Chapter 5: Leng Qing Qiu’s Secret
Sitting on the sofa, looking at the glass coffee table and the fruit platter on it, Lu Zhiyin had to sigh that Leng Qing Qiu’s family background was much better than hers.
Although both were orphaned and lived in ordinary bungalows, Lu Zhiyin remembered that the protagonist’s home didn’t have a sofa, nor did it have anything like a coffee table.
The game’s graphics were already a bit blurry because the protagonist’s home was too shabby. Plus, renovating and buying furniture would cost a lot of money. Therefore, in the later stages of the game, Lu Zhiyin would control the protagonist to live in a character’s home that could be romanced, or simply stay at school.

After bringing Lu Zhiyin into the house, Leng Qing Qiu placed Lu Zhiyin’s wheelchair by the door, quite far from the sofa. It was almost impossible for Lu Zhiyin to get back into the wheelchair herself. Perhaps it was to prevent her from running around the house.

Coming back to her senses, the girl sitting on the sofa took a look around the living room and the layout of the house.
She was currently to the right of the house’s main door. At the end of the right side was a window several meters wide. Through the window, she could see the wall of the neighbor’s house. The cement wall had some sparse moss, making it look somewhat eerie.
Turning her head, Lu Zhiyin looked at the left side of the house. There was a marble table, which was very clean and had nothing on it.
To the left of the marble table was a room used for storage. Through the window, Lu Zhiyin could see large cardboard boxes and some rusty iron barrels stored in the storage room.
Opposite the house’s main door was the kitchen. On either side of the kitchen were two bedrooms. Lu Zhiyin remembered that after successfully romancing Leng Qing Qiu, she would prepare one of the bedrooms as Lu Zhiyin’s long-term residence.
As for now, the bedroom to the left of the kitchen should still be filled with many杂物 (miscellaneous items)?
As for the basement where Leng Qing Qiu killed the protagonist in the game… the entrance to that basement was in Leng Qing Qiu’s own room, which was the room to the right of the kitchen.
Lu Zhiyin thought that if she had to live here, she would probably sleep on the sofa tonight?
Mentally exhausted, by the time Lu Zhiyin came to her senses, Leng Qing Qiu was already sitting beside her, with two bowls of egg noodles on the coffee table in front of them.

This childhood friend of hers had indeed changed a lot. That was understandable, after all, since her parents were gone, she had no one to rely on. She had seen most of the hardships she had gone through.
Suffering could really change a person.
Leng Qing Qiu remembered the people she had killed. Before she revealed her true colors, those lustful scoundrels would look at her with lewd eyes. And when she restrained them, sharpened her knife, and slowly walked towards them, those people’s eyes were only filled with fear.

Afraid to wake Leng Qing Qiu, who was in a daze, Lu Zhiyin looked at the other end of the sofa. A black backpack was lying quietly on the sofa. It was Leng Qing Qiu’s schoolbag.
After looking at the black backpack for a while, Leng Qing Qiu came to her senses. She quickly finished her noodles, which had started to get mushy, and put the bowls and chopsticks into the kitchen.
A moment later, Leng Qing Qiu came back with a glass of milk and placed it on the coffee table. She took out a workbook and a pen from her schoolbag.
During this time, Lu Zhiyin kept her hands on her legs, timidly, not daring to move, for fear of doing something wrong.
Actually, Leng Qing Qiu wasn’t as scary as she imagined. Well… perhaps?
“Zhiyin, I’m going to do my homework. That glass of milk is for you. It’s been heated in the microwave, so you can drink it without worry.”

Lu Zhiyin, on the other hand, obediently picked up the glass of milk on the coffee table.

Picking up the cup, she took small sips of the milk, then placed the empty cup on the coffee table.
Soon after, she started yawning. It was only then that she realized something was wrong. Her vision went black, and she fell unconscious.
