Chapter 724: Where Did I Go Wrong?
Xi Wei, the diligent little bee, returned to the palace after gathering his “honey” and continued with his work.
Apart from collecting the treasures of the King of Lapland, he also discovered something interesting among a pile of letters. For instance, Cthulhu had quite the audacity—not only had he targeted the Wintery Empire with The Winterbreaking Organization, but he had also established an “Anti-Magic Organization” against the neighboring Saint Rotia Empire.
Currently, there was still a base of The Winterbreaking Organization within the borders of the Wintery Empire. They had concealed its existence using a spell array. Previously, Xi Wei had sent troops to search for it, but to no avail, resulting in his bewitched uncle, Tulas, and the base remaining at large.
Fortunately, The Winterbreaking Organization hadn’t resurfaced since then. It seemed they had gone completely underground. Little did they know that in just a month’s time, their headquarters would be completely wiped out…
Dealing with The Winterbreaking Organization’s base was straightforward. According to the hints in the letters, Xi Wei now knew its exact location.
It was situated above a waterfall at the border of Eagle’s Ridge, supported by Floating stones created through Kalun’s alchemical technology and Mana chains, with an invisibility spell array hiding the entire base. The letters also mentioned that the way to deactivate the invisibility array was to find a specific stone by the river and thoroughly mix saliva with the bird droppings on it… Xi Wei couldn’t help but think that whoever came up with this method was a genius.
Of course, Xi Wei didn’t need such a crude way to reveal the base. He tore through space and stepped into the rift, emerging directly in the room of the Fox-eared girl, Ruo Yi. At that moment, she was half-undressed, leaning against the bed, looking at him with surprise.
“Master, weren’t you with Loli? How do you have time to come here?”
Though delighted by Xi Wei’s arrival, Ruo Yi couldn’t help but let a hint of jealousy and bitterness seep into her words. She took two steps closer, resting her head against his chest, her tender cheek pressing against him as she murmured softly, “Could it be that Loli couldn’t satisfy you, so you came to me? Does that mean I wasn’t your first choice?”
Xi Wei looked down at the teary-eyed Fox-eared girl. Even though he knew she was mostly playacting, he still found himself in a dilemma. This was the cruelest test—he’d rather fight the King of Kalun again.
But he had his own way of handling things.
He wrapped one arm around Ruo Yi’s slender waist and lifted her chin with the other, locking eyes with her as he said gently, “How could that be? You know my capabilities—if I didn’t want to stop, I could go on for a hundred years. But I did stop, because I know fairness is important. I have to share my affection equally, so here I am, coming to you.”
Ruo Yi couldn’t resist Xi Wei’s gaze. For a moment, she felt her body go weak, her eyes glazing over with intoxication. Already half-undressed, her dress slipped further, revealing her delicate shoulders, her snow-white collarbones, and the deep valley below…
It seemed they had grown even larger…
Xi Wei swallowed hard.
Ruo Yi’s figure rivaled Gabriel’s—neither too thin nor too plump, perfectly balanced in every way.
Originally, he had come to ask for her help, but now it seemed he’d have to help her first…
—
After fulfilling his “duty,” Xi Wei finally got to the point.
“Oh, so Master only came to me to open a portal? It wasn’t about sharing affection at all—just an excuse. How heartbreaking~”
Ruo Yi, her cheeks flushed, lazily draped herself over Xi Wei, her fox tail swaying back and forth, occasionally brushing against him. Though her words were full of complaint, her hands continued tracing circles on his chest, stirring his desires once more.
Just as he was about to pin her down for another round, Ruo Yi smirked slyly and snapped her fingers. In an instant, Xi Wei felt a chill around him. When he looked around, he was already above a waterfall.
“Well, since Master wanted to come here, I brought you directly~”
A pure white dress materialized around Ruo Yi—the Vena Holy Garment Xi Wei had gifted her. She wore it at all times, even while sleeping.
However, she was now fully dressed…
But the King of Winter was not.
Xi Wei, feeling awkward, reached for his Space Ring to retrieve his armor, but Ruo Yi stopped him.
“Master, are you shy?”
She covered her mouth, giggling. “Right now, we’re inside my time domain. No one can see us. Come on, quickly destroy that Winterbreaking fortress with your sword, and then we can get back to… more important matters.”
“But not wearing anything feels weird…”
It was nighttime. A couple of birds flew past Xi Wei as if he weren’t there, yet the chilly draft below still made him uneasy.
“Don’t worry, Master. No one can see you. I swear.”
Ruo Yi raised three fingers, amused by Xi Wei’s flustered expression. It was the first time she’d seen the noble King of Winter so embarrassed.
“Then why are *you* wearing clothes? Didn’t you say no one could see us?”
Xi Wei narrowed his eyes, immediately spotting the inconsistency.
“I… uh…”
Ruo Yi took a guilty step back, sticking out her tongue playfully. “It’s true no one can see! I’m just not used to it… and it’s so cold here. Master, you wouldn’t make me suffer, would you?”
Using his Divinity, Xi Wei confirmed they were indeed within a time domain, similar to being in a spatial rift. Their presence was completely distorted, constantly shifting through time. The Fox-eared girl hadn’t lied—she was just shy, hence still wearing the Vena Holy Garment.
“Heh heh…”
Xi Wei smirked darkly. With a swing of his sword, he cleaved the hidden Winterbreaking fortress in two. Death Divinity enveloped the entire area, instantly killing all the remaining members—including his uncle, Tulas. Dozens of kill notifications popped up, but Xi Wei ignored them, turning back toward Ruo Yi.
She seemed to know exactly what he had in mind.
Hugging herself, she backed away nervously, her snow-white tail flicking uneasily.
“Uh, Master, I was wrong. I really won’t do it again…”
“Where were you wrong?”
Xi Wei grinned wickedly, cornering her in a space she had willingly created for this very purpose.
Unable to meet his gaze, she bit her lip, tears welling in her eyes as she whispered in mock humiliation, “I shouldn’t have teleported Master while you were… naked.”
“No, that’s not it.”
Xi Wei shook his head.
A tuft of hair on Ruo Yi’s head perked up in confusion. “Then… where did I go wrong?”
Xi Wei gripped her shoulders, hooked a finger under the strap of her dress, and tugged it down with practiced ease.
“Your mistake,” he said with a devilish grin, “was not being equally *transparent* with me! Keke!”
