Hahahahahahaha!!
I have no choice but to give up.
“Die, diey, die, die, die! Die!!”
The god’s murderous intent is so overwhelming, I can only laugh.
Ignoring all the attacks from the Giant King and the Dragon King, after I found something hidden within the Sun God’s soul, the god’s attacks became desperate and merciless, raining down with an alarming amount of homicidal intent.
A barrage of powerful attacks, as if the gauge for ultimate moves was bugged, combining the god sword’s physical attacks with the Sun God’s full-fledged fire-based attacks.
It’s so dangerous that if I tried to intercept them carelessly, I’d be crushed.
“What are you laughing at?! How dare you laugh at my state?!”
As I could only offer a wry smile at the god’s desperate face, I seemed to have further fueled its anger.
Its already red face turned even redder, and it exerted an intense pressure on me.
“Hey, what did you do? You’ve been ignoring our attacks for a while now.”
“This is abnormal.”
It’s only natural that the Dragon King and Giant King would confirm what was happening through telepathic call.
Ignoring the attacks from the two who had our attention just moments before, the god was desperately trying to annihilate me.
The flow of battle had changed drastically.
“I just saw something weird. Is there any other reason for this?!”
The cause of this sudden shift was that cocoon inside the Sun God’s soul.
There’s no doubt that it was the one thing the god absolutely did not want anyone else to see.
“Something weird?”
“What is it?”
“It’s a cocoon-like thing inside its soul, of unknown purpose, unknown existence, I don’t know what it is at all. Or rather, I don’t even know if it’s a cocoon.”
Even while desperately fending off attacks and fighting for my life, I still have to share information.
The battlefield is always a black hole!!
The tragic reality that to improve the work environment, I must strengthen my own power.
Hearing my report, they stopped their attacks and exchanged glances, but it’s not the time to be staring blankly!
Our newcomer is in trouble!
“Hey, Giant King, do you know what it is?”
“No, I have absolutely no idea. Furthermore, the Human King’s ability to see the god’s body structure is abnormal.”
“I suppose so.”
“What can I do?! My combat style is all about striking, and my abilities are being criticized for it?!”
Even the Dragon King and Giant King, my senpai, didn’t know what the thing inside the god was.
Moreover, I’m in trouble being looked at with skeptical eyes as if they doubt its existence.
I saw it.
Even if they told me to show them, I can’t let a third party see this vision, so I can’t present it as evidence.
The only evidence is how desperately it’s trying to kill me right now.
“I’ve heard plenty about the Human King’s pervertedness from that Oni King, but I never imagined it was to this extent.”
“Your keen eye for uncovering the god’s secrets is truly admirable.”
“Seriously?! Fine, you don’t have to believe me, but could you please help me deflect its attacks?!”
The god’s murderous intent brushed past my cheek, and I heard a sizzling sound from my body that shouldn’t be there. My heart has been cold ever since.
“We didn’t say we don’t believe you. In fact, we commend you. It’s probably a god-class entity.”
“A god-class entity?”
The Dragon King rekindled the fire in my chilled heart.
“I’m not sure. But if it’s something the god has to protect so desperately, that’s the only thing I can think of. It’s more important than the heart, which I know the god absolutely must protect. You’ve really accomplished something great for a newcomer.”
“It’s an existence called ‘divine rank.’ If you strike it, a god cannot maintain its form. It’s extremely difficult to ascertain. I never thought you would be able to see it.”
Although it was said that it was the genuine weakness of the god, I was only half convinced, with half of me feeling that something was off.
As I was being hit from the side, looking at the god’s desperate face trying to kill me, I had to conclude that it was plausible.
“If that’s the case, then let’s move quickly. Hey, Human King, you cut that thing down. We’ll clear a path for you.”
“That’s reasonable. There’s no need to wait for the other two.”
“Understood.”
We had found a way to kill our opponent.
Taking a deep breath, I focused.
Once again, into the world of concepts.
“You won’t get away with it!”
Power surged into the god sword, and from the perspective of the one who would be struck, it was an attack that could only be described as even more vicious.
I dodged by a hair’s breadth, but the wind pressure was so intense it felt like my head could have been severed. I can’t possibly dodge this with ease.
Even though I dodged the blade with a slight exaggeration of distance, I heard a faint scraping sound from my armor. Oh, this armor was quite expensive. Well, it’s already covered in scratches.
The Dragon King’s form turned pitch black. This means its fighting style has shifted towards offense. The temple is going to be even more unrecognizable.
“Hmph!”
The Giant King also seemed to have powered up. Just by sheer will, its body size increased by more than half. What a mystery of the human body!
Oops, careful, careful. Focus, focus.
I almost got distracted by the Dragon King’s incoming attack and the Giant King’s transformation, but from here on, I need to focus solely on the god.
“Huh?”
Yes, I was about to do that. I tried to focus and begin my conceptual perception, but it felt like I was repelled by something, and I couldn’t perceive it. Or rather, I could perceive it. But before, it felt like diving into the sea, while now it felt like diving into mud, with poor visibility and resistance.
I quickly understood the reason for this change. Battles between concepts are fought under the condition that the stronger concept prevails. By that logic, at this very moment, the god’s concept has become strong enough to block my own.
My head throbbed, and with great effort, I finally began to slowly move forward and perceive. My perception of the world outside the god was smooth, in stark contrast to my inability to perceive the god itself. The god smirked unpleasantly. It knew I couldn’t act freely. It wasn’t complacent or slacking off, but it didn’t seem to be letting down its guard either, as it still saw me as a threat.
There are still options.
“Kaido!!”
“Understood! I’ve been waiting!”
My trump cards are not exhausted. I signaled my reliable kouhai. And then, the sound of flight could be heard.
“Amili-chan’s special! Taste this anti-god weapon!”
Even though it was a telepathic call, and the god couldn’t hear it, I wonder who I was talking to. The god, sensing the missile-shaped object, glared at it with red eyes, preparing to intercept it.
“You’re too slow!”
Kaido, having anticipated such a counter, immediately deployed the missile’s warhead, spreading out numerous micro-missiles over a wide area. Seeing the missiles spread out radially, we took some distance.
“Did you really think such an attack would work on me?!”
The large missile transformed into smaller ones. The god, underestimating the change, ignored them.
“You’re mistaken if you think our specialty is solely physical damage!”
Those small missiles deployed propellers and, as if calculated, expanded lines of light like a net.
“Eat this! Magic Absorption Net!”
“Gah?!”
A barrier was deployed solely to absorb the god’s magic power. It was a weapon designed only to gain a moment of restraint, a single instant of spasms.
“Tricks like these!”
The god, unfazed by such a barrier, sliced through it with its god sword as if it were paper.
“One moment is enough!”
That split second was enough to secure ample time for us to attack at full force again. The god’s conceptual barrier, which had momentarily faltered, had a tear. First, I will slice through that conceptual barrier!
“Kieiyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!”
Instead of slicing through it all at once, the image of slicing through the superficial layers of the wall, tearing through something thick, sticky, and mud-like, yielded results.
“I see it!”
And beyond the tear, the same vision I saw before opened up.
“You won’t get away with it!”
“We’re not just a one-trick pony with our romantic weapon!”
The conceptual defense immediately recovered, and the cleared vision began to blur. As expected, the response was swift. But my kouhai’s follow-up was also swift. Micro-missiles were fired, and the main body of the large missile, which we thought was empty, reignited.
“Loading absorbed magic power, now, receive the drill’s romance!”
The spirally rotating missile accelerated from zero to maximum speed.
“Nngh?!”
Thanks to that romantic weapon, I was able to see the god’s surprised face. It frantically tried to knock it down with its god sword, but cutting a rapidly rotating object is more difficult than it sounds. Moreover, it was coated in magic power, making it difficult to cut. The drill missile, bouncing off the god sword, flew straight towards the god’s heart.
A battle of fractions of a second.
The god, unable to dodge that, braced itself to receive it. In that moment, the Giant King and I lunged forward, and the Dragon King gathered magic power in its mouth.
By grabbing the drill with one arm, a risky move, it created an opening. The Giant King’s spiked ball struck the god’s right shin, throwing off its balance. Then, the Dragon King’s breath slammed into its face, further destabilizing the god.
“I’ll carve up that unnaturally tough body of yours!”
I lunged in then.
One-hit, two-cleave.
There is nothing this blade cannot cut.
Raising the Ore Tree overhead with both hands, I swung the blade diagonally from the Sun God’s neck. Like cutting tofu, the blade sliced through the god’s body without resistance. The difference was, its body, which had regenerated instantly before, was not regenerating now. As a price. My brain was already in bad shape. It felt like I’d been hit directly on the head with a hammer. I nearly lost consciousness for a moment. My mouth felt sticky with blood, and even when I wiped it, the bleeding wouldn’t stop.
“Kaha, I see it.”
Even in this situation, I can still laugh. I guess I’ve gone quite mad. In that brief moment of combat, I caught sight of the white, shining cocoon again and lunged towards it. I couldn’t perceive anything else. But the groundwork was laid to push solely towards that point. I trusted that the others would follow me as I unhesitatingly plunged in.
“…!”
I won’t plant any flags at this critical juncture! Until I was certain of its final blow with this one strike, I bit down and unleashed the slash. My vision slowed down. Faster, faster! Too slow, everything is too slow! Just a little more, just a little more! The blade touched the cocoon. If I can swing this through!!
“I won’t die!!!”
It was at that instant. The blade indeed touched the cocoon. At that moment, I clearly heard the god’s soul cry out. An ordinary fear of death. Or rather, a clinging to life. A desperate, individual cry. I was instantly enveloped in light, accompanied by excruciating pain, and blown away.
“Huh?”
Before I knew it, I was lying on my back, gazing up at the sky. The sunlight that had covered the sky was gone, replaced by clouds. What happened? I was fighting, wasn’t I? I couldn’t feel anything in my body. This is bad. I can’t move a finger. Only my vision is barely intact. My breathing is shallow, but my lungs are alive. As I was gathering information about my body, I saw it. As I turned my head, a single boy stood in the epicenter of what looked like an explosion that had blown everything away.
