Chapter 18 The Robot Judgment
The Robot Kingdom’s judgment conference was considered a major event in the entire city.
This was because it was a trial to determine whether a robot’s actions violated the law, and the outcome of the verdict would affect the robots’ codes of conduct.
This particular judgment conference was especially noteworthy due to “human” participation.
Not only was the audience filled with robots who came to learn, but the courtroom footage was also synchronized to screens everywhere for other robots in different regions to communicate and learn.
“It’s so grand…”
Lonis had expected a small, insignificant court, but she never imagined it would be so magnificent. The entire trial was being held in the Grand Assembly Hall, which was about half the size of a football field. Corey was already seated in the foremost position, presiding over the meeting.
“Fellow robots, good noon. On behalf of Corey, I extend the most cordial greetings to all of you. Please forgive my slightly ceremonious address, because today… we have invited legendary humans to help us with the judgment.”
“Zzzt, zzzt!”
“Kira, kira (twinkle)~~”
The robots had a peculiar way of showing excitement. Since many robots did not have palms and their arms were specialized mechanical arms for work, they expressed their welcome by continuously rebooting their displays.
