The purple shadow paused briefly in the sky, seemingly contemplating.
All Su Jiu heard was the whistling wind and snow. There was no answer, which left her somewhat bewildered. However, in the next moment, a voice came from somewhere, becoming ethereal with the wind:
“There is no Ice Sky Vulture. I… my name is Lin.”
As she heard the voice, Su Jiu came back to herself and looked in the direction of the sound, but she was already gone. All she could see were the footprints and the lingering warmth on her hand.
“Is that really true?”
Looking up at the disappearing purple light in the distance, Su Jiu froze, her mouth slightly agape. A sense of belated fear surged in her heart. She was really that Ice Sky Vulture…
Someone who could easily kill her.
But her saying there was no Ice Sky Vulture, only Lin, perhaps meant that they would only communicate as “Su Jiu” and “Lin,” without involving anything else.
