A Capricorn youth entered the land battle.
Without hesitation, I picked up the fallen harpoon and charged at the monster. With the momentum of my leap, I drove it into its leg.
“Ughhh!”
The sea tyrant screamed, unable to bear it. The youth, freed from its mouth, fell onto the sandy beach. Icy liquid leaked from the enraged Uduras’s teeth, making a hissing sound.
“Arisugawa-san, are you alright?”
I turned at a familiar high-pitched voice and saw Mizukazu coming towards me. Never mind how he knew I was here, it was too dangerous for him to be in a place like this.
“Mizukazu, don’t come here, it’s dangerous!”
But behind him, several men were following. They were the village fishermen. They were all chattering about what that monster was. Startled by them, the Uduras hurriedly turned and fled back to the sea. Without even sparing a glance at the Ichthyocentaurs, it dashed away somewhere.
“Huff, huff, are you injured?”
“Thanks, you saved me. Ah! Right, could you bring me some water? We have an injured person.”
He nodded and headed back to the fishing village. I rushed to the side of the Capricorn youth, who was lying listlessly on the sand.
“Hey, are you okay? Snap out of it.”
“Ah, ah, it’s you, human. Cough, I’ve been saved, thank you. Good…”
The youth moaned in pain, a ghastly wound visible on his tail, stained red. I took off my cloak and laid him on it.
“It’s okay, if you stay still, it’ll heal soon.”
Saying that, I tried to force him back into the sea. But with every movement, fresh blood dripped from the wound. At this rate, even ordinary sharks would be after him. The fishermen were in a panic, watching the monster and the centaurs disappear.
“We have to stop the bleeding first. Excuse me, can someone bring me some bandages? And some clean cloth too.”
The sea centaurs, wary of humans, did not approach. Instead, they chased after the escaping monster.
“Heeellooo! Ah, there you are!”
Piyo’s voice came from behind me. My relief was short-lived; it was bad to call everyone to a place where there were so many humans. The fishermen were surprised by the companions who had come from behind. At this point, it didn’t matter. What mattered was that everyone was safe and that the youth in front of me had to be treated. I took a bucket from Mizukazu and washed the wound with fresh water. Pushing past the humans, his companions rushed forward one after another.
“Oh my, you’re injured. We need to treat it immediately.”
Pauline, faster than anyone, took out cloth from her bag and began to tend to the wound. She seemed to pay no mind to the fishermen’s voices.
“Alright, I’ve stopped the bleeding. Cecilia-san, you can use healing magic, right? Please.”
Pauline asked, and Cecilia began to tend to the wound.
“What are you all looking at? This is not a show. The monster is gone, please go home.”
The petite woman pushed the fishermen away. Nina looked on blankly at the scene.
“Right, I need to bring some seawater, or his scales will dry out. Nina-san, please.”
Handed a bucket, she went to fetch water without a word.
