As the poison gas was about to spread, a calm female voice suddenly rang out. “Two Dragon Hunters of the same level?! Class Leader, you’re not joking, are you? Aren’t we Dragon Hunters the elite organization of Dragon Country?” Ah Hua, having just entered university, was clearly still in an ivory tower and only half-understood many things. As they talked casually, time quietly passed, and it was now morning. The surrounding scenery had changed from various jungles and deserts to a city with towering buildings. The harsh sunlight fiercely squeezed into every corner of the carriage, as if trying to devour the coolness within.
“We are about to arrive at Magic City East Station. Please check your luggage,” the Attendant’s voice sounded through the carriage’s speaker, with a hint of relief in her tone. She felt she would need at least a week’s vacation to continue working.
Stretching, Su Jiu got up and bid farewell to these Dragon Hunter students, disappearing into the crowd of passengers eager for photos and autographs.
Not far from the station, in a rather quiet coffee shop, three figures sat side by side. The fine sunlight streamed in, feeling a bit warm.
Gently stirring the ice in her iced Americano, Su Jiu glanced with a smile at Mr. Wenders, who seemed a bit more cheerful, and watched him intently reading a small newspaper. She said lightly, “Looking at you, Uncle, it seems you’re not always hiding. Your complexion has improved quite a bit.”
