. He had only met Jal briefly in a flash of light before, so a proper meeting was only now. Of course, this was Spica’s first time meeting him.
“Hello. Is it considered a first meeting for you, Spica?”
“We talk so often, it doesn’t feel like a first meeting,” Jaru replied with a chuckle.
“However… speaking as one who was summoned… is it alright to summon three?”
“?? There’s nothing strange about it? If anything, I feel tired. But that’s probably because this is the first time I’ve used this much divine power.”
Upon Kousuke’s confession, the three goddesses wore expressions of exasperation.
“What can I say… Is it okay to say such a thing in front of so many people?” Eris asked, concerned.
Kousuke shrugged and declared, “Isn’t it a bit late for that?”
Kousuke’s reply brought amused expressions to the goddesses’ faces.
“Well then, we cannot stay long, so we will depart after fulfilling your wish.”
As Eris said this, Spica and Jal each raised a hand towards the temple, and Eris, in unison, pointed her palm towards the temple. Light emanated from the palms of the three goddesses, and the light merged into one, enveloping the temple.
“…With this, this temple has come under our protection.”
“Thank you.”
As Kousuke said this, the three goddesses disappeared. Having witnessed this, Kousuke turned back towards the event participants. The gazes of the participants Fixated on Kousuke were difficult to describe. It took a little while for them to comprehend that what had just happened was indeed reality.
After more than a hundred chapters labeled as fantasy, a proper incantation has finally appeared. Other than this, perhaps only Floria’s spells exist. lol
And so, with the summoning of the gods successfully concluded, I will properly change the chapter title by tomorrow’s update. The title for Chapter 10 is “Let’s Try Summoning a God into the Tower.”
