Well, the ingredients were monsters that Lidia and the others who were escorting Rika had in their storage.

However, Float and Dragunia are the capitals, so the Hunter’s Guild could prepare that much money immediately, but Feel is a frontier town, so it’s questionable.

But due to a stupid Order, our plans went awry.
I never expected to have to make a U-turn to Float so soon after arriving in Memoria.
The Hunter’s Guild staff were surprised that we brought in so many monsters they’d never seen before. The purchase price was 70 million El, but thanks to Yamato and the others making a scene yesterday, we were fortunate not to have any idiotic hunters bothering us, so it ended faster than I expected.
After that, we also went to the Trader’s Guild and purchased cherry trees.
It was a sudden request, and considering the season, we couldn’t buy that many, but we still managed to buy enough for two regular beast carriages.
Normally, we’d negotiate or something, but since Yamato was granted branches of the Heavenly Tree as a reward, it was easy because we didn’t need to prepare anything urgently.
So, we were able to leave Memoria before noon.
Now, inside the beast carriage that Eos is holding, Yamato and Fiana are facing each other, creating blueprints for the beast carriage.
“It’s not impossible, and the deck will be usable, so it will definitely be wider than this beast carriage. But this part, and this part, and this… no one has ever built it before, so it’s going to take quite a while, you know?”

To be precise, it seems he wants to put a ship’s hull on a base and attach wheels to that base.
He was saying things like maybe Eos could handle a ship-shaped body more easily than a box-shaped beast carriage, or that a streamlined shape would have less resistance when flying, but I don’t really understand that part.
Eos was impressed, and it seemed she preferred it, so we decided to go with that. But then the questions arose about what kind of ship it would be, the exterior and interior, and how the familiars would ride on it. I doubt we’ll decide all of that before we reach Feel.

Feel faces Lake Veil, and there are frequent requests for monster subjugation in that area.
Yamato and Prim have taken on these requests a few times, and it seems they had to explore the lake shore, search from the sky on Jade and Fluorite, or rent a boat from some guild. So, Yamato apparently wants to own their own ship.
Still, turning a beast carriage into a ship, that’s not something normal people would consider.

A driver’s seat will be installed at the front of the deck, but it will be designed so that it can also be accessed from the cabin.

Familiars will enter from the rear of the deck, and it seems they will be able to go directly to the Mirror Room by deploying familiar steps.
The entrance to the Mirror Room will have stairs leading to the cabin, but it will also serve as a passage to the driver’s seat, so it can’t be made too large.
However, these stairs will lead not only to the Mirror Room but also to the top of the cabin, and the top of the cabin will be an observation deck, allowing for lookout duties and attacks with bows or magic.

The Mirroring enchantment will have to be done by Yamato or Flam after they register as Crafters and are promoted to S-rank, but considering the familiars and wanting it as wide as possible, I feel like Yamato will have to be the one to do it.

Therefore, no one has ever thought of placing a hull on top of a chassis and fixing it with connecting parts, nor has anyone ever built one. So, while it might not be entirely new technology, it will undoubtedly be something close to it.
Furthermore, the biggest problem is the wheels.
Normal beast carriages have independent suspension, which can absorb some of the shock.
However, the beast carriage Yamato and the others are designing is large and heavy, so it would definitely be impossible with the same four-point independent suspension as a normal beast carriage.
Wheels are generally made of monster hide filled with rubber and air, but if you carry heavy objects, the monster hide gets damaged and becomes unusable quickly, so we need to consider that as well.
“I think using Grand Deathwurm for the wheels will solve the problem.”

The Grand Deathwurm is a rare species of Sand Worm.
However, Sand Worms are G-rank Monsters, and more importantly, they only inhabit Solmne, so they are rarely hunted.
All Sand Worms on the market are from labyrinths, and since they are G-rank monsters, they are high-end products, so there’s no idea of using them for wheels.
So, what are they used for? Expensive tents and sofas.
Besides breathability, they also have a pleasant elasticity, and the comfort of sofas made from Sand Worm hide is rumored to be heavenly.

However, if an observation deck or lookout post is placed on top of the cabin, the rear will be easier to check, reducing blind spots.

The lower part of the deck will be the Mirror Room, but not all of it can be used, so the width will probably be around 20 square meters.
The concept in Valentia was a 50x enchantment, but it’s uncertain how wide high-class crafters can actually enchant. So, it’s impossible to verify until Flam becomes an S-rank crafter.
I have a feeling Yamato could even do 100x, not just 50x, but his magic power is outside the standards, so it’s not a reference at all.
Still, since Yamato and Flam will register as crafters, it might make things a little easier for us.
