Marrying the Villainess Noblewoman at the Start – Chapter 335

Myron honestly did not want to take action against this group of Lars Knights. Their recent encounter with Cape was reliant on the power of worldly kings, and he just wanted to take a break and enjoy the latter half of his life.

“Knights, Sidney was indeed a bit reckless, but there’s absolutely no need for us to resort to violence,” Myron said, shrugging his shoulders.

“Although your equipment looks very luxurious, believe me, in front of high-level professionals, you still don’t stand a chance,” he continued, indicating his status.

“Trust me, if violence breaks out, your governor will not forgive you.”

But Hammond remained unfazed, saying, “No, even if the Lord Governor is present, he will surely support us. Please bring the materials and apologize.”

Upon hearing this, Sidney burst out laughing, saying, “You Lars Knights really don’t think your governor will deliver justice for you, do you? Your governor is just like any other king.”

With that, lightning erupted from Sidney’s hand, and a blade made of lightning shimmered brilliantly in his grip.

Seeing this lightning blade, Hammond’s eyes sparkled. But just as he was about to say something, Sidney had already turned into a bolt of lightning and appeared in front of Hammond.

“Thunderbolt!”

Sidney’s actions reached Hammond before the sound did, and the lightning blade swiftly stabbed towards Hammond.

“High-level magic, kid!”

Sidney’s tone carried a hint of pride as he looked up at Hammond, who was wearing a massive Powered Armor, while Hammond looked down at Sidney.

“Anti-magic coating, kid.”

The helmet of the Powered Armor was not large compared to the entire set of armor, but the eye section of the helmet had started emitting a red glow without him noticing, causing Sidney to feel an unprecedented sense of pressure.

Sidney only saw the arms of the Powered Armor starting to move; the massive gauntlets appeared quite heavy, yet the movements were so fast that Sidney couldn’t catch them.

In an instant, the earth cracked, and stones flew in all directions. Hammond stood above Sidney, and the enchanted patterns on the Powered Armor emitted tiny flickering lights, causing the entire armor to quiver slightly, as if the surrounding air was vibrating in sync with the frequency of the Powered Armor.

“You can insult me, but you cannot insult our governor!”

Hammond’s cold red goggles were fixed intently on Sidney, while lightning flickered around Sidney. A shield woven from lightning blocked most of the massive attacks, but the impact just now still left Sidney shaken. Was this really an ordinary low to mid-level professional?

Just as Hammond was about to act, Myron had already started moving. However, he quickly realized that his eighth-level knight mobility couldn’t keep up with this massive figure’s movements; Hammond’s actions had no technique behind them, purely relying on brute strength.

As Myron began to move, the Lars Knights around Hammond also started to move. When Myron activated his knight’s stance and charged towards one of the Lars Knights, he found that the opponent did not get blasted away but remained grounded thanks to the massive armor. Although Myron pushed him back over ten steps, he still stood firm.

The first reaction Myron had was that something felt off. As more and more Lars Knights gathered behind him, they formed a battle formation and began to maneuver around Myron.

When Myron undertook tasks for the tower as an external member, he hardly used any special combat techniques, purely relying on the strength of an eighth-level knight to push through.

And now, Myron also experienced what pure strength meant.

The knight’s shield flickered around him, continually vibrating under the impact from the Lars Knights. For a moment, Myron wondered if he had left the tower in the wrong way; was this really Cape?

The surrounding populace began to flee as they saw the two sides clash. After witnessing the civilians fleeing, Myron noticed that the white massive armor of the Lars Knights had begun to turn crimson. These Lars Knights seemed to enter some kind of state, not only increasing their impact but also tripling their speed.

As Myron’s knight stance collided with the Lars Knights’ massive armor, the entire area seemed to shake as if the world were collapsing. Debris and dust swirled through the air, and amidst it all, the red goggles of the Powered Armor became particularly conspicuous.

“Crack.”

Myron heard a strange sound; although he considered himself not out of touch, he was not familiar with the sounds of a firearm being chambered and the safety being released.

Quickly, Myron saw rays of fire flying through the air.

….

In the royal capital, Marcel had just finished his work and returned to his residence to have a good rest.

The entire structure of nobility in the royal capital had undergone a significant upheaval, as the Northern Border Governor had violently eliminated all opponents in a literal sense.

As it stood, no one had stepped forward to resist; the opposition was not merely against the governor but lacked even those who would stand up to condemn him. After all, besides holding absolute power, the nobility also had no reasonable standing.

The aftermath of Claire’s coup was still unfolding.

Thus, the nobles of the royal capital were all tucking their tails between their legs, obediently adhering to the reforms proposed by the Northern Border Governor regarding nobility and land.

Although most nobles complained bitterly, Marcel had already begun to make preparations. He didn’t seek excessive compensation from the Northern Border Governor but instead donated most of the wealth of his family, only requesting that some of his offspring be sent to study in schools in the Northern Border.

Marcel himself diligently assisted Lind in the work at the royal capital.

The pressure from the taxation law weighed heavily on most nobles, and many were eliminated in the fierce competition. However, this posed little threat to a former leader of the Old Party. Marcel’s capabilities extended beyond mere connections.

Under Marcel’s arrangement, extensive railroads and concrete roads surrounding the royal capital had begun to be laid out, and soon Marcel would become an indispensable part of the new kingdom.

However, just as Marcel took off his coat and prepared to rest, the steward suddenly approached and quietly whispered in Marcel’s ear, “My lord, some former members of the Old Party have contacted you, and they are waiting for you now.”

Marcel raised an eyebrow and asked, “Where are they?”

“They say it’s urgent and want you to go to the former meeting place of the Old Party.”

Marcel snorted coldly and said, “There’s no such thing as the Old Party anymore; what do they have to convene for?”

Though he spoke mockingly, Marcel put on his coat again.

In truth, Marcel did not wish to attend any ridiculous meeting, for who knows what trouble those guys could stir up if he didn’t go.
