Chapter 47: Impossible
This sensation was extremely unpleasant for the Goddess of Life.
This Sea of Consciousness was supposed to be her domain.
She was the one who arrived here first.
It was like a bald, burly man cornering a timid, delicate little loli, letting out a sinister chuckle as he prepared to have his way—
When suddenly, the loli grinned ferociously, her clothes exploding off to reveal terrifying, bodybuilder-like muscles and a dark, oily physique.
The kicker? What she pulled out was twice as big as the bald man’s, and she even wrapped it around her waist and tied it in a knot!
But no matter what Shirley thought, her will was already completely suppressed. The air around her seemed to freeze, rendering her utterly immobile.
To her horror, she realized that the man before her had a willpower that, through layers of amplification, had reached a level close to that of a Chief God.
Lewenstein couldn’t possibly possess such overwhelming willpower.
Nor could Loli. The issue likely lay with the sleeping girl whose forehead bore a swirling planet.
“Damn it…”
Shirley gritted her teeth.
She was debating whether to detonate her Godhead and flee.
But in that split second of hesitation, the man had already teleported right in front of her, seizing her by the neck and lifting her off the ground.
“So I really can’t kill her.”
Xi Wei frowned slightly, his heart unsettled.
He wanted to crush the Goddess of Life, Shirley, right then and there, eliminating this unstable factor once and for all.
But he found himself unable to do it. Part of his emotions were currently being influenced by his little maid.
Could he really blame her?
Xi Wei sighed helplessly.
Loli had her own considerations. Since she didn’t want Shirley dead, he would let it be.
Xi Wei wasn’t some male chauvinist. He respected Loli’s choices. Wasn’t a real man supposed to support his woman while also helping her eliminate future troubles?
Besides, according to Loli’s thoughts, Shirley wouldn’t be able to cause any real trouble in the end.
With that in mind, Xi Wei merely restrained Shirley and began instinctively drawing out the willpower within her.
The extracted willpower dispersed into the surrounding Sea of Consciousness, transforming into floating ribbons of energy that would eventually merge with Loli.
“Let… let me go…”
“Human, do you… do you intend to watch the continent be destroyed? You… you’ll die too!”
“Mmm… stop… stop sucking… I’ll… I’ll break…”
Xi Wei remained unmoved by Shirley’s desperate pleas. Soon, a translucent crystal began to materialize above Loli’s Sea of Consciousness.
It was the Goddess of Life’s Godhead.
However, this Godhead was incomplete—only half remained, and it was severely damaged. The divine power within was sparse and incapable of generating more.
Xi Wei couldn’t continue absorbing. Any further, and Shirley’s will would collapse entirely.
He gently released his grip, letting Shirley slump weakly to the ground.
She convulsed in agony.
The sensation of having her power drained, of growing weaker by the second, was unbearable. Even her will-formed body had become faint and translucent.
“Loli, is this enough?”
Xi Wei called out softly in his heart.
His little maid was currently fused with him, and he wasn’t sure if she could hear him like this.
“It’s enough, Master~ Hehe~”
A radiant glow drifted out from Xi Wei’s body, coalescing into Loli’s form.
Her delicate face was filled with sweetness and joy as she threw herself at him, wrapping her slender arms around his neck and standing on tiptoe to plant a light kiss on his cheek.
After a moment of affectionate clinging, she flew to the center of the Sea of Consciousness. The Godhead and energy ribbons began converging toward her, eventually becoming part of her will.
Amidst the sacred, dazzling starlight, a figure gradually emerged—holding the Staff of Life, with the Life Codex floating behind her.
Her eyes gleamed with divine light, her expression solemn and majestic. The radiance swirling in her hands revealed the cycles of life and death, flowing with the rules and mysteries of existence.
But this vision lasted only a moment before the figure dissolved into scattered points of light, reverting to the familiar little maid who clung to Xi Wei like an octopus.
Xi Wei held her gently. Since this was a will-formed body, it lacked the usual soft, fragrant sensation, but he could clearly sense that her willpower had reached a level comparable to Shirley’s before.
In other words, before even ascending to godhood, she had already acquired a Divine Soul in advance. Combined with half a Godhead, igniting her divine flame in the future would be as easy as eating or drinking.
Lewenstein’s divine power was flickering intermittently. Xi Wei knew it was time to leave.
Though he still felt a twinge of worry.
He glanced at Shirley, who lay sprawled on the water’s surface, weak as a puddle of mud, before turning his gaze back to Loli.
As if sensing his concern, the little maid giggled, gently taking Xi Wei’s large hand and pressing her soft, warm lips to his neck in a comforting kiss.
She blinked her big, adorable eyes, licked her lips, and said meaningfully:
“Master, don’t worry~ After you return, Loli will wake up very soon to be with you~”
Seeing her confident expression, Xi Wei nodded and tenderly patted her little head.
As Lewenstein’s power faded, Xi Wei’s will gradually grew faint, disappearing from Loli’s Sea of Consciousness.
After Xi Wei left, Loli’s sweet, innocent expression shifted. With a cold demeanor, she walked up to Shirley.
Looking down imperiously at the Goddess of Life, she declared with absolute authority:
“Not killing you doesn’t mean I accept you. If you want to keep living and avoid complete annihilation, listen carefully to my rules.”
“First, when I’m being intimate with Master, as primary and secondary personalities, we’ll share sensations. If I lose consciousness during this time, you are not to take advantage and claim my Master. Otherwise, I will kill you without hesitation!”
“Second, your mission—you must still complete it. When the time comes, I’ll grant you control of this body, or you can teach me how to do it.”
Hearing this, Shirley was on the verge of breaking down in tears.
What kind of person was this?!
What did she mean by “claiming her Master”?
As the dignified Goddess of Life, would she ever stoop to such shamelessness?
