When Eryx descended upon the Demon Clan’s encampment, Antipa had already brought a group of demons and human nobles to greet him.
This was the first time many had seen a dragon descend. The dark figure twisted in the air, its massive body like a gigantic dark cloud obscuring the sun. Just by smoothly landing, Eryx created a tremendous magic power cyclone.
With exaggerated dragon wings folding, turbulent air currents were stirred up, producing a heavy rumble in the atmosphere. The red carpet prepared by the Demon Clan was blown away, and the ground was shattered under Eryx’s heavy claws. With just one step, Antipa could clearly see the surrounding scenery tremble.
The black dragon bore many scars; some scales had even fallen off in places, but these details did not make the black giant dragon appear aged or weak. On the contrary, they added a savage aura.
The black dragon raised its head slightly, its metallic black scales reflecting a cold glimmer in the dim light, and its sharp dual pupils glowed like crimson flames, slowly scanning the surroundings.
Antipa admitted that it was the first time he felt scared in his magical career; even when he was chased by human steel monsters, he had never directly felt such a threat.
When he learned that a dragon would descend, Antipa had already mentally prepared himself. However, when the black giant dragon truly appeared before him, Antipa felt just how terrifying this dragon was.
According to Altan’s description, this group of dragons once intervened in the war between the Avar Kingdom and the Old Empire in the most brutal way, dissatisfied with the regulations drafted by the Tower and the Dragon Clan, leading to a civil war with the clans that supported Tower’s rules.
Unfortunately, they were eventually suppressed by their kin and the Tower, and had to leave across the ocean, heading to the Solun Continent for recuperation.
On the Solun Continent, this group of dragons faithfully played the role of evil dragons, either sleeping or plundering surrounding wealth. Although nominally allies of the Avar Kingdom, these dragons never directly helped the Avar Kingdom and even unintentionally incited wars on the Solun Continent.
The Avar Kingdom heavily relied on the presence of dragons behind this continent. In other words, Eryx was one of the sponsors of the Avar Kingdom—one of the sponsoring dragons.
Compared to the dragons that honestly lived quietly on this continent, occasionally greedy for small riches, these ousted dragons were even more brutal and cherished strength. The only commonality they shared was probably a liking for shiny things.
The breath of the dragon made Antipa feel a sudden rise in temperature around him, causing him to involuntarily step back, and the demons behind him were even more fearful.
This black giant dragon transformed amidst flames that seemed to devour everything, becoming an elderly figure dressed in a black coat. However, the oppressive aura from this elder did not feel any lighter to Antipa.
“You were the ones who first activated the Supremacy Magic?”
Eryx’s gaze pierced through all the demons present like a blade.
“Indeed… indeed.”
In the end, Antipa stepped forward and answered Eryx’s question.
“Hahaha! Good, good! Use more of it! I’ve brought some Supremacy Magic mages with me; go ahead and use Supremacy Magic like mad, and turn this continent upside down!”
The entire Demon Clan’s encampment echoed with Eryx’s boisterous laughter.
Antipa, however, hesitantly asked, “My lord, we have already received warnings from the Tower; we cannot use Supremacy Magic anymore. If we do, the Tower will attack us.”
“Hah, you are timid. Your ancestors of the Demon Clan were much bolder than you.”
Eryx scanned the demons around him, all of whom seemed wilted like frostbitten eggplants after being chased into the Black Fog by the iron monsters from the Northern Border.
“Back then, my kin betrayed me; they signed those contracts with the Tower without my approval. They were corrupted by the Tower, betraying their own fangs and claws, trying to imprison their own kin in cold shackles. My wrath has never extinguished; I will lead my kin back to this sky!”
Eryx shouted, slightly out of control with emotion. After letting it out, he said to the demons, “As for you, do you wish to be destroyed by me before seeking protection from the Tower, or would you prefer to tear down this Tower with me and turn it to dust?”
Upon hearing this, Antipa immediately stood up and said, “The Tower has always constrained us; we have long been dissatisfied with the Tower!”
Since coming to the Magic Clan, it had always been others who inferred his thoughts to speak, but it was the first time for Antipa to infer others’ thoughts, yet it seemed he had a talent for it.
“Good, good,”
Eryx nodded with satisfaction, saying, “The Tower treats the spirits of this continent like sheep to be tamed. The sight of skin torn and blood flowing is the way this continent should be.”
“I have already contacted those high-level professionals. The Tower cannot fully control them. As long as we can destroy the order established by the Tower, once the Tower’s rules collapse, those professionals suppressed by the Tower will become the seeds of war, igniting this continent!”
“At that time, even if the Avar Kingdom no longer intervenes, those small kingdoms that master Supremacy Magic and the released high-level professionals will become a furnace of blood and fire, remaking this world!”
Eryx’s speech left Monroe, who followed Antipa, drenched in sweat. Toppling the Tower was something unimaginable.
Antipa also raised a question: “But the Tower has many high-level professionals assisting it, including numerous top-tier ninth-level professionals. And won’t those professionals become even stronger without constraints?”
This was also Antipa’s greatest concern. The strength of the Demon Clan partly relied on the rules of the Tower; once those ninth-level monsters were released, the advantage of the Demon Clan’s bloodline magic would be leveled by those human monsters.
The ninth-level professionals could not defeat the giant dragon before them, so naturally, this dragon was not worried. However, Antipa was different. What benefits would this bring to the Demon Clan?
“Hah.”
Eryx showed disdain and said, “You need not worry about that. Once those tamed sheep are thrown into the wild, they will turn into hungry wolves. Even your Demon Clan won’t need to lift a finger; those humans will fight among themselves.”
After speaking, Eryx glanced at the human nobles behind Antipa: “Don’t you have a perfect example right next to you?”
Indeed, humans were either in-fighting or on the cusp of in-fighting. However, Antipa remained very worried and asked, “But my lord, how will the Tower be dealt with?”
