Chapter 554: Fierce Battle
“What’s wrong?”
Su Jiu’s actions naturally drew Ye Jie’s attention. The latter already considered the former a great figure, so she would naturally focus on the former’s every move. She then asked in surprise in a low voice.
“Nothing, it’s just that some little cuties seem to have noticed us.”
With a light laugh, Su Jiu took out the loquat branch, formed a sword shape with two fingers, and stroked the leaves, as if a faint halo appeared.
“Little cuties?”
Hearing the former’s words, Ye Jie was a bit confused. Why did she not understand what the other party was saying?
Just as she was puzzled, the entire mountain range began to tremble. Immediately, the snow pines on both sides of the mountain path quickly collapsed, revealing some enormous shadows.
“This is bad, we’ve been discovered. The cloak can only hide our presence among Battle King Level beings. It might be a Demigod Level Snow-liking Beast.”
Looking at this scene, Ye Ji’s expression immediately turned much uglier, and she said in a low voice.
“Run!”
Without her needing to say anything, the other three immediately untied the rein of the horned horses and fled backward, their speed exceptionally fast.
Amona, on the other hand, turned around and unleashed two or three massive slashes towards the black shadows. She then shouted at the two people who remained in place, “Run quickly, don’t stay here! Those beasts have found us!”
“Bang!”
Just as the three were fleeing, a figure that looked like a giant ape suddenly flashed out of the air and heavily slammed its fists onto the ground. Its ferocious black face and pale eyes, filled with a trace of coldness, locked onto the three in an instant.
Looking at this giant Snow-liking Beast, everyone’s hearts sank. This Snow-liking Beast was not only at the Battle King Level, but it was also extremely massive, its size advantage evident.
“Heh heh, I didn’t expect there to be foreigners in a place like this.”
Just as a few people were exclaiming at the giant Snow-liking Beast, a rather sharp laughter rang out. Immediately, a snow-white figure appeared in the air above everyone in just a few breaths.
The figure that appeared in the air was a fluffy mass, somewhat resembling a fat monkey with a large belly. Golden light flashed in its eyes as it stared down at the people below with a hint of playfulness.
In the “Fat Monkey’s” hand was a cleaver made of stone about a meter long. With a slight vibration, it brought with it a sharp chill, looking both comical and terrifying.
Looking at the “Fat Monkey” that appeared, Amonna and the others’ faces immediately turned pale, and they spoke with slight trembling.
“It’s the mutated Snow-liking Beast mentioned by that senior…”
The “Fat Monkey” did not rush to attack. Instead, it looked down at the few people from above, its gaze sweeping over them, and finally landed on Su Jiu. It narrowed its eyes and said with interest:
“I can’t see through you. Your strength should be quite formidable. If you follow me, I can let your companions leave.”
Hearing this, Su Jiu pointed to herself, her expression a little strange as she blinked. This fat monkey only had the Cultivation Level of a Beginner War God, and it was in the early stage. Yet, it was so arrogant.
Seeing Su Jiu’s gesture, the “Fat Monkey” rolled its eyes and grinned again, saying, “Don’t point. It’s you. Call me Boss, and I’ll let you eat and drink well.”
After the former spoke, everyone’s gaze shifted. Except for Ye Jie, everyone else was somewhat shocked. Not being able to see through someone likely meant that Su Jiu’s strength was greater than this mutated Snow-liking Beast.
“You also know that you can’t see through my strength. Aren’t you afraid that I’m a stronger expert?”
The “Fat Monkey’s” tone made Su Jiu want to laugh. However, it was rare to encounter such an interesting monster, so she did not attack immediately. Instead, she engaged in a conversation with great interest.
“…”
The “Fat Monkey” was stunned for a moment, its brain seeming to not catch up. A Snow-liking Beast that was taller than it also appeared beside it and nudged it twice, saying very seriously, “Boss, that seems to be the case.”
After receiving the reminder from its subordinate, the “Fat Monkey’s” expression changed slightly. It had been in this peaceful place for too long and had a bit of a delayed reaction, but it wasn’t stupid…
Immediately, its eyes narrowed slightly. Sensing Su Jiu’s mental power which was far superior to its own, a glint of ferocity flashed through its eyes, and it slowly descended, walking towards Su Jiu.
The Snow-liking Beast beside it wanted to follow but was waved away by it. Each step was extremely slow, as if it were accumulating a powerful move.
Ye Jie and the other three looked at its figure, and a sense of vigilance arose in their hearts. They each clenched the weapons in their hands, while the horned horses collapsed beside Su Jiu, their eyes filled with fear.
“What do you want to do?”
Seeing that the other party was only about ten meters away, Su Jiu’s eyes also showed a solemn expression. She slightly raised the loquat branch in her hand and slightly lowered her posture.
“What do I want to do?”
One step, two steps… Finally, the “Fat Monkey” stopped at a distance of five meters from Su Jiu and the others. It laughed, its eyes slightly closed, as if preparing to unleash a powerful move.
Su Jiu had already activated Wange to the second level, her arm almost exerting force in an instant. Then, she heard a “plop” sound next to her ear and looked forward, dumbfounded.
“This King admits defeat and is willing to obey your commands.”
The “Fat Monkey” knelt directly on the ground, without any of the dignity of a War God Level being. However, its face was filled with a calm expression, clearly a person who valued life over dignity.
Not only Su Jiu and the others were stunned, but all the other Snow-liking Beasts also showed confusion in their eyes. They hadn’t even started fighting, so why did His Majesty surrender first?
“Obey my command? We’ve only met for less than a minute. Aren’t you being a bit too hasty?”
Su Jiu, who initially thought the other party was just playing, now felt that the other party might be acting up, putting on an invincible Monarch posture, just to make a louder thud when kowtowing, right?
“Heh heh, it’s not hasty, not hasty…”
The “Fat Monkey” scratched its head. When its golden pupils looked at Su Jiu’s brow, it felt a burning sensation and couldn’t help but close them tightly, then lowered its head, not daring to make eye contact.
The other Snow-liking Beasts, seeing that their Boss had surrendered, exchanged glances and also reverted to their short stature of just over two meters, standing elegantly.
The four who led the way dared not speak. Their expressions as they looked at Su Jiu were already filled with awe. They had already guessed Su Jiu’s identity and that she was most likely participating in the National Master competition.
“However, if you recognize me as your Boss, I can’t give you much. Why don’t we go our separate ways?”
Looking at the other party, Su Jiu smiled, then calmed the horned horses. She held the reins, appearing ready to leave with the four.
She also had no desire to take the other party as a Beast Pet. That position should be left to someone predestined.
“Hey, hey! You can’t say that. I can also lead the way. Otherwise, there are many things ahead that don’t have eyes and will disturb Boss.”
The “Fat Monkey” said cheerfully, patting its furry chest, as if saying there would be no problem with it around.
Hearing the former’s words, Su Jiu discussed with those four again. Letting this Fat Monkey follow them was fine, as the other party couldn’t beat her anyway, and it could also drive away many troubles.
Soon, Su Jiu, the Blood Clan, the four Snow Demons, and the Fat Monkey combination set off again. Their shadows were quickly indistinguishable. A Snow-liking Beast that didn’t quite understand the situation looked at their retreating figures and said confusedly, “Why did the Great King behave like this? His true form is peerlessly powerful… even a mid-level War God can’t withstand him.”
“Great King’s eyes can break illusions and see many things that only diviners can see…”
The Snow-liking Beast that had reminded the Fat Monkey earlier merely mentioned it faintly and then stopped speaking, only sighing and turning away.
