Field Cosmos deployed, I split my consciousness across four battlefields. It’s not just difficult, it’s incredibly so, but thanks to the acceleration enhancement magic called Accelerating Magic, my thought speed is also accelerated, and thanks to the high processing power of Spirit Hexa Dipper, I’m somehow managing. I recalled my school days and verified it, and it turns out Spirit Hexa Dipper was a Multi-Attribute Specialization Type Living Type, so if it weren’t, I might not have been able to do this.
I heard that someone who generated a Multi-Attribute Specialization Type had a predecessor from high school who, for about six months after generating an Engraving Tool, thought it was a Single Attribute Type. That person is a Generator of the Setting Type, and they say that both Setting Type and Living Type have processing capabilities comparable to Multi-Attribute Specialization Type even with a Single Attribute Type, so they wouldn’t have known if it weren’t pointed out.
By the way, confirming whether it’s a Multi-Attribute Specialization Type isn’t that difficult. However, using the same A-Rank Tech simultaneously is not something people normally consider, nor is there any point in doing so, so it’s not unusual for people not to know. It’s impossible to use the same A-Rank Tech simultaneously with a Single Attribute Type, but Multi-Attribute Specialization Type not only has multiple attributes but also parallel processing as a characteristic, so that’s how you can judge. For Armament Type and Ornament Type, it’s easy to tell so you don’t need to do that, but for Living Type and Setting Type, their processing power is high, so it’s difficult to judge without confirming like this. I remembered what my senior said and just did it to be safe, but I was surprised because it actually worked.
I didn’t think I would generate a Multi-Attribute Specialization Type, but it seems to be influenced by Yamato’s parents, so I’m convinced of this. By the way, Spirit Hexa Dipper is a Multi-Attribute Specialization Living Type of Wind and Water, and the shape of a pinwheel with a ladle also actually meant a waterwheel that spins with wind, so the shape also indicated a Multi-Attribute Specialization Type. I should have realized it sooner.
That aside, I need to concentrate on the battlefield in front of me right now. One is where Yamato and the others are fighting right in front of me, but frankly, the support there is minimal. The plaza with the Treasure Tree is entirely within the domain of my Field Cosmos and Starlight Circle, and if I move carelessly, the light of Starlight Circle will cause even Hunters and Beastars to take significant damage. Wing Crest is no exception, but they are fighting right in front of me, and above all, they are all Ancient Class, so they won’t die instantly. Normally, I wouldn’t do something so reckless, but with Healing Magic and Recovery Magic like Helios Orb, some reckless battles are within acceptable limits. As long as they are alive, I can heal them with the healing magic Extra Healing, and even if an arm or leg is lost, it can be regenerated. I question this myself, but it’s not a situation where I can afford to say such things right now, so I grudgingly understand.
At Holy Grave too, with two Ancient Classes present, I don’t feel any danger. However, at Falcon’s Beak, Karl is carelessly coming forward. It’s understandable since he’s only recently evolved, but he’s always had a tendency to rush ahead, so that needs to be corrected. Well, with his mother El, Holly, and his partner Millie there, he’ll likely be taught a lesson.
The ones struggling the most are, as expected, the Beastars. They were formerly part of the Valentia Beast Knight Brigade, and some of them have experience in subjugating rebels, but this is their first large-scale subjugation battle. Also, their levels are around 46 on average, and even Beastar’s Master Minarris is only level 52, so even with jade silver weapons, they can’t defeat them easily. That’s why Eos is providing support, but the number of monsters is high, and they are all high-ranked, so one person has her limits.
That’s why my attention is most focused on the Beastars. I’ll deploy the light of Starlight Circle intensively, yet diffusely. There, that should do it. Now, I’m sorry, but I’ll have to rely on Eos to do her best. If I have some breathing room, I might be able to send someone to support her too.
With that thought, I turned part of my consciousness to Yamato, who was just decapitating a Catoblepas. Besides Catoblepas, there are monsters like Cockatrice and Basilisk, but with Helios Orb, they can’t petrify you. However, if they look at you with mana-infused eyes, your body will stiffen and become immobile as if it were stone. Dark Magic has magic that affects the mind, and in fact, those monsters use Dark Magic as well. As for those eyes, Ancient Class can resist them as long as they’re not careless, and even High Class can manage, but Normal Class can’t do anything about them. That’s why, not just Catoblepas, but Abnormal Species Dark Breath Bull and Rare Species Third Eye Bull are also high priority for subjugation.
To the three Catoblepas approaching me from behind, I activated my trump card, Calamity Hexagram, which rivals Starlight Circle. A barrier of water and wind appeared from the hexagram drawn on the ground, trapping the Catoblepas. Darkness dominated the barrier, ionized flames floated around the Catoblepas, and the light of Starlight Circle, which had become a layered technique, rained down from above. After the light pierced them, they ignited, and at that signal, the ionized flames attacked. However, since I don’t intend to waste the materials, I used the water and wind barrier to extinguish the flames simultaneously as the Catoblepas perished. After doing all that, I released Calamity Hexagram, but the Catoblepas are scorched, and there are holes in places. …Yeah, I overdid it. I need to prioritize preventing the Labyrinth Flood, and I’ll think about the materials later.
“It’s been a while, but Calamity Hexagram is as outrageous as ever.”
Reacting to the voice, I turned around and saw Prim smiling wryly.
“I admit it’s outrageous. I myself didn’t expect it to become such a high-level technique.”
Calamity Hexagram and Starlight Circle were completed with the help of Yamato’s parents and seniors, and they were among the world’s leading Generators at the time, with extensive combat experience. Therefore, their accuracy and strength are far higher than my original conception, and the required processing power is proportionally high. I’m used to it now, but it was really difficult when it was first completed…
“Yamato’s father and mother, huh? I’d like to meet them just once, but it’s impossible, isn’t it?”
“That’s for sure.”
Yamato’s father and mother, in other words, my close friends, Prim and the others often say they want to meet them, but they are on Earth, so of course, they can’t meet. They’ve become my in-laws too, so if possible, I’d like to pay my respects, but there’s nothing I can do about it.
“I understand how you feel, but now is not the time to be talking about such things?”
Flam, who was aiming his bow near me, admonished me, saying it wasn’t the time. Indeed, it’s currently during battle, and the number of monsters is immense, so it’s not the time for idle chatter. Flam is also firing Tidal Blaster and Arrow Rain Tempest with his unique magic while keeping an eye on us.
“Sorry, sorry. I shouldn’t dwell on things that can’t be done.”
“It’s a wish that can’t come true, but I really do want to pay my respects. Ha!”
A wish that can’t come true, huh? I can no longer meet my family either, and even if I could return to Earth, at least 20 years would have passed, so I’ve given up on returning. After all that time, my family would have likely moved on. I want to let them know I’m doing well and that I’ve gotten married, but it’s impossible and I try not to think about it too much. Everyone has treated me well, and unlike Yamato, I’ve found that Helios Orb suits me better.
Besides, it’s not the time to be talking about such things, so we quickly switched our focus.
“Taiiiiaaa!”
Activating Blood Shaking with my magical fan, Rurizakura, I threw it at a Third Eye Bull that had escaped the Starlight Circle’s net and was attacking, slashing it. Now that Spirit Hexa Dipper is fully generated, I can only use it as a pair of fans, but I had anticipated this kind of usage, and I’ve hunted monsters with it many times, so there’s no particular problem. Furthermore, while still activating Blood Shaking, I imbued it with the braiding of wind and water attribute magic and brought it down on Icequake Tiger. At first, I thought braiding on a fan would have poor compatibility and usability, but once I got used to it, it wasn’t so bad, and by using the attached telekinetic magic, I can use it like a missile, which is quite convenient. The downside is that since it’s not my telekinetic magic, fine movements are difficult.
“Is it about time?”
“Huh? Ah, Hanuman. Things are getting troublesome over there too?”
Yamato, who had retreated once, looked around the battlefield and spoke. I think the number of monsters has been halved, but there are still Abnormal Species and Catastrophe Species present. Especially since there are Catoblepas, Avalanche Howl, and Cresthorn Pegasus fighting Hanuman, even for Yamato, fighting alone would be suicidal. Nevertheless, Yamato is trying to defeat Hanuman single-handedly as much as possible. He’s getting a bit too invested, which is scary, but I understand the reason why he’s doing that, so we intend to provide as much support as we can.
“I’m going!”
“Okay!”
Mina, Athena, Lydia, and Ludia were the same. As soon as Yamato headed for Hanuman, the four of them and Prim targeted the Abnormal Species and Catastrophe Species fighting Hanuman. Flam is providing support with his bow while also acting as my guard and mopping up stragglers. I can’t move from this spot because I’m deploying Field Cosmos, but like Flam, I can provide support and mop up stragglers. Also, I’m interested in what lies beyond Ancient Class.
So, I rotated the windmill of Spirit Hexa Dipper. Spirit Hexa Dipper is a pinwheel-shaped Multi-Attribute Specialization Living Type Engraving Tool. The blades of the pinwheel can be used as ladles specialized in six attributes, but its original characteristic is pseudo-all-attribute bestowal. However, its most characteristic feature is that by spinning the pinwheel, it gathers magic power and boosts the accuracy and strength of Engraving Tools and Engraving Magic. It has been confirmed that this also has an effect on magic, so the strength of Starlight Circle, which I am currently activating, as well as my unique magic Field Cosmos, has increased dramatically. I don’t know if it can withstand the attacks of Demise Species, but they won’t be able to escape easily, so in terms of preventing escape, there should be no problem.
“That’s amazing. Field Cosmos, which was already strong, is even stronger now.”
“It consumes that much magic, so I don’t really want to use it in a chaotic battle.”
Engraving Magic is efficient in terms of magic power, and with an Engraving Tool, consumption can be further reduced. However, to use the characteristics of that Engraving Tool, you have to use magic power, albeit not a lot. For a short time, it’s not a problem, but in an endless chaotic battle, if you mismanage your pace, it can become troublesome, so it’s sometimes difficult to use. Since the blades of Spirit Hexa Dipper, despite being a pinwheel, don’t move when hit by wind, I have to flow my magic power to spin it, and if I stop the magic, the rotation also stops, so the magic consumption is subtly high. That’s precisely why, now that I’ve started spinning the pinwheel, I have to annihilate them all in a short period.
“That’s why we’re going all out!”
I layered the S-rank technique Calamity Hexagram with Starlight Circle, which was already activated, to create a spherical barrier layered technique. With the layered technique, Starlight Circle’s light gained earth and fire attributes, becoming meteors. Upon impact, magic circles appear, and blades of wind and water are generated, slicing and dicing monsters. I’ll leave the monsters near Holy Grave, Falcon’s Beak, and Beastar to the others, but for other monsters, I’ll additionally stab them with spears of light to finish them off. For M-rank or higher monsters, I need to concentrate Starlight Circle to defeat them completely, but with Calamity Hexagram layered, it’s fine. It’s certainly difficult to control, but fighting the swarm of Antlion that suddenly appeared at the Kraken Battle was tough with just Starlight Circle alone, and yet Calamity Hexagram could have involved allies, so I needed to find a solution. The answer I came up with was the layered technique of Calamity Hexagram and Starlight Circle, which is my greatest trump card, the unisex S-rank non-elemental technique Meteorite Light Sphere. Moreover, it’s set to automatically track targets recognized by me, and I’ve adjusted it so the reverse is also possible. Because of that, nearly 70% of Spirit Hexa Dipper’s processing power has to be allocated to it, so I can only manage to maintain Field Cosmos. With that much processing power being used, I will absolutely not let any recognized target within my domain escape. As proof of that, over 80% of the remaining monsters were annihilated by Meteorite Light Sphere, leaving only about 20. The remaining monsters are all Catastrophe Species, but let’s pretend Meteorite Light Sphere is incomplete.
Now then, I’ll leave the Catastrophe Species to everyone else, and I’ll try to land a blow on Hanuman myself.
