Chapter of 52: Why?
The next day.
When Jiang Huai woke up, he felt a slight tickling sensation on his cheek.
He opened his eyes.
Luo Yueguan, wearing a dignified and elegant purple dress that reached her chest, was sitting by his bed, her slender jade hands gently caressing his face. Jiang Huai sat up almost instantly, his head feeling fuzzy, a consequence of soul exhaustion.
“You’re awake,” Luo Yueguan turned her face away, not meeting his eyes.
“How are you feeling, Sect Master Luo?” Jiang Huai immediately asked softly.
“Much better.”
“Give me your hand.”
Luo Yueguan hesitated for a moment, then offered her fair and white wrist to him. Jiang Huai reached out, gently placing his hand on her wrist to take her pulse.
Last night, he had killed all the Cold Vein Poison Spirits in Luo Yueguan’s thirteen acupoints. Some of these acupoints were already blocked, and he had opened them as well. Thus, with just two more acupuncture sessions, seventy percent of her cold toxin could be resolved. It wouldn’t be a complete cure, but at least she wouldn’t suffer from the cold toxin anymore.
Jiang Huai reached for his Storage Ring and took out a jade box. The moment the box opened, a pill fragrance filled the air, and Luo Yueguan’s eyes widened.
This pill was the one Jiang Huai had given her before.
“You…” Luo Yueguan turned her head, staring at him with wide eyes.
Jiang Huai scratched his head awkwardly, feeling guilty. “This… when refining pills, I must have made two at once. I was thinking of solving your Ice Soul Profound Body at the same time, but you were arguing with your Master that day… so I thought I’d give it to you later… Just consider it me being childish and sulking… Don’t be angry, okay?”
Since it was the medicinal ingredients to heal the Ice Soul Profound Body, Jiang Huai had naturally collected two portions back then, hoping to heal Luo Yueguan as well. After all, he had known Luo Yueguan for so many years. If nothing else, it was to repay the debt from when he used to bury his face in her chest when he was a child.
He had never disliked Luo Yueguan, at most he just thought she was silly at teaching children.
“Don’t eat this pill for now. Wait until I’ve cleared all the cold toxin from your acupoints before taking it. Clearing the cold toxin is the fundamental solution to so many years of suffering. This pill is to improve your profound meridians and prevent the accumulation of cold toxin,” Jiang Huai explained the medicinal principles to Luo Yueguan seriously, then added, “Two more acupuncture sessions will resolve seventy percent of the cold toxin in your body. We can do it tonight and tomorrow night. I’ll be leaving the morning after tomorrow. I’ll find a way to deal with the remaining cold toxin later. Don’t worry, there’s always a way.”
As Jiang Huai spoke, he stood up from the bed. However, after taking just two steps, he realized Luo Yueguan was still clutching the pill, sitting stunned in her original position. He asked in confusion, “What’s wrong?”
“You don’t hate me?” Luo Yueguan looked up at him, her eyes full of confusion.
“What do I hate you for?” Jiang Huai asked with a helpless laugh. “For biting me last night?”
Luo Yueguan froze, then suddenly recalled what she had done last night. Her alcohol tolerance had always been poor. After a brief moment of inexplicable anger, she had bitten Jiang Huai’s face.
Recalling it now, she suddenly realized, and her cheeks instantly burned red.
“Do you want me to bite you back?” Luo Yueguan suddenly smiled, the confusion in her eyes melting away, replaced by a bright and enchanting demeanor.
“Hmph, you’re just taking advantage of the fact that I wouldn’t dare,” Jiang Huai looked at her with a hint of playful accusation. “Alright, come and have breakfast. I’ll go make spicy soup, you’ll definitely like it.”
Saying so, Jiang Huai walked towards the kitchen.

Luo Qingyu, her stomach full, held Jiang Huai’s hand and went for a stroll in the sect.
After attending the gathering on Purple Garden Mountain yesterday, Jiang Huai could clearly sense that he had become quite famous in Qingxuan Sect. Many disciples, upon seeing the two of them, couldn’t help but stop and whisper amongst themselves. Luo Qingyu gripped his hand tightly.
The disciples in Qingxuan Sect didn’t all cultivate so diligently. Jiang Huai also encountered their Senior Brother teaching ordinary disciples sword practice. Jiang Huai and Luo Qingyu found a spot and sat obediently in the corner to listen.
The main reason was to find a good spot to sunbathe.
The Senior Brother who was teaching swordsmanship saw Luo Qingyu sitting in the audience, listening so intently, and felt a bit embarrassed. After all, Luo Qingyu’s sword techniques were unrivaled within Qingxuan Sect.
“Why don’t Senior Disciple Sister Qingyu demonstrate for us?” the Senior Brother on stage tentatively asked.
Luo Qingyu shook her head, “No.”
Jiang Huai reached out and pinched her little cheek. “Shall we teach them together?”
Luo Qingyu nodded obediently, so Jiang Huai led Luo Qingyu to the stage. Luo Qingyu held her Spirit Sword and sparred with Jiang Huai, practicing the Qingxuan Sword Technique. Jiang Huai had, of course, practiced swords with Luo Qingyu before, and he knew the Qingxuan Sword Technique used by Qingxuan Sect.
Even if he didn’t know much more, it was enough to teach the disciples below. After half an hour, the disciples below benefited greatly, all thanking Senior Disciple Sister Qingyu. Luo Qingyu’s eyes were a little dazed. She didn’t care about these things; as long as she could be with Jiang Huai, everything was fine.
As it approached noon, she happily returned to the courtyard with Jiang Huai. Jiang Huai went to the kitchen to cook, and she tasted the food on the side, finishing two duck wings, one chicken leg, and three large shrimp.
In the afternoon, Jiang Huai took her boating on the Qingxuan Lake in Qingxuan Sect. White clouds drifted leisurely, and willows swayed gently. Their small boat moved with the wind on the lake, and Luo Qingyu nestled in Jiang Huai’s arms, basking lazily in the sun.
Back in the courtyard, the three of them had dinner together. Luo Qingyu went to bathe. After her bath, the girl, dressed in a black bathrobe, sat opposite Jiang Huai, her watery eyes gazing at him, lifting her slender, fair legs.
“I want you to pinch my feet again,” Luo Qingyu said to Jiang Huai with a slightly aggrieved look.
Jiang Huai Gege hadn’t pinched her little feet for several days.
Jiang Huai, with a helpless laugh, reached out and placed Luo Qingyu’s fair and tender leg on his lap. His fingertips gently grasped her snow-white, tender little foot. Luo Qingyu’s eyes instantly filled with satisfaction, and a blush gradually spread across her snow-white face.
After pinching her feet for a while, when Jiang Huai released her, Luo Qingyu’s eyes were still full of reluctance. But Jiang Huai had already spoken, “Alright, let’s go to your room and sleep? Your mother and I have a few things to do.”
“What do you need to do?” Luo Qingyu’s cheeks puffed out slightly.
“I need to warm your mother’s cold meridians. Be good, it will be done soon, and she’ll come to sleep with you later.”
Luo Qingyu still obediently stood up and went back to her room. Luo Yueguan had just gone to bathe. Jiang Huai intended to wait for her to return from her bath, but then he heard her voice transmission, “Come to the backyard bathhouse.”
Jiang Huai hesitated for a few seconds, then stood up and went to the backyard bathhouse.
***
Peach blossoms floated on the bath, ripples disturbed the water’s surface, and mist loomed.
The light of the Firefly Stones fell on her porcelain white body. She was immersed in the water, wearing only a tight-fitting purple undergarment. The undergarment couldn’t even fully cover her snow-white buttocks, and her slender, fair legs gently swayed beneath the water.
Jiang Huai suddenly thought of something. Strange, how did she know he had just coaxed Luo Qingyu to sleep?
“Can you hear what I’m saying to Luo Qingyu?”
“I can perceive everything related to Qingyu, including what she sees and hears.”
“Oh, no wonder.”
Jiang Huai’s mind inexplicably drifted to strange places. Did Luo Yueguan know about his pinching Luo Qingyu’s feet earlier? Curses, he was now in a stage where he couldn’t defend himself.
Wait, what about the time he spanked Luo Qingyu’s buttocks?
“This… it probably can’t perceive everything all the time, right?” Jiang Huai asked tentatively.
“I only see it when I want to see it.”
“That’s good.” Jiang Huai breathed a sigh of relief, but the next second, Luo Yueguan glanced at him sideways. “What do you mean?”
“It means nothing, hurry up and get out, I need to give you acupuncture.” Jiang Huai sat down on the steps by the bathhouse, and Luo Yueguan swam towards him. Her figure was like a swaying mermaid. The moment she emerged from the water, her purple undergarment clung tightly to her snow-white body, becoming slightly transparent.
Last night, there was only a faint moonlight, and Jiang Huai could concentrate his mind. But now, seeing her drenched clothes, Jiang Huai felt it was even more alluring than if she had taken them all off.
Fortunately, the acupuncture today was mainly on her back. Jiang Huai picked up a silver needle and went behind her, pouring the medicinal liquid onto her neck. He watched the liquid slowly trickle down her collar and said softly, “Spread it evenly.”
“You can spread it evenly for me.”
“I wouldn’t dare,” Jiang Huai replied righteously.
Luo Yueguan suddenly smiled. She couldn’t explain why she was laughing, but she just found it very amusing.
She glanced back inadvertently, “Aren’t I wasting a lot of the medicinal liquid by wearing clothes?”
“Let a little be wasted. I prepared a lot earlier, it should be enough.”
“What’s wrong with my acupoints?”
“I’ve also opened your blocked acupoints for you. Remember to keep it a secret. If this gets out, I’ll be in trouble. You should understand.” Jiang Huai said, trying to spread the medicinal liquid that had dripped onto her clothes. However, because the clothes were already damp, the liquid was significantly diluted, and he became somewhat troubled. He reached out and extinguished the lights from the Firefly Stones.
The bathhouse lights dimmed completely, leaving only the ethereal moonlight to fall on the water. Jiang Huai’s hand gently rested on her shoulder, slowly sliding her thin purple undergarment down to her waist.
Luo Yueguan’s porcelain white and smooth back was completely revealed to his eyes. He felt as if he had peeled open the shell of a lychee. Her waist was held straight, and he seemed to hear Luo Yueguan’s playful voice, “You don’t dare?”
“Sigh, you’re already this old, can you stop teasing me? In a healer’s eyes, even the most beautiful woman is just a fleeting illusion.”
Jiang Huai’s fingertips lightly tapped on Luo Yueguan’s smooth back, gradually reaching her waist. After confirming that all the medicinal liquid had been evenly spread, he said softly, “Alright, start circulating your spiritual energy to refine the medicinal liquid.”
Luo Yueguan bit her lip lightly, sensing the silver needles piercing her body one by one. There was a very slight pain as the needles entered her body, followed by a faint warmth. She couldn’t quite explain why, but she wished Jiang Huai’s movements could be slower, slow enough for her to slowly perceive the warmth that seemed to seep into her bones.
She couldn’t explain the reason, but the warmth made her unable to resist its allure, as if she was afraid it would disappear in the next moment.
Jiang Huai then inserted thirteen more silver needles. His vision began to darken again. After all, his soul power was too weak, and he found it difficult to withstand the exhaustion. His lips moved, “Alright, you can remove the needles in a while.”
Luo Yueguan looked back. Jiang Huai was covered in sweat, looking as if he was about to collapse.
“Why?” she suddenly murmured softly.
But Jiang Huai no longer had the strength to answer her. His vision went black, and he collapsed forward. Luo Yueguan gently embraced him. She reached out and gently cupped Jiang Huai’s face. After a moment of hesitation, she gently dragged Jiang Huai’s body into the clear bath, her fair jade hands gently resting on him, wiping his body.
