Cecilia attempts to fight back against an unexpected enemy ambush.
“Ugh, what?! What is it?!”
Cecilia quickly drew her sword and dodged an attack from the wild boar beastman.
“Damn it, it, it hurts! You damn woman, you’re getting ahead of yourself. I won’t hold back anymore. I’ll beat you until you cry and beg for mercy!”
The beastman snorted, saliva flying, and became enraged.
“That’s what *I* should say, you crude pig’s failure. Are you a crossbreed between an Orc and a pig? You must be starving for women.”
“Grrr, watch your words. We are Boa Orcs, a gang that rules this entire area.”
It seemed they were a kind of Orc called Boa Orcs. They were probably related to the green-skinned Forest Orcs and gray-skinned Dark Orcs she had encountered before. They had fangs, which was similar, but these felt closer to beastmen.
Cecilia narrowed her eyes with distaste, then quickly kicked off the ground and approached the Boa Orc. One of them swung an axe they held in their hand towards her, but she swiftly dodged to the side and thrust her sword in. A red line appeared on their thick wrist, and blood gushed out immediately.
“Aaaagh, damn it! My wrist is cut, the bleeding won’t stop. Big brother, what should we do?”
“Get out of the way. Struggling against such a small fry. Pathetic.”
Pushing aside the man in front, a larger Boa Orc emerged from behind. This one had several scars on its body. The axe it held was also exceptionally large, and there appeared to be bloodstains on the handle.
The bulky Boa Orc took a step forward and swung its axe down at Cecilia. However, as if she had anticipated it, she quickly dodged and plunged her sword into its flank. Just as she tried to pull it sideways, her sword was grabbed along with the arm it was stuck in.
“Cecilia-san, watch out! Let go!”
As Philiana shouted, the hand holding the axe lunged at Cecilia. For a moment, she seemed to hesitate.
“Fuheheh, gotcha. Now, what should I do with you?”
Cecilia’s face, whose both arms were now grabbed, was approached by the wild boar-like face. She gritted her teeth and struggled to break free. Now that she was taken hostage, she couldn’t rashly attack. If only she could get her hands off her.
“Fine, you on the right, Elana and I will go to the left. Veronica, you’re awake, right? Handle that big guy.”
Following Nina’s instructions, Philiana, Sharin, and Elana dashed off. Elana first unleashed fire magic towards the enemies in front. The Boa Orcs panicked, but it didn’t hit them directly.
“Ugh, huh, dangerous! It almost hit me. Haha, where are you aiming?”
“B-but we’re surrounded by fire!”
The fireballs that landed quickly spread flames behind the enemies.
