People passed by; numerous individuals moved about, some carrying assignments, others bringing tea to the teachers, and several teachers chatting merrily. They glanced at Sumu as they walked by, but their footsteps showed no sign of stopping.
The heating system gurgled in the pipes, it was warm enough in the office to take off a jacket.
But Sumu instinctively wrapped herself tighter in her clothes.
