39. Notification to Parents
Lying on the sofa, Evelyn, who was originally uninterested in the conversation between the two, was instantly jolted awake by those words, nearly rolling off the couch.
“What? Me?!”
Evelyn looked incredulously at the Night Watchman standing in the doorway, feeling her heart racing.
“Are you talking about… the demon from the urban legend?”
Emilia was also surprised by this; how could the Night Watchman suddenly mention Evelyn? Could it be that the Night Watchmen suspected Evelyn was the real culprit behind it all?

Honestly, this was the first time Evelyn had heard the Night Watchman’s evaluation of her, and it made her feel somewhat touched. However, she also had some doubts about why Emilia would actively bring up topics related to her and even speak for her.
