“Sooorry!”
“No, you both did well against stronger opponents. You can look forward to today’s staff meal.”
“Yay!”
Completely healed by Kelvin’s White Magic, Efil and Ryuka were already having their debriefing session in a corner of the training hall. While they had been defeated, Touya was actually in worse shape. Efil and Ryuka had been knocked out with blunt force, but Touya had suffered burns, and Ryuka’s hidden knife was deeply embedded in his arm.
“Gahh…!! Was that poisoned…? If it weren’t for the Light Fairy’s mitigating effect, I would have been in serious trouble…”
Furthermore, the knife had been coated in poison. The wound on his arm was starting to discolor.
“Ka- Kanzaki-kun, are you alright!? I’ll heal it with magic now!”
“I’m fine. I can heal this myself.”
As he said this with a bright, confident smile, Touya placed his hand on the wound and chanted “Great Recovery” and “Poison Purge.” When Touya removed his hand, his arm was completely healed with no trace of a scar, and the poison was gone. He then proceeded to heal the burns.
“I’m impressed. Aren’t you nearly twice as strong as you were before?”
Kelvin approached the four heroes with a satisfied smile. At the same time, Miyabi assumed a stance like a martial artist.
“—That means you acknowledge our strength, Master! Please accept me as your disciple!”
“You’re getting ahead of yourself. And stop with that handsome smile. It’s blinding.”
Kelvin was taken aback by Touya, who suddenly started glowing as he stepped forward. It seemed he wasn’t comfortable with that type of person.

Kelvin proposed, holding up four fingers on his right hand and his index finger on his left.
“Um… Four of those high-level maids, you mean…?”
“Touya can handle it. Do your best.”
“Yeah, leave it to me!”
“I- Is it okay, Kanzaki-kun?”
Setsuna looked conflicted, while Miyabi remained expressionless and encouraged him. If their Master said so! Touya was surprisingly motivated, but Nana looked worried.

A suffocating pressure erupted from the gaps in Gerard’s armor as he appeared behind Kelvin, clad in full gear: a demonic sword, a modified greatshield, and a cloak. He was fully prepared. “My battlefield is right before me,” one might think, but this was just speculation from within his helmet. The atmosphere was far from one of offering his chest to them.
“Kukuku…! You shall pay for injuring my grandson…!”
It wasn’t speculation after all. He intended to cleave through Colette’s Survivor’s Divine Realm.
“Gerard, that’s not it. I’m the one fighting.”
“Hmph, don’t stop me, King! I’ve found my second fated enemy!”
“Hello? I’m telling you to stop taking disciples!”

Kelvin and Gerard continued their fierce argument, making completely irrelevant points. Both of them were leaking their desires. It was a tense situation. Faced with this sudden development, the heroes could only watch in stunned silence.
“Hey, hey. Older Kel, Old Man Gerard.”
“What is it, Rion?”
“What is it, Rion?”
However, the moment Rion spoke, the two stopped their argument in unison. Their demeanor and expressions softened instantly. They were truly a brother-complex older brother and a doting grandfather. The heroes were so stunned by the dramatic change that they couldn’t move.

With teary eyes and an upward glance, Rion captivated them both, making them recoil. Immediately after, they gave a double “Okay” sign. Rion had successfully won the right to challenge the heroes. As for the fact that their opponent had become an incredibly cute young girl, the heroes—

“W-Whatever the case, if we win against her, we’ll be recognized by Master.”
They managed to regain their composure.

Rion extended her hand for a handshake with a friendly smile that charmed everyone. Although her attire was black, her smile shone as if from the heavens.

Nana took her hand. Nana, who had been flustered all day, couldn’t help but relax in Rion’s unique aura. The tension that had bound her body seemed to have completely disappeared. After shaking hands, Rion said, “I’ll go get ready~” and returned to Kelvin’s side.

Setsuna and Miyabi held their heads, confusion and distress spreading among them.

Snap[ing] back to reality at Kelvin’s shout, the heroes headed for their new battlefield. Gratefully to Rion for not having to fight the two menacing figures.
