Chapter 255: Mother Tyrant
Gray Mist Forest.
A giant beast resembling a blue whale, dragging its fins, pierced through layers of gray mist, its fins stirring ripples of water-blue that spread outward.
Inside the blue whale was a space of red mist and void.
Within the space, cross-section discs formed from streaks of red light condensed, like crimson chess pieces arranged in the void.
Over a thousand half-dragons, their bodies covered in ferocious scales, coiled their tails and lay prostrate on the disc-shaped chess pieces, their eyes closed in a dense slumber.
In the center of these sleeping half-dragon armies, about ten silhouettes were scattered across the disc-shaped chess pieces.
They were almost entirely covered in crimson legion armor, wearing cold, dark red masks.
At this moment, a gray-brown shadow emerged from the disc in the distance, twisting and rapidly solidifying into a bizarre paper-cutout figure.
It resembled a paper puppet from ancient shadow plays. The paper, in two colors of red and black, was pieced together to form an ancient-style robe, complete with an official hat and simple, stick-figure features.
Above the features, a droplet of water shimmering with brilliant golden light appeared between its eyebrows.
“The environment required for the birth of Origin Water needs extremely chaotic and extremely dangerous spacetime turbulence. In recent years, the White Egret Sea Area has deviated from high-risk standards.”
The paper cutout figure’s mouth, outlined by lines, seemed to move slightly as it spoke in a soft voice, “This is likely the last drop that can be condensed here.”
Among the dozen or so armored figures, one reached out and received the incoming Origin Water. He opened his crimson mask, revealing a face with the temperament of a noble young master, smiling gently.
This person was named Ye Li Beizhou, affiliated with the Holy Department of District 49.
He nodded and turned to look in the direction of the center.
At the very center, a cage flickering with lightning floated, and within the cage, a red-haired woman was suspended.
“Sister-in-law,” Ye Li Beizhou tossed the Origin Water into the cage, smiling, “Could you trouble yourself to bring this back to the legion?”
“Sister-in-law?” The paper cutout figure stared doubtfully at the red-haired woman in the martial arts uniform, “Is this Mr. Dong Jun’s wife? Dong Jun is married?”
The gentle man smiled faintly, “Messenger, you may not know, but ten years ago, my brother married Princess Freya. Unfortunately, as soon as she stepped out of the wedding carriage, before even entering the wedding hall, Princess Leya ran away. And she’s been running for ten years.”
Upon hearing this, the paper cutout figure let out a low laugh, “It seems Mr. Dong Jun’s marital relationship is not harmonious.”
Ye Li Beizhou glanced coldly at the paper cutout figure but said nothing. He simply looked at Freya and smiled:
“Sister-in-law, I assume you’re tired of being a teacher in District 51. It’s time to go home, isn’t it?”
“Heh~”
Freya’s gaze was calm as she let out a cold laugh, “Ye Li, are you imprisoning this King?”
The woman with wine-red long hair spoke with a hint of killing intent. Ye Li Beizhou was unfazed and continued to speak gently, “Please don’t misunderstand, sister-in-law. I just want to ensure you get home safely. After all, this place is far too dangerous, wouldn’t you agree?”
Although it was a question, Ye Li Beizhou directly activated the cage’s teleportation formation. Light surged beneath Freya’s feet.
“Sister-in-law, remember to keep the Origin Water safe. It’s very important.”
However, before he could finish speaking, the woman in the martial arts uniform directly crushed two Fire Obsidian stones. As crimson spiritual light merged into her chest, her ink-black pupils gradually narrowed, tinged with a dangerous red glow, showing signs of transforming into vertical pupils.
As her aura surged wildly, the teleportation formation beneath her feet showed signs of delay and stopped transmitting.
“Sister-in-law, why must you do this?”
Ye Li Beizhou’s eyes narrowed slightly, and he sighed, “Although you adapt perfectly to dragon blood, excessive activation can still lead to a berserk state, or even endanger your life.”
The woman’s wine-red long hair billowed backward. Her aura continued to climb. This was not spirit pressure, but a terrifying increase in a power known as dragon pressure, breaking through to level five dragon pressure and showing signs of evolving further.
Whoosh— As the terrifying pressure spread, her crimson pupils completely transformed into imposing vertical pupils! Freya’s gaze was indifferent as she swept over the group outside the cage.
Including Ye Li Beizhou, there were three Pu Wu level spirit masters and ten level four season envoys outside. The deployment of such a powerful lineup within the forbidden zone clearly indicated a very important mission. Furthermore, the strength of the paper cutout figure was difficult to ascertain.
However, she recognized the attire. They were servants of the Destruction Star God. Places where Destruction’s servants appeared were typically barren and known for their destructive capabilities.
It seemed their objective was to destroy a certain place.
“Messenger, could you lend a hand?”
Seeing that the formation was about to collapse, Ye Li Beizhou looked at the paper cutout figure.
The paper cutout figure smiled faintly and nodded. A purple light shot out from between its eyebrows, injecting into the formation. The nearly collapsing teleportation formation stabilized again, bursting with light.
Freya’s gaze deepened. In fact, being teleported away wouldn’t be particularly dangerous. But after ten years away from home, she didn’t want to return to deal with those troublesome matters, nor did she want to see her nominal husband.
Moreover, her future personal disciple was still within the forbidden zone; she had to find Xia Feng first!
As the thought arose, she indifferently raised her vertical pupils and crushed another Fire Obsidian stone in her hand!
The expressions of the dozen or so people outside the cage involuntarily changed.
“Freya, are you mad!” Ye Li Beizhou shouted angrily.
!
“Boom!!”
The words abruptly cut off as a crimson light erupted from the woman in the martial arts uniform, her wine-red hair like a reversed celestial waterfall. It whipped around the surging light flow, her aura skyrocketing. Demonic, alluring dragon scales extended from her temples to the corners of her eyes, her cold and beautiful small face becoming even more majestic.
Boom—
Boom————
Crimson ripples spread outward, each wave larger than the last. The cage confining the red-haired woman began to crack with crisp snapping sounds, and the teleportation formation beneath her feet completely collapsed and dispersed.
“Damn it!”
Ye Li Beizhou cursed inwardly, then quickly turned and asked, “How much longer until we reach White Emperor City?”
“Ten minutes,” a season envoy replied, his voice deep.
“Bang—”
A loud noise echoed. Ye Li Beizhou abruptly turned around, only to see that Freya’s eye sockets had been stained blood-red at some point, with only the cold vertical pupils vaguely visible in the center, filled with killing intent.
Ye Li Beizhou knew that she had completely lost her reason!
Freya was a perfect match for dragon blood, but excessive half-dragonization could also lead to loss of reason and a berserk state where she wouldn’t recognize anyone.
In this state, her eyes only saw slaughter. Only by killing enough lives would she gradually return to normal.
Currently, there was no other solution.
Bang bang bang!!
The woman’s cold and beautiful small face was indifferent. Gripping her saber, she was like a mother Tyrant, smashing the barrier repeatedly.
The others quickly dispersed and poured spirit particles into the formation to maintain its operation. Ye Li Beizhou sighed in relief.
With ten minutes left until they reached White Emperor City, the time was more than sufficient.
“Perhaps this is for the best. This madwoman can go and kill those remnant soldiers.”
All benefits regarding White Emperor City had already been obtained. Those foolish old soldiers were naturally no longer needed.
It was a perfect opportunity for his stubborn sister-in-law to participate in this matter by committing murder!
