The Divine Realm, created by Adam and Eva, exists in a dimension separate from the ground, sky, or even the sea on the planets, and the realms below cannot reach it. Conversely, the gods living in the Divine Realm cannot descend directly to the lower worlds without using golem-like bodies for their souls. This absolute separation was established by Eva, now called the “Main God” or “God of Creation,” as the natural order of this world.
“…So, the time has finally come.”
In the deepest part of the Divine Realm, a vast, crimson sky stretched endlessly, with a majestic throne placed alone at its center. Sitting on that throne was none other than the owner of the voice from earlier. The girl with long, beautiful purple hair seemed to be lost in thought with her eyes closed. Clothed in divine robes of white and gold, her ephemeral and fantastical appearance was like a work of art.
Her name is Eva, the aforementioned “Main God” and “God of Creation,” the pinnacle of the gods who rule this world. While possessing an otherworldly beauty, she also appears to be young. However, she is actually a progenitor god existing since the beginning of the universe, an anomaly to whom the concept of age does not apply.
“Excuse me. ‘God of Order,’ I have come as summoned.”
“…Likewise, ‘God of Space,’ I am here.”
“Thank you for waiting. ‘God of War,’ I have rushed here as ordered.”
Before Eva, without a sound, appeared the higher gods directly under her command. A small, beautiful boy with golden hair shining in the light, an individual who spoke in broken sentences wearing a grotesque mask, and a portly man in military uniform. Without exception, they knelt in mid-air, heads bowed.
“…I sensed the presence of Evil God Adams just now. That Evil God has already been revived.”
“!!!”
Faced with the shocking truth revealed by Eva, the three gods reacted in various ways. A slight twitch, involuntarily raising their faces, or trembling with an excessive reaction, each response was different.
“Is… is that true!?”
Next, the “God of War,” who had shown a particularly strong reaction, spoke. His voice was loud, yet it trembled.
“Yes, unfortunately, it is the truth. Someone within his prison seems to have broken the seal on the Evil God.”
“Wh-what was the Reincarnated Goddess, who was entrusted with managing that land, doing!? We must hold her accountable for her management responsibilities immediately…!”
“Calm down. While that is important, we have things to do first.”
“Things… to do…?”
“Of course, it is to vanquish our archenemy, Adams. He will likely be attacking this realm soon. ‘God of War,’ the front lines of defense are entrusted to you.”
“M-me, sir…!? B-but…”
For the “God of War,” who loved victory more than anyone, being given such a great responsibility was an extreme honor. However, that was only true on a realistic battlefield. Defeating that Evil God? It was impossible! If there was any chance of victory, it would only be through Eva’s absolute dominion…! He wanted to imply just that. The evil memories etched long ago were still a trauma for the “God of War.”
“Do not worry. Adams now inhabits a golem with his soul. In other words, he is no longer a god.”
“Eh? I-is that true? You mean Adams’s power has been reduced to the level of the lower worlds…?”
“Precisely. Golems are meant to bind and restrict the great powers of gods to prevent them from causing unnecessary influence on the lower worlds. As he is no longer a god, he has fallen outside the scope of my absolute dominion. However, there is no need to use it against a mere golem. …Do you understand my true intention? I am giving you a chance. A great opportunity to defeat the former Evil God with his golem-like output with your own hands.”
“Ooooh, oooooohhhhhh!”
A roar of emotion thundered. As a high-ranking god, his lung capacity was tremendous. The other two gods standing next to the “God of War,” and Eva herself, promptly covered their ears at that moment.
“…It seems you’re motivated. However, I understand your concern. Your opponent is Adams, and he is expected to be more formidable than a regular golem. Furthermore, his prison is unlike other worlds; it is a demonic realm where the upper limits of abilities have been removed. If you absolutely cannot do it, the ‘God of Space’ can take over for you—”
“—N-no, please give this important task to me! To me, whom you trust the most! I will surely achieve the great feat that no one has been able to accomplish through conventional means!”
The “God of War,” now speaking with snorts of determination, completely negating his previous timidity.
“Then, I will take my leave! Kuhuhu, forgive me, the two of you.”
He was no longer hesitant. The “God of War,” after boasting to the remaining two gods, left without wasting any more time.
“…Is it alright to leave it to him? I can see the defeat from here.”
After the “God of War” had completely departed, the “God of Space,” who had remained silent until then, sighed from behind his mask. The “God of Order” also shook his head with a weary expression.
“Do I need to explain again? No matter who goes, this battle is a losing one. Therefore, it is the wisest decision to wear out a disposable asset— Oh, dear. I haven’t activated the soundproofing yet.”
With that, Eva snapped her fingers. Instantly, the vast crimson sky vanished, and the scene shifted to a cramped room of about four and a half tatami mats. The room, which could hardly be described as organized and tidy, gave a frankly opposite impression to the previous mystical spectacle. In the center of the room, a worn-out kotatsu was placed, and the solemn throne had transformed into a cheap floor chair.
“—Alright, switching to isolation mode~. I’m going back to my true self~. I’m so tired~, acting all high and mighty isn’t easy~.”
“…”
Not only the scenery but Eva herself had changed. The divine robe she wore had been replaced with a casual outfit of a tracksuit and a happi coat, and her neatly arranged purple hair had become completely disheveled the moment she moved to this place, now a mess. Due to her naturally good looks, she was still incredibly cute, but there was not a shred of divinity about her. Her gestures, attitude, and tone were as she had just spoken—in other words, she was completely the resident of this room.
“Whoa~, a dim and narrow room is the best~. Staying in such a large space for so long would drive even a god crazy. Oh, I’m not giving you this mandarin orange, okay? It’s my precious source of nutrients! Kaaah, vitamins are seeping into this unhealthy body~.”
“…I don’t need it. More importantly, what do you plan to do now? And besides, do you really think this is a losing battle?”
“Hmm? Of course, it’s a 100% losing battle~? Even if it’s a golem, my opponent is Adams, who has the same talent as me, you know? Adams, who has the strongest talent and has dedicated his entire life to sickeningly extreme effort like a mad god~. No way, no way, I absolutely cannot deal with someone like that. He’ll probably see becoming no longer a god as an advantage, too. So— shall we run? To a new frontier, far beyond his reach~?”
“…Huh?”
