I apologize for the delay in updates due to the flu.
My condition hasn’t fully recovered, so please bear with me as I’ll be updating only once every few days for a while.
It’s been a month since Dad and Mom returned to Japan.
A few days ago, Satsuki, the daughter of Ed and Fiana and a Harpy, was born, making Hinomoto Mansion even livelier.
I had prepared several names for Satsuki, including their meanings, as Ed had asked me to choose a Japanese name for her. He then selected one from the options I provided.
“Out of all the options, why did you have to choose that one of all names…”
That was Mako’s reaction, and I completely agreed.
You see, Satsuki is also the name of my aunt, who is Mako’s senior. When Ed chose that name, Mako and I were both terrified.
She’s usually kind, but she’s terrifying when angered.
My older brother was once killed for calling her “Auntie”… Anyway, “Sha” refers to a type of woven silk fabric, which includes silk. Fiana is a carpenter, but she’s recently started to get seriously involved in tailoring and sewing, so it seems Ed chose this name after careful consultation with her.
Putting that aside, today a final meeting will be held at Amagi Castle for the Kobaldia campaign and the establishment of the Febro Lehithrest Marquisate. The fall of Kobaldia and the destruction of the Imperial Royal Family will unify the Philia Continent in name and reality under the Amister-Philias Federation Heavenly Empire. Kings from various countries will attend, and the Grand Master of the Ritter’s Guild will also be present. The Febro Lehithrest Marquisate will have a smaller territory than Enerro Istoria, but it will leverage its location facing the Nadal Sea to serve as a transit nation for supplying the Solemnne region. Therefore, Lady Palme Goldschtiar, who will become the Marquis of Lehithrest, and Crown Princess Brunhild will also participate in today’s meeting.
“Everyone, thank you for gathering here from afar. Let us begin the meeting. Rex, please report on the current situation in Kobaldia.”
Emperor Reinhardt’s declaration marked the start of the grand assembly. First, the Kobaldia campaign.
“I will report. Since the defeat the month before last, no reinforcements from Abaricia have been sighted. It is also unlikely that Retisencia is aware of the Demon Race’s defeat.”
“That’s to be expected, as they have no means of obtaining information.”
“Even if they did, the Imperial Royal Family disregards information. So, even if they were to obtain it, wouldn’t they dismiss it as false intelligence?”
“Indeed, they likely would.”
I don’t know about the early days of the empire, but the successive Imperial Kings for the past few generations have been foolish and have little understanding of the usefulness or importance of information. Rather, they readily accept information that is convenient for them, while immediately discarding inconvenient information and executing those who brought it – a truly hopeless incompetence. Therefore, they have no way to obtain information about the Demon Race’s retreat, and even if they did, they would never believe it.
“That’s fine. Even if they had obtained information, they have nowhere to escape.”
“Indeed. They may attempt to hold out in their castle, but even that will be a futile effort.”
As Emperor Reinhardt and Grand Duke Liar said, Kobaldia is their last stronghold, so they have nowhere to escape on the Philia Continent, nor do we intend to let them. In particular, the Imperial Palace is planned to be obliterated by the mythical-class magic circles created by myself and Mako, and Kobaldia will meet the same fate. However, it would be fitting to at least take the head of the Imperial King, so there are opinions, and I agree, that we should first attack Kobaldia with Orders as the vanguard, followed by Knights, and then volunteer Hunters.
“That will be the finishing touch. But before that, as I have stated before, we will first conquer Kobaldia through strength. Rex, have the selections for the assault force been completed?”
“They have. All members of the Ancient Order will participate, except for the Associate Order’s Master and the Royal Order, who will remain on the Float. The acceptance of volunteers from the Ritter’s Guild also concluded the other day.”
Thanks to the grueling training by Dad and Mom, ten new Knights have evolved to Ancient Class. In particular, six members of the Royal Order, whose primary duty is the protection and security of the Celestial Emperor’s Family, have evolved. This brings the total number of Ancient Orders to thirteen. However, it is understandable that Associate Order’s Master Miranda and the Royal Order must remain to guard the Float and the Celestial Emperor’s Family. Furthermore, since the Grand Masters of the Father’s Guild, Dragoner’s Guild, Beastar’s Guild, and Phacer’s Guild have also evolved, all Ritter’s Guilds now have Ancient Class members. The Grand Father’s Master and Grand Beastar’s Master complained that their retirement has been postponed.
“Understood. Then all that’s left is to set the date?”
“Yes. We are preparing the schedule with the aim of one week from now.”
The volunteers from the Ritter’s Guild consist of about twenty individuals from the Father’s, Phacer’s, and Dragoner’s Guilds, led by top-tier High Class individuals, as well as about fifty Beastar’s and Soldiers from the border with Retisencia. Additionally, about 200 people from the Order’s Guild will accompany the expedition, and a Hunter’s Raid led by an Ancient Hunter has also requested to participate, bringing the total to approximately 500 people.
“For transportation, Hunters will use their own beast carriages, while Knights will be allocated multi-functional beast carriages owned by the Order’s Guild for each Ritter’s Guild. Also, considering the near-zero possibility of information leakage to Retisencia, we plan to use Traveling to deploy near Kobaldia.”
“That’s also in line with the plan. What about supplies?”
“Both weapons and armor have been newly equipped by the Ancient Knights, so there are no issues with fatigue degradation due to magic. I have not yet been able to confirm the status of the Ancient Hunters, but from what I’ve heard, they should be fine as well.”
When one evolves to Ancient Class, materials below G-rank quickly deteriorate and become unusable. Therefore, not only re-equipping but also procuring daily necessities is essential. However, materials of P-rank or higher are not easily obtained, which is why Rex-san reportedly went to the Krater Labyrinth several times to hunt down Grand Silk Crawlers. We understand how they feel, as we are in the same situation.
“Please confirm the Hunters’ equipment again. Also, I will be accompanying you this time. Does anyone have any objections?”
Emperor Reinhardt himself will accompany the Kobaldia campaign. The reason is to proclaim to the world that the Celestial Emperor himself took the head of the Imperial King and unified the Philia Continent. While no country is unaware that the Philia Continent is unified under the name of the Celestial Emperor, they are also aware that Retisencia still exists. Therefore, the Emperor’s personal visit and taking of the Imperial King’s head will serve as proof of the true unification of the Philia Continent. The kings of the various countries understand this as well, so no objections are raised.
Wait, Neige-san is raising her hand.
“Your Majesty, what about the consorts?”
“They will not accompany us this time. Especially Maruca, as she recently gave birth to Regina. While she might engage in hunting as a form of rehabilitation, I cannot allow her to face demons.”
I agree with that sentiment, so I plan to have Mana stay behind at Alka. Naturally, Prim and Flam, who are pregnant, will also stay behind.
Then, Rex-san announced the details of the plan again. Hunters will be organized by Raid, and Knights by Ritter’s Guild. They will travel using Traveling. The teleportation destination will be in front of the main gate of Kobaldia, and upon completion of the teleportation, the entire army will advance, with the ultimate destination being the Imperial Palace, where Emperor Reinhardt will take the head of the Imperial King. After the execution of the Imperial King and the Royal Family, we will immediately teleport outside Kobaldia, and then use the greatest mythical-class magic circles, Blau Solaris and Agatholam, created by myself and Mako, to obliterate Kobaldia along with its residents. After confirming the destruction of Kobaldia, we will return directly to the Float, marking the end of the operation. While it may seem crude, the demons likely present in Kobaldia are Retisencia soldiers and residents, who are considerably weaker than the demons of Abaricia. Of course, we must not let our guard down, but it has been confirmed that no high-class individuals from Retisencia exceed level 50 as Hunters. Therefore, even if they have become demons, one Ancient Class member can likely handle multiple opponents. They will probably be stronger than Lux, but since many Ancient Class members are at a higher level than I was at that time, I don’t think there will be too much difficulty.
“While it is a rough plan, post-war governance will not be necessary. Of course, we will need to be cautious of monsters, and new development will be required, but it will likely be an uninhabited land for a while.”
“It is said that the inhabitants of places other than Kobaldia are already deceased, so perhaps that is unavoidable.”
“There are likely many mutated monsters, so development will probably take a long time.”
Since there are no residents left, there’s no point in governance. Scout Order conducted an investigation in northern Retisencia last year, and they reported finding numerous subordinate monsters, likely created using Demon Crystals, and even some Catastrophe Species. We cannot rule out the possibility of monsters evolving into Demise Species due to the Divine Emperor’s magic power. If we are to develop these areas, we will have to eradicate those monsters first. However, it is not easy to deal with Demise Species, and the sites of towns and villages need to be cleared, so development will likely take many years. On the contrary, I have a strong feeling that there’s a decent chance these lands might become my territory.
“Even if we decide to develop, we do not intend to do so all at once. In some cases, we may even appoint new Three Dukes.”
Emperor Reinhardt said this, and indeed, that possibility exists. If that happens, the Bridge Duke will likely have a bridge city as his capital, as the name suggests, and the Beast Duke will preside over the former Valentia region, so will they be Grand Dukes? No, there’s also the possibility of creating new ducal titles, making them the Four Dukes. Well, that’s something for many years, even decades from now, so it’s fine for now.
“That is a matter for the future. Therefore, let us move on to the other agenda item, the independence of the Febro Lehithrest Marquisate and the abdication of Fairy King Hildegard.”
The Kobaldia campaign has been discussed many times, and this is just the final confirmation, so there is no new information. However, the independence of the Febro Lehithrest Marquisate and Hilde’s abdication, followed by Brunhild’s enthronement, have also been discussed several times, and since it has finally been definitively decided, it will be officially announced today.
“The independence of the Febro Lehithrest Marquisate is scheduled for August, provided all goes according to plan. Lady Palme Goldschtiar will be enthroned as the Marquis of Lehithrest. Furthermore, in the following month, Fairy King Hildegard will abdicate, and Crown Princess Brunhild will be enthroned as Fairy King.”
We had not been told the exact date of the Febro Lehithrest Marquisate’s independence, but it’s decided for August. It feels a bit sudden, but they’ve been working towards independence for months, so it’s not that rushed. Furthermore, to mention Hilde’s abdication at this point. Even though it’s just a rumor within Torencia, the news of Hilde’s imminent abdication has spread, so there shouldn’t be any issues with this timing.
“August? Will the enthronement be in the capital?”
“Yes. It will be held in the provisional capital, Lehithrest.”
So, Lehithrest has been decided as the provisional capital. Just as the capital of Enerro Istoria is Istoria, it seems that the capitals of counties and marquisates are cities that bear the country’s name. Well, countries other than Enerro Istoria and Febro Lehithrest are not even close to independence, so it’s unknown how far off they are. Nevertheless, this matter is more important than destroying Retisencia, so the kings’ opinions are not held back. However, it is directly related to the peace of the Philia Continent, and there were many aspects that were surprisingly useful to me as well. Given that I plan to receive territory in the future, I believe this information will be helpful then.
For that, the upcoming Kobaldia campaign absolutely must succeed. Although I have used Tuatha Dé Danann once before, I have not yet fully grasped the characteristics of Blau Solaris and Agatholam. Therefore, I need to go hunting again starting tomorrow to properly understand them.
