As I approached, it raised its hindquarters and wagged its tail. Even I, who knew nothing, knew this was a signal to play. I threw a branch that was at my feet, and it ran off somewhere.

The scorpion dog disappeared immediately. What a shame, I thought a healing character had finally appeared. I was alone again. Perhaps God took pity on me, because there was a fruit-bearing tree nearby.
The surface of the branches was dry, but indeed, hard nuts were growing. This is lucky! I immediately picked one and broke it with my dagger. The inside was filled with white fruit and was juicy. My mouth, which had been dry, involuntarily watered. Biting into it, sweet fruit filled my mouth.
