Let’s Manage the Tower – Chapter 182

Chapter 15 begins.

It was half a month after Kousuke brought in the simplified Divine Power Engraver that the formal announcement was made to establish Crown Branches in cities across the Central Continent, from East to West, and North to South.

Kousuke wondered if it was possible to establish branches in four cities simultaneously in such a short period as half a month, but Wahid answered in a single word.

“We were already considering it, so all that was left was the actual arrangements. As for the locations, they were prepared for us without us asking.”

“…That feels a little scary, though?”

“Well, I suppose it does. However, it would be the same no matter where they were built.”

Crown, with its advantage of the tower, grew rapidly in a short period.

It was only natural for them to be wary of Crown’s rapid growth.

Kousuke understood this and had no intention of scolding them.

Rather, if they *didn’t* do something like this, he would be worried.

“Setting aside surveillance, what about betrayal?”

“There’s no way to predict that. It’s impossible to prevent unless we use slaves for everything, but that’s not the case.”

As long as an organization is run, people have to be hired.

Once a certain number of people are gathered, there will inevitably be troublemakers.

An organization where everyone pledges loyalty is either brainwashed or threatened.

“Of course, the more appealing an organization Crown becomes, the easier it will be to manage.”

“You’re working hard.”

Wahid was the one actually running the organization, and Kousuke only chimed in occasionally.

“Not at all. I’m enjoying it, and things will actually become a little easier from now on.”

“Oh? Really?”

“…There aren’t many organizations that God is directly involved with, besides the church.”

Wahid’s words made Kousuke’s expression show that he had forgotten.

Quite some time had passed since Kousuke was publicly revealed as an Avatar.

It had been known from the beginning that Kousuke founded Crown.

Because of this, Crown was recognized as an organization with divine involvement.

“Thanks to that, we’ve attracted good talent.”

Kousuke let out a sigh at Wahid’s smile.

Kousuke still didn’t know how to act as a god, but he decided it was fine if the title of Avatar was useful.

Although Kousuke wasn’t involved in the hiring for the new branches, if Wahid said so, it was probably fine.

“Well, if it helps Crown, you can use me as much as you want. Just don’t use me for anything strange.”

“Of course. As you may have forgotten, you are my master. Besides, I have no intention of stepping on a tiger’s tail.”

Wahid said so and looked at Kouhi, who had accompanied Kousuke.

“That’s good to hear then. …So, the new branches are fine, but what about the six marquises of Kenerusen?”

“We’ve concluded there’s no problem after removing that fool. We can accept them at any time, as long as we have your permission.”

“What will their position be?”

“We’re thinking of creating a new Production Division as a new department.”

Up until now, agricultural products had been bundled with the Crafting Division, but now that Kenerusen, a major production area, was effectively under their wing, that was no longer feasible.

So, they decided to establish a new department altogether.

“I see. But who will oversee it?”

“Oh, the overseers aren’t particularly busy these days because the organization is stable. I was thinking of having Tin concurrently manage it, as before.”

Tin, along with the other supervisors, had been listening to Kousuke and Wahid’s conversation.

Of course, Tin was present, and when his name was called, he made a “Geh” expression.

Sarasa and Doru, who were nearby, chuckled.

“Alright then. Tin, it’s up to you.”

“Y-yes!”

Tin, addressed by Kousuke, straightened his expression and replied.

“So, who will be the Division Head? Will you choose from the six marquises?”

*This is difficult. Kenerusen has been united in the form of six marquises until now, so it remains to be seen if suddenly establishing a top leader will work smoothly.*

“I see. Even so, even if they can come immediately through the Teleport Gate, they will be producing in a location far from the Fifth Floor, so there will need to be people here too, right?”

“That’s certainly true. Therefore, we’ll need to coordinate with the six marquises on that matter.”

Since the entire town came under their control, there would likely be a period of trial and error.

“What’s the state of the townspeople?”

“Nothing much to report there either. Of course, there was some initial confusion, but they have calmed down now. They truly live up to their name as the six marquises.”

It seemed the six marquises had used their influence to suppress any unrest, keeping it to a minimum.

This wasn’t done through military force.

Even spreading rumors intentionally could achieve a certain level of guidance.

Lord Felcia’s story was mixed in with those rumors.

It served as a demonstration of the consequences for those who showed malice towards Kousuke, using Lord Felcia as an example.

“I see. …So, are the agricultural land development on the Fifth Floor progressing?”

“It’s progressing without a doubt. They are the six marquises who have been involved in development for a long time, after all. It’s incomparable to what was before.”

“I see. I hope this leads to an increase in food and, even if only a little, an increase in population.”

Kousuke wasn’t just referring to the town on the Fifth Floor.

He hoped that if the population could be increased across the entire continent, the current situation on the continent could be changed.

Although this was a long-term prospect.

“Well, that’s fine. So, what about Mikusen?”

“Regarding that, it would be faster to look at the report from the Defreya Clan.”

Wahid said so and handed Kousuke a document.

It contained the current state of Mikusen.

The three temples of Mikusen had officially given permission to worship and pray to Kousuke, the Avatar.

However, Kousuke’s accomplishments as a god were practically nonexistent at the moment.

If anything, it was only that adventurers were beginning to recognize that the Status of the Crown Card was a blessing from Kousuke.

While the Status had spread explosively among adventurers, it had not spread as widely in general society.

The reason was the limited number of cards that could be made per day, which prevented wider distribution.

Even with the addition of a second Divine Power Engraver, the backlog had not been cleared, so it would be some time before they reached people other than adventurers.

For those living solely within the town, Status was not a necessity, so whether it would spread further remained uncertain.

In the end, no significant changes had occurred in the town of Mikusen.

However, the document clearly stated to pay attention to the movements of the church factions from other continents.

Despite this, there was nothing Kousuke could do, so he had no choice but to leave it be.

He felt like saying, “Let the church factions sort it out amongst themselves.”

“Hmm. …Well, it’s fine. For now, let’s just wait and see. Let me know if they say anything.”

“Understood.”

“Is that all I need to ask for now? Do you have anything, Wahid?”

Wahid thought for a moment and shook his head, then confirmed with the three supervisors and Exu.

As all four shook their heads, the discussion for today concluded.

This was a situational report that included the status of the area around the tower.

From the next chapter onwards, we will confirm the status of Amamiya Tower and the surrounding towers.
