Chapter 386: A Terrifying Scene
Little Fairy, Sister Molly, I’m afraid my life is really over. I hope you can be alright and escape from here safely. I’m counting on you.
The sky outside was already reaching noon. Although the light in the forest was somewhat dim, Lin Ye could still clearly see everything in front of him.
The monster gently placed him on the ground, clearly intending to keep him alive for its cub to enjoy. Lin Ye was plunged into extreme despair.
He had returned to the place where he had been attacked by monsters before, and he could clearly see a pool of blood left by a gorilla on the ground.
The monster mother stared with a pair of blood-red eyes like lanterns, fixated on Lin Ye, who lay motionless on the ground. Suddenly, she stealthily slid her snake-like, bizarre tail into the black hole.
She then reeled in the Little Fairy, Molly, and the stranger woman, placing them slowly beside Lin Ye.
With her little monster, she began circling them. She scrutinized the four living people, one man and three women, lying on the ground with her terrifying, ghostly eyes.
Lin Ye couldn’t bear to witness the horrifying scene before him. He wanted to struggle to his feet and find an opportunity to confront the monster, but his body was too weak, and he couldn’t muster any strength.
There was nothing he could do. With a sigh of resignation, he lay down, held the Little Fairy in his arms, and closed his eyes. However, his mind was still contemplating how he could lead the three beautiful women to escape from the monster’s clutches.
The Little Fairy, Molly, and the stranger woman were still unconscious and hadn’t woken up. It seemed they had fainted when they fell into the black hole earlier.
The two monsters, dragging their long tails, continued to circle them. Suddenly, the large monster tilted its head and let out a low growl at its cub.
The cub understood and immediately walked forward, bringing its frightening, fanged, green face close to Lin Ye. It extended its tongue, heavy with the smell of blood, and licked Lin Ye’s injured left arm.
Lin Ye felt the monster’s tongue was very rough, as if covered with barbs. Every lick made a strange hissing sound, which sounded incredibly terrifying. “Damn that dwarf! To stand by and do nothing in a critical moment, don’t expect me to call you Master again,” Lin Ye cursed the dwarf in his heart. Although his left arm was almost numb and he didn’t feel much, Lin Ye still felt an unprecedented terror. He turned his head to look and was so scared his whole body trembled. The monster’s cub was still licking the muscles on his left arm with its tongue.
His injured left arm had clearly split open, and a layer of skin had been licked away by the monster cub, revealing bloody, gruesome flesh. “Oh my god, is this how these monsters eat their prey?”
Lin Ye was horrified and tried desperately to get up. Unexpectedly, the monster cub was faster than him. Its tail slithered over like a snake, tightly wrapping around his legs, and its tongue once again moved towards his left arm.
This lick was brutal. A large chunk of muscle on Lin Ye’s left arm was almost licked away, exposing the bone chillingly.
Lin Ye could no longer hold back and shouted loudly.
This shout actually led to a turning point.
The monster cub paused for a moment, immediately released Lin Ye, and scurried back to its mother’s side.
The monster mother also seemed to sense something was wrong. The voice of this person sounded so resonant and deafening. After hesitating, just as she was about to pounce on Lin Ye again to attack, a strange pipa sound came from behind.
The sound was very sharp and piercing, something the monsters had never heard before. The monster mother was startled, turned her head to look in the direction of the sound, let out a low growl, and then, with her cub, darted away and disappeared in an instant.
“What’s going on? Where did a pipa sound come from in this primitive jungle! Could it be that the dwarf is trying to rescue us in a roundabout way?” Amidst his confusion, Lin Ye struggled to get up and looked around for any movement.
Soon, a person walked towards him. Upon closer inspection, it was Madam Xiao.
Madam Xiao was wearing that Blood Feather Garment, her graceful figure faintly visible. A treasure sword was slung across her back, and she held a chestnut-colored pipa in her arms. Her watery eyes, like flowing streams, looked at Lin Ye, with evident tears in her eyes.
Afterwards, a large gorilla appeared before Lin Ye. The gorilla’s body and face were covered in blood. It was the same gorilla that had been defeated by the monsters.
And this gorilla was actually Madam Xiao’s pet. Previously, the gorilla had been sent by Madam Xiao to find Lin Ye and the others. After the gorilla was defeated by the monsters, it had escaped and reported the situation to Madam Xiao. Thus, Madam Xiao, keeping it secret from everyone around her, had rushed over quickly.
“That was really close. If I had been a minute later, Lin Ye and the others would have lost their lives.”
Madam Xiao handed the pipa to the gorilla to hold, then bent down to examine the condition of the Little Fairy, Molly, and the stranger woman. Finding that the three of them were not seriously injured, she used her powers to wake them up one by one.
The Little Fairy, Molly, and the stranger woman looked at Madam Xiao and Lin Ye before them in surprise, their minds a complete blur, not understanding what was happening.
“You all rest well for a while. You’re fine. I’ll take you away from here later.”
Madam Xiao smiled at the three beauties. Then, she bent down and slowly held the somewhat weak Lin Ye in her arms. She reached into her pocket and took out a blue bottle.
She opened it and poured some vermilion medicinal powder from it. She gently applied it to Lin Ye’s injured left arm, chest, and injured thigh. Then, she slowly put Lin Ye down and used a pre-prepared strip of cloth to wrap his wound.
Afterward, she reached out and stroked Lin Ye’s almost bloodless face, saying, “Son, it is the heavens that allowed us to meet again, which means our destiny is not yet at an end. I will cherish this relationship very much. I swear, from now on, I will stay by your side, take care of you, and will never let you be bullied again.”
Lin Ye said, “(King Zhao’s) ‘I don’t want to hear you say these things to me right now. Mom, oh, no, Madam Xiao. Thank you for saving us. But I want to know, how did you know I came here?'”
Just as Madam Xiao was about to speak, the Little Fairy spoke before her, “Yes, Madam Xiao, how did you know we entered this forest? Were you sent to rescue us because of some scheme by Fei Bu Fan?” “Exactly, Madam Xiao. Little Fairy is right. Were you intentionally sent by Fei Bu Fan to save us? And… and those terrifying monsters, did Fei Bu Fan deliberately release them to scare us? Otherwise, why would they suddenly abandon us and run away when they saw you? Madam Xiao, can you give us a reasonable explanation?” Molly said as she woke up, rubbing her eyes.
“Explain what a load of crap! I’m telling you, Madam Xiao is Little Brother’s biological mother, it’s true.”
