173 I Am Not Thirsty
“It itches.”
Little Bai Li’s toes curled slightly.
Perhaps it was because Jiang Huai’s fingertips inadvertently brushed against the sole of her foot, causing the girl’s snow-white and tender little feet to bend slightly, yet she didn’t withdraw them; instead, she nestled closer into his embrace.
Perhaps this made her feel a bit more at ease.
“Who are you going to sleep with tonight?” Bai Li raised her head slightly to look at her.
“Didn’t the two of them just say at the dinner table that they’d sleep together? It has nothing to do with me. I’ll sleep alone,” she replied.
“Are you not going to sneak in quietly?”
“What if I can’t manage it?” Jiang Huai smiled helplessly, blinking at Bai Li in front of him. “Why are you suddenly asking this?”
“Nothing.” Bai Li turned her face away, not saying anything to put him in a difficult position.
His future wife and another woman with whom he had a vague relationship were both aboard the Spirit Boat at this moment, so she couldn’t possibly suggest that they sleep together. If it had been in the past, perhaps she wouldn’t have been so shy; she would have simply dived into Jiang Huai’s arms and fallen asleep, carefree and without worries, always assured that Jiang Huai was by her side.
“You’ve had quite a bit to drink. Shouldn’t you sleep early? I can tell you a story.”
“I’ve heard all your stories before.”
“I have new ones.”
“Then let me hear them.”
Bai Li finally retracted her white and tender little feet and walked back to the bedside. She removed the qipao she was wearing, revealing a snow-white and tender body clad in a little outfit adorned with white lace. Jiang Huai had given her this before, and she really loved the touch of the underwear—light, soft, and smooth.
However, Jiang Huai’s gaze didn’t waver; he quietly observed her. Bai Li, who had been gently swinging her slender legs while sitting on the edge of the bed, suddenly felt a bit shy. She attempted to wrap her arms around her chest to cover the white and tender skin exposed by the lace, but after a moment, she tilted her head to look at Jiang Huai. “Do you want to see a little more?”
“What if I get too excited from seeing more?”
“Didn’t you used to be perfectly fine?”
“That was in the past; this is the present.” Jiang Huai walked over to the bed, but Bai Li’s body began to change quietly. In the blink of an eye, she transformed from the petite Little Bai Li into the Holy Dragon Lady, the grand Bai Li. Her originally slender and snow-white legs became especially long, and her chest also seemed to undergo some changes, as if the lingerie could no longer contain her, the strings almost threatening to snap.
“Once we return to the Snake Clan, I’ll have to show myself like this.”
“Hmm? Why?”
“The demon clan’s transformation is based on cultivation level. Now that I’ve reached the Divine Transformation stage, appearing in my previous childlike form would be quite childish and embarrassing.”
“I see…”
Jiang Huai nodded thoughtfully, but Bai Li had already turned her back to him and said, “It’s uncomfortable and tight. Can you help me take it off?”
Jiang Huai reached out to untie the straps on her back. Bai Li looked back at him, her eyes showing a hint of surprise. “You can do that with one hand?”
Jiang Xiaohu felt a bit embarrassed. “You get used to it.”
During the days he spent with Wen Wanwan, he had found many cute pieces of lingerie for her and trained himself to unclasp and dress her with one hand.
“Impressive.” One of Bai Li’s hands lightly hugged her chest, but how could her slender arm fully cover everything? This pose, reminiscent of someone shyly playing the lute, only increased the seductive tension, contrasting sharply with her inexplicably pure and perfect cheeks.
With one hand, she lifted the quilt and shifted her body, slipping completely under the covers, leaving only her snow-white neck and head exposed. Jiang Huai sat on the edge of the bed. “Let me tell you a story about the White Snake…”
Bai Li had already drunk a fair amount and felt slightly tipsy. As she listened to Jiang Huai’s story, her eyelids gradually grew heavy.
She enjoyed listening to Jiang Huai’s stories, not necessarily because they were all that interesting, but because having him by her side made her feel especially secure, allowing her to sleep deeply. Gradually, her eyes closed, and Jiang Huai’s storytelling voice softened as he tentatively asked, “Are you asleep?”
“Almost… Xu Xian is so annoying…”
“I think so too.” Jiang Huai nodded gently; he didn’t like Xu Xian from the Legend of the White Snake either.
“Are you going to leave?”
“I’ll wait until you fall asleep before I leave.”
Bai Li suddenly opened her eyes. “What if I can’t fall asleep?”
“Then I’ll keep you company until you do,” Jiang Huai said, helplessly looking at her.
Bai Li kicked the quilt gently, and her slender calves peeked out from beneath the covers. She blinked at Jiang Huai, her voice already betraying her drowsiness. “Can you just pinch me a bit more?”
That tone sounded almost spoiled.
After her transformation, her voice had changed from the soft tone of a young girl to that of an alluring woman, creating an interesting contrast. Jiang Huai looked at her exposed snow-white feet, and compared to her girl-like form, they seemed even more elongated now that she had transformed into the Dragon Lady. What remained unchanged, however, was their warm, porcelain-white appearance, glistening like freshly steamed rice cakes.
He reached out and gently pinched her foot. Bai Li watched his profile and said playfully, “So admit it, do you like girls’ little feet?”
“Yes, yes, yes.”
Jiang Xiaohu realized he couldn’t deny it any longer and simply nodded. Bai Li let out a soft hum. “I knew it! So you also like watching girls wear different kinds of stockings… and then model them?”
“Hmm? You figured that out too?”
“Hmm-hmm! I’ve guessed all your little thoughts.” Bai Li seemed in particularly good spirits as she said, “It’s all written in the Floating Clouds Flowery Records. Did you also have Qingyu serve you with her feet? And that Wen Wanwan Junior Sister…”
“Hey, hey, asking about that is a bit rude.”
“Hmm? I thought your thick skin had truly become unbreakable.” Bai Li’s small feet swung happily as she laughed in the quilt, shaking with mirth. After a while, she suddenly said, “Did you know? After they grow up, the demon clan members who transform into human forms have an ability that your human clan doesn’t possess.”
“What?” Jiang Huai asked, curious.
“Humans need to be pregnant to produce milk, but after the demon clan transforms, they can just think about it…”
Jiang Huai’s eye twitched slightly. He was about to say that snakes are clearly oviparous creatures, which didn’t make sense, but then he thought about how this was a fantasy cultivation world, where logic might not apply.
“Is that so?” Jiang Huai could only express his astonishment.
“It’s a rule established by the Myriad Demon Emperor after achieving the Tenth Realm in ancient times. From that point on, demon births were considered half-demons, and they use the human form while cultivating, allowing them to utilize human Daoist magic. Their milk is as sweet as that of humans, and colostrum can significantly enhance the child’s physical quality.”
Wait a minute, Jiang Huai suddenly thought of something.
The sixth level of his Overlord Art required, among other materials, the colostrum of a demon clan member above the Seventh Realm, referring specifically to the milk secreted during their initial transformations after coming of age. Furthermore, the individual must be a pure maiden who hasn’t been with a man, or else the essence would be tainted. When he had casually glanced at the Overlord Art, he had wondered whether it was a bit unreasonable; after all, where would the milk come from without pregnancy? Now, hearing Bai Li’s explanation, he finally understood.
“Do you want to try?” Bai Li blinked playfully, smiling brightly.
It seemed she wanted to challenge Jiang Huai’s sense of shame; seeing this guy blush and flustered was particularly entertaining. After all, he usually appeared calm and collected as if he had everything under control, so it was amusing to see him all embarrassed.
“Remember your words.” Jiang Huai lightly pinched Bai Li’s small foot. “Good brother, my Overlord Art’s sixth level needs the colostrum from a cultivator above the Seventh Realm. Can you hurry up and reach the Seventh Realm so I can have a sip?”
Jiang Huai looked at Bai Li innocently and playfully. This time, though, Bai Li’s cheeks flushed red, and she instinctively wanted to bury her head under the covers.
Jiang Huai knew she was simply teasing him; his thick skin was now fully developed, far from the timid Jiang Xiaohu of the past.
Jiang Huai’s sudden comeback ignited Bai Li’s competitive spirit. She opened her eyes wide, gripping the quilt. “What about the previous few times? Shouldn’t they count? So do you want to… try a sip first?”
Jiang Huai clearly saw her face nearly turning crimson, yet she still insisted on playing hard to get, making him laugh even harder. “Sure, sure, bring it on!”
She was getting angry!
Perhaps due to the alcohol, Bai Li suddenly felt heat rise in her forehead. Moments later, a switch inside her body was activated. In an instant, she sat up, leaned against the bed, yet still clutched the quilt tightly, staring fixedly at Jiang Huai. “Come on then?”
Jiang Huai saw the seriousness in her gaze and felt a sense of dread. He hurriedly reached out to press down on her shoulder and made sure her quilt was snug. “I was just joking… don’t take it seriously.”
“I’m serious.”
“Well, it’s not appropriate to be serious about that… it’s too weird…”
“But I’m already prepared.” Bai Li bit her lip lightly, cupping Jiang Huai’s face with her hands, and stared at him intently. “Right now, it’s very full.”
“Full? So fast?!” Jiang Xiaohu stuttered, feeling dizzy in an instant. “N-no, I can’t…”
“Coward.” Bai Li lightly huffed, appearing in a good mood. However, a moment later, her head lowered slightly, her cheeks still glowing red. She let go of Jiang Huai’s face and gently poked his chest. “But… it’s really full now.”
“What what what should I do?”
“Just squeeze it a bit… it should… be fine…” Bai Li mumbled, then lifted her little face. “Why are you staring at me? Do you want to see me…”
Jiang Xiaohu obediently turned his back, but strange images began to surface in his mind at that moment, and the system in his ear started to ding.
