I casually swung Arti towards Small World, instantly obliterating one of its arms. However, as one of the stars within Small World extinguished, its body immediately restored itself.
“I see. It can restore its body by consuming what’s within itself, made of magic power,” I mused.
“It possesses a number of stars within its body that would be too tedious to count, Master. Let’s keep the tempo up,” Saris said.
“Ah,” I replied.
I continued to swing Arti and Saris. With each slash, a part of Small World’s body would explode and regenerate. Meanwhile, Small World attempted to retaliate, unleashing its magic power and twisting the surrounding space towards us. However, it never reached us. Milk had seized control and was diverting it so it wouldn’t hit us. To Small World, it would appear as though we were subtly dodging and evading, maintaining a perfect position to prevent it from realizing the truth.
“…Tch! Rogil!”
“…”
“What are you spacing out for?! Are you content to leave everything to them?! This is your territory, isn’t it?!”
“…Yes, it is.”
“Exactly. You understand, don’t you? Ordinary attacks won’t damage it.”
“Yes.”
“Then you know what you must do. Stake your life.”
“…”
Rogil took a step forward and looked at us. Did he have some trump card?
“Master, are you really going through with this~?” Sophie asked.
“I’m sorry, Sophie. Teacher, would you do me the honor?”
“Yes, that’s fine. Let’s have Subnoq help as well,” the Teacher replied.
“Can you summon him?”
“Yes. I contacted him as soon as we arrived here.”
“Um. Wield your power to your heart’s content,” Rogil said.
Two figures appeared around Rogil: a girl and a monster. One was a masked individual with multiple heads, and the other was a gentleman with a lion’s head. No, that girl was also a monster.
“…Let’s go, Leviam.”
“Um. Show those alien monsters the strength of you, the summoner of this town.”
“Yes.”
At that moment, the four monsters around Rogil vanished, and Rogil’s body began to glow.
“I shall inscribe the ultimate here. My body is strong enough to dominate the vast ocean, my wings tear through the heavens and freely traverse the cosmos. My legs are sturdy, untiring even after an eternity on the earth. I rule the earth, the seas, and the heavens. I summon the ultimate life form here.”
Parts of Rogil’s body began to emerge around him. Were those parts of some monster? They folded and overlapped, forming one monster. I see. That was the pinnacle of summoning that Rogil had reached. Or perhaps, the pinnacle of partial summoning. By partially summoning the individual characteristics of monsters, he could create a pseudo-different monster. It was like fusion, or rather, like integration for us.
“This is the trump card of my power as the summoner of this town. Balhuth Dragon.”
Rogil’s body was then encased in the black armored body of a dragon. It seemed Rogil had control over that dragon. It was a forced integration, almost divine. Rogil was no ordinary being.
“Now, we will do this too,” Riose said.
“That again?” one of her companions asked.
“Of course,” Riose replied.
Saying this, Riose tossed bullets one by one to her companions. As they caught them, their companions imbued them with their magic power and threw them back to Riose.
“Here, one for Rogil,” Riose said.
Rogil caught the bullet Riose threw with his tail and tossed it back. Catching it, Riose loaded her rainbow-colored bullet and all the other bullets into her gun. She then placed her finger on the cylinder and spun it. As it spun, the magic power of the bullets merged, forming a single shot.
“Now, let us show the power of our legion!”
Riose aimed her gun towards the sky.
“Bestow eternal death upon all who disturb the peace! Descend, Ragnarok Bladrakon!”
Riose pulled the trigger and fired the bullet. A shining, silver dragon appeared in the air.
“Alright Rogil, let’s synchronize,” Riose said.
“Ah!”
“Okay, fireeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!”
Balhuth Dragon and Ragnarok Bladrakon unleashed black and white heat rays from their mouths, respectively. The heat rays merged in mid-air, forming a transparent lump of magic power. It flew directly towards Small World without hesitation. Upon impact, Small World exploded and disappeared, only to regenerate. Simultaneously, several stars within its body vanished.
“Whoa, that’s quite powerful,” I remarked.
“Ah, it seems its power is enough to reach creation. Even an ordinary person can do this,” Saris said.
“We can’t be outdone either, Master,” Sophie added.
“Indeed. Invincibility and destruction. We shall forge a single sword with these opposing powers,” I declared.
Arti and Saris were enveloped in light and merged, becoming a single sword.
“Illusionary Magic Crystal Sword Alistillsa.”
“Furthermore!!”
“Summon, Arterion!!!!”
Above us, a massive spaceship appeared. Arterion’s body emitted light, which extended towards Alistillsa.
“We shall now overlay the power of a ship that sees all the world onto the sword that has achieved illusion!”
“Dual Fusion Evolution!!!!”
“An unbound sword that transcends illusion. Unbound Magic Crystal Sword Alistillsa Genesis!!”
Arterion’s hull dissolved into light and fused with Alistillsa’s blade. The blade grew larger, and crystals made of magic power appeared all over it.
“Small World, we have analyzed all of you,” I said.
“Ready, Master,” Saris replied.
I raised the evolved Alistillsa. Its blade glowed, wreathed in smoke of pure light. This blade already contained enough magic power to annihilate Small World.
“…Farewell.”
I slashed Alistillsa towards Small World. An invisible slash, defying even the flow of time, struck Small World directly. From within, it began to destroy everything within Small World.
“You were late,” I said.
I released the fusion and returned Arti and the others. By that point, Small World had vanished without a trace.
“…Monsters,” a voice muttered from Rogil’s direction. It was the small girl’s voice.
