The clash between the Mengyuan Country’s Little Prince and Chu Yun had already become a sensation throughout the Archipelago.
The Mengyuan Prince, known as the Little Arrow God, had shone brightly at the recent Academy exchange. His prowess was so immense that in the vast Xingzhou, only “Jade Scholar” could rival him. Wan Jin could be considered a peak figure among the younger generation of Xingzhou.
Chu Yun, on the other hand, was not to be underestimated. His achievements alone were enough to earn admiration. His record of fighting ten thousand against one had left the world in awe. Furthermore, with the surname Chu, he had been undefeated since his debut, earning him the moniker “Little Tyrant,” a testament to his formidable style.
This battle had undoubtedly captured the attention of countless individuals.
The Shu family had even specially prepared a venue on Finger Pointing to the Sky Mountain for this spar and invited the Peculiar Person, Sleeping Old Man, from the Archipelago to serve as the referee.
Finger pointing to the sky, shouting at the heavens. This was Finger Pointing to the Sky Mountain, shaped like a human arm emerging from the sea, with a clenched fist and only the index finger extended, pointing towards the firmament.
This was also the residence of Sleeping Old Man. Disputes throughout the Archipelago would often be mediated by this elder, who acted as an intermediary and witness.
It was also Sleeping Old Man who mediated the ceasefire negotiations between Cao Jing, Shu Family Island, and various island forces.
Now, seeing him again, Chu Yun found him unchanged. His old eyes were blurry, and he still looked sleepy. However, anyone who underestimated him based on his appearance would be gravely mistaken.
Sleeping Old Man was firmly ranked on the Teng List, a Peculiar Person for centuries. According to the standards of the Peculiar Person Ranking, Sleeping Old Man possessed at least six Spirit Monsters. In reality, he rarely made a move. Centuries ago, he had already become a six-spirit-monster expert and appeared on the Peculiar Person Ranking. His current strength remained a mystery.
“Truly a hero among youths. It is an honor for this old man to bear witness to this battle,” Sleeping Old Man nodded to the Mengyuan Prince and then glanced at Chu Yun. Seeing the significant change in Chu Yun’s appearance, a sharp glint briefly flashed in his eyes before being concealed by his lowered eyelids.
“Finger Pointing to the Sky Mountain, this is a mystical island in the Archipelago, renowned for ages. It is my honor to fight here. Little Tyrant, although this battle is not a fight to the death, I hope we can both unleash our true strength and have a thrilling fight!” The Little Arrow God’s eyes sparkled with divine light, his tone confident and relaxed.
This was his first time seeing Chu Yun, and he had not realized the magnitude of Chu Yun’s physical transformation. If he had seen Chu Yun’s original appearance, he might not have been so at ease.
“Unleash our true strength? My true strength can summon seven Tribulation Demons to fight for me,” Chu Yun chuckled inwardly, but his expression remained impassive as he scanned the area below.
On the peak of the index finger of Finger Pointing to the Sky Mountain stood the three of them. On the mountainside, representatives of major powers were gathered. At the foot of the mountain and on the sea, countless sea ships were anchored, numbering in the thousands.
These were all people who had heard the news and rushed from all directions to witness this battle.
As the Mengyuan Prince and Chu Yun conversed, the crowd below also engaged in hushed discussions, sharing their opinions.
“Who do you think will win today’s battle?”
“The Little Arrow God naturally has a much higher chance of winning, there’s no doubt about it. But as someone from the Archipelago, I naturally hope the Little Tyrant wins!”
“The Little Arrow God has five Spirit Monsters at his disposal. But the Little Tyrant only has two. It will be very difficult for the Little Tyrant to win.”
“That’s not necessarily true. Haven’t you heard the rumors from the Yao Shan Kingdom? The Little Tyrant delved deep into the Endless Forest this time and obtained the Ten Thousand Beasts King’s secret treasures. His strength should have increased significantly.”
“Indeed. Look at the Little Tyrant’s appearance; it has undergone a complete transformation. This proves he has subdued powerful demonic creatures. This will be a fierce dragon-tiger battle.”
Among the crowd, some favored the Little Arrow God, while others felt the outcome was uncertain, believing Chu Yun also had a chance to win.
“Quick, look, they’re making their move!” Suddenly, someone in the crowd with sharp eyes shouted. Everyone looked up and concentrated, seeing Sleeping Old Man gracefully retreat to the side, leaving a large area for Chu Yun and the Mengyuan Prince.
“Mengyuan Prince, take this Meteor Arrow first,” Chu Yun chuckled heartily, drawing forth the Hurricane Bow. He nocked an arrow in an instant.
In a flash, an arrow shot out, leaving a streak of azure light in the air as it hurtled directly towards his opponent.
“Meteor Archery, I know that too. Watch this,” the Mengyuan Prince also produced a bow. This bow was black iron in color and named “Regretful.” Heroes of heaven and earth bowed their heads in regret beneath its might.
He shot an arrow, striking Chu Yun’s Meteor Arrow head-on. With a boom, his arrow disintegrated, but Chu Yun’s Meteor Arrow, bursting through the explosion, continued its charge towards him.
“Hmm? I’ve heard whispers of a precious Dao method you possess, Little Tyrant, called ‘Enhance Brilliance,’ which amplifies the power of Dao methods. Seeing it today, it is indeed true,” the Mengyuan Prince, upon seeing this, did not panic.
“Meteor Chasing Moon!” he suddenly shouted, releasing a brilliant arrow. After shattering Chu Yun’s weakened arrow, he shot another towards Chu Yun.
Simultaneously, the Mengyuan Prince stomped his feet, and the ground beneath him cracked. His body shot upwards, soaring into the sky.
“Scattering like Lightning!” Hovering in the air, he rained down arrows upon Chu Yun from above. The arrows transformed in the air, one becoming ten, ten becoming a hundred, a hundred becoming a thousand.
In the blink of an eye, a dense barrage of arrows formed, carrying the might of a thousand troops charging forward, whooshing down towards Chu Yun.
“Ah, the Little Arrow God is so fierce right from the start. He hasn’t even used his full power yet, and Chu Yun is already at a disadvantage,” someone remarked. “Look at his footwear; aren’t those Cloud-Treading Shadow Boots? These boots allow one to ride clouds and mist, making the Monster Tamer’s movements incredibly agile and unpredictable. With such a Demonic Beast, coupled with his bow and arrow, he has fully embodied Mengyuan Country’s pincer and guerrilla tactics.”
“The five Demonic Beasts in the Mengyuan Prince’s possession are all extraordinary. His ‘Regretful’ bow is a treasure bow personally forged by the former Arrow King, possessing Supreme grade quality and capable of reaching the Tribulation Demon level. His Cloud-Treading Shadow Boots are one of the top ten footwear items in Xingzhou, renowned far and wide! It’s no wonder the Little Tyrant is at a disadvantage.”
The spectators gasped and sighed in astonishment. In the entire arena, the Mengyuan Prince was on the offensive, his Cloud-Treading Shadow Boots giving him an almost divine ascent.
Wielding the “Regretful” bow, he unleashed various archery techniques and Dao methods, one after another, forming an unending rain of arrows, his offense incredibly sharp.
In contrast, Chu Yun only used the Hurricane Bow and Meteor Archery to retaliate. His archery, at first glance, seemed ordinary. However, to everyone’s surprise, he managed to defend solely with this archery technique.
Each time he drew his bow, he pulled the string into a perfect arc. His posture as he shot arrows was filled with the beauty of strength.
“What’s going on? Under the Little Arrow God’s fierce onslaught, the Little Tyrant is fending him off with just a single Demonic Beast bow and Meteor Archery?”
The onlookers watched for a while, filled with confusion and bewilderment.
Chu Yun stood like an unmovable reef, enduring the dazzling, eye-catching, and formidable waves of attacks, his stance steady. Even his expression remained calm and composed.
The Little Arrow God, however, felt differently.
“How can this be?! He’s defending against my onslaught using only Meteor Archery, arrow against arrow! I’ve never encountered a peer like this. Every single one of his arrows appears precisely where it’s needed. Is his archery even more terrifying than mine?”
The Little Arrow God’s thoughts whirled. He suddenly exclaimed in his heart, “Impossible! My archery has reached the Great Accomplishment stage. For his archery to be stronger than mine, it would have to be Transcendent! But Transcendent is beyond the Great Accomplishment stage, requiring at least a hundred years of accumulation, exceptional comprehension, and a unique experience to attain the ability to command Demon Soldiers.”
“How old is Chu Yun? How could he possibly possess such a level? This is impossible!” The Little Arrow God quickly dismissed this thought.
Chu Yun’s realm was indeed not “Transcendent.” However, he was only a step away from it.
In fact, this was true not only for archery but also for swordsmanship.
All of this was thanks to the Ten Thousand Beasts King’s scrolls and Chu Yun’s arduous training in the mountains. His realm was now beyond what it once was.
“I understand, I understand! Your archery realm has surpassed Great Accomplishment, and you are only one step away from Transcendent. Are you even human? How did you do it? My archery has been taught by veteran generals and passed down through secret transmissions from countless divine archers since I was young. How many years have you been learning archery!”
After a few more exchanges, the Mengyuan Prince finally saw through it. His eyes widened in shock as he let out a deafening cry.
“What? I didn’t mishear?”
“The Little Tyrant’s archery is that exceptional? Even the Little Arrow God has to bow down in defeat!”
“The Mengyuan Prince’s archery is universally recognized as his most formidable and practiced skill. To think that he would suffer a setback against Chu Yun in his strongest domain!”
“The Mengyuan Prince, known as the Little Arrow God, has now been forcefully dethroned in his most prideful field. How will he carry himself from now on?”
A wave of excitement rippled through the watching crowd. They had never anticipated such a scene. Chu Yun, if he didn’t act, was quiet. But the moment he did, he once again stunned everyone with his exceptionally refined archery skills, leaving them wide-eyed.
“Your archery realm is higher than mine. But it’s alright, my combat prowess isn’t solely based on archery. White Mandarin Gold Feathered Eagle!”
The Mengyuan Prince, after all, was a prodigy. He quickly recovered from such a significant blow. He reached out and patted the Immortal Pouch at his waist.
Instantly, a streak of golden light flashed, and a piercing shriek echoed through the heavens. A giant eagle, with a wingspan of nearly twenty feet, its feathers as white as snow and its tail shimmering with golden light, emerged from thin air.
“Every Island Country has a clan of Supreme grade Demonic Beasts that thrives. Is this the White Mandarin Gold Feathered Eagle of Mengyuan Country?”
“This White Mandarin Gold Feathered Eagle is incredibly powerful. This aura… it possesses at least eight thousand years of cultivation.”
“Eight thousand years of cultivation, and a Supreme grade Demonic Beast! The Little Tyrant is in trouble now!”
