Book Launch Speech
This is my first time writing a book launch speech, and my feelings at this moment… are really hard to express with words.
However, before I begin, I would like to first thank the readers who have accompanied me up to this point. Without your support, it would have been difficult for me to reach where I am today.
Next, I’d like to thank my editor, Xi Zhu, for your companionship and encouragement along the way.
Also, I want to acknowledge my fellow authors in the group… @Late Spring Still, who was the first to show concern for my new book and helped promote it right when I released it. I am truly grateful!!!
To be honest, although I have had experiences with two previous books before this one, all of them ended up being failures. I have tried to reflect on my own issues and found that every time I tried to handle the emotional arcs of the two female leads… there would be various missteps, especially with the last book, Original Sin Witch, where the second volume’s female lead completely fell off the radar for nearly an entire volume… Therefore, in this volume, I attempted to accelerate the emotional progress between Evelyn and Emilia… but as you can see, I still couldn’t manage it well; the pace was indeed a bit too fast…
I also tried to remedy this, which led to the emergence of the second theme in the second volume aside from the Church—“The Romantic Mind Games of Two Tsundere Characters”.
As an author, I actually have quite a lack of confidence in my writing skills… I am well aware of how immature my writing is, so I often take the time to read more works by other authors, hoping to learn from their strengths.
Some readers have expressed concern about whether this book will turn out to be a “cut” issue… umm, there’s no need to worry about this. The reason I have cut in the past has always been because the story felt somewhat broken, but this book’s performance has already far surpassed that of my previous two, so it won’t be so easy to dismiss.
Regarding the length of the novel, there’s no need for concern either. To be honest, the outlines I create when starting a book are sufficient to support a story of over a million words. The plot is definitely meant to be lengthy.
As for my tendency to ramble… sob, I know I ramble, but sometimes when I get excited while writing, I really can’t stop (laughs). There are many instances where I intended to finish a chapter but ended up dragging it into nearly two chapters ╥﹏╥. I can only ask for your understanding, dear readers, and I will try my best to rectify this issue… along with my writing style.
To me, every character I write is like my own daughter, and I really hope they can achieve a happy ending, including the protagonists of the two books I have cut. As I mentioned when I cut those two books, I do intend to reset them, and I have even rewritten the outline for the story of Xu Yue… However, I will leave those discussions for after this book concludes successfully.
Well, that’s it. Thank you once again for all your support, and I hope this book can gain the recognition of more readers. Please… let’s work hard together!
