Chapter 2 The Guide
“What are you doing?”
Qin Liu looked at Liu Haoyu’s serious expression, and a blush gradually appeared on her face.
“Nothing, I was just thinking how well these white stockings suit you.”
“Just because they suit me doesn’t give you a reason to touch them!”
Qin Liu complained speechlessly, then removed his hand from her thigh and placed it on the ground beside her.
“Besides, touching a girl’s thigh is considered sexual harassment, isn’t it?”
“That’s not necessarily true,” Liu Haoyu shrugged. “Look, Deng Xiaolin hasn’t said anything.”
“Hmph~ That’s because you’re close to her. Try it with another girl?”
Qin Liu looked at Liu Haoyu with disdain.
“See if they call the police or not?”
“I’m not so desperate that I can touch anyone. White stockings are such a sacred thing, very few people can carry them off.”
Perhaps there are many white stocking cosplays online, but everyone knows in their hearts that these are fake, processed things.
And Qin Liu, she doesn’t need any processing.
Purely natural, with no additives.
“So what’s been going on with you lately? You don’t seem to be in a good mood?”
Qin Liu sighed, then looked at the lantern in her hand and said.
“It’s nothing…”
Although Qin Liu didn’t say anything, Liu Haoyu could naturally see that she was hiding something in her heart.
“It’s getting late, you should go to bed early.”
“We have to go to Jiangquan City tomorrow.”
After speaking, Qin Liu walked towards the house.
She was no longer floating but walking like a person.
Liu Haoyu watched her back, his mind full of thoughts.
The man didn’t follow Qin Liu but kept walking forward along the first-floor aisle.
Until he reached the end of the corridor, where the ominous blood-stained iron door remained quietly.
Ever since Qin Liu took it away, it had become extremely quiet.
It didn’t move or make a sound. If someone unaware saw it, they would probably think it was just an ordinary iron door.
Liu Haoyu walked up, took out a Hypnosis Talisman from his pocket, lit it, and kept chanting.
“You are a little loli with white hair and red eyes, you are a little loli with white hair and red eyes…”
Seeing this talisman, the red door let out a frightened cry.
“Damn it! Keep your talisman away from me!”
It hadn’t forgotten that when it wanted to escape the seal by dying, this man had burned nearly twenty Hypnosis Talismans on it.
If Qin Liu hadn’t come early, it probably would have been captured by this shrimp-headed guy.
“Tsk… Can’t you change your image when you speak? This red door looks unlucky no matter how you look at it.”
Facing Liu Haoyu’s persuasion, the red door chuckled, as if mocking.
“Don’t think I don’t know your little schemes. If you have the guts, go find the Guide! Bullying me, a door, what kind of hero are you!?”
“Never mind, tell me what you know.”
Liu Haoyu certainly wouldn’t be so perverse as to want to insert himself into the keyhole.
Besides, the size wouldn’t even match.
He just came to ask the red door some questions.
“I will never tell you anything.”
The red door’s unyielding tone made Liu Haoyu reach into his pocket.
Although this thing was a bit rare for ordinary Ghost Exorcists.
But he had enough Hypnosis Talismans in his pocket to keep up with the red door.
And when Liu Haoyu took out a stack of Hypnosis Talismans, as if taking out a wad of money, the red door was completely dejected.
Would a normal Ghost Exorcist prepare so many Hypnosis Talismans!?
This guy must be a human trafficker!
“Gulp…”
The red door let out a sound of unwillingness. It was just one step away from freedom, but now it was captured by the Guide to work overtime again.
And then it encountered someone who wanted to do unspeakable things to its keyhole…
Life isn’t easy, the red door sighed.
“Speak up. If you don’t, I don’t believe you can withstand this whole stack. You should know that if you’re really hypnotized…”
Liu Haoyu had already imagined countless poses for changing clothes for a younger Qin Liu in his mind.
Seeing the villain-like smile on Liu Haoyu’s face, the red door could only surrender to his might.
“I don’t know much either.”
“Qin Liu is a sacrifice in the Night Walker ritual.”
“But the ritual seems to have gone wrong. Although she was taken to the Underworld by Black and White Impermanence,”
“When she came back, she grabbed my neck and said,”
“Are you going to help me bring lost souls to the Underworld, or should I send you to the Underworld?”
At this point, the red door’s tone was filled with infinite grievance.
“I was just eating hot pot and singing songs when I was captured by the Guide to work overtime. That’s truly unlucky!”
As it spoke with deep emotion, tears streamed down its face.
The red door said unwillingly.
“I assisted her in summoning spirits and catching ghosts for nearly half a century, and I was even attacked by a Ghost Exorcist who broke into my home!”
“Fortunately, a few years ago, something went wrong with her, and I was able to escape. But now I’ve been captured again…”
“Something went wrong?” Liu Haoyu said with some surprise, “What exactly went wrong?”
“Although Qin Liu has become a Guide, she is, after all, a living person’s soul. Even with the protection of the Black Coffin, her soul is constantly being eroded.”
“But a few years ago, she inexplicably became energetic again, as if she had become a different person.”
“The once ruthless Guide, who killed ghosts like flies, turned into a clueless little dummy.”
“She could even be scared by illusions she created herself. I still don’t understand what happened.”
“But one thing is certain: when she stood before me again a few days ago, her tone and voice… were exactly like the Guide who used to grab my neck.”
The red door’s long-winded complaint made Liu Haoyu sweat profusely.
Listening to its narrative was like dealing with a long-oppressed…
However, this red door wasn’t exactly a good thing, so Liu Haoyu couldn’t be bothered to sympathize with it.
But from the red door’s words, Liu Haoyu seemed to have a bad guess.
Could it be that the role of the Guide in Qin Liu’s heart was awakening and starting to take over her consciousness step by step?
The Black Book had repeatedly warned him not to let Qin Liu remember her responsibilities, or the consequences would be dire.
“The Black Coffin containing Qin Liu, is it with you?”
“That’s right. Her body is kept by me, and it’s currently stored in the basement of this haunted house.”
After thinking it over, Liu Haoyu looked at the red door and said.
“Open the door, I want to go into the basement to take a look.”
