Chapter 127: The Autumn of Adolf (Fourteen)
A warm wind blew, brushing over Ji Ma’s skin with a slight itch, an unpleasant sensation, like tiny insects wriggling in her pores. All the small life on her skin became vibrant due to this wind. Ji Ma managed to suppress it but still felt uneasy. Even the strongest warriors, and even the demons, were affected; what about humans?
She lowered her head and saw layers of cobweb-like mycelium gradually spreading closer. Fungal tumors grew around her brows and eyes, and fresh corpses on the ground had mushrooms sprouting from their eye sockets. Many soldiers of the Empire went mad, tearing off their armor, shaking their heads violently, and mites falling from their heads.
In comparison, the army of annihilation was less affected. This battle was initiated by the Eternal Chosen charging headlong into the fray, besieged collectively; despite the Eternal Chosen being full of confidence and swinging mercilessly, not falling behind. This guy had dressed up so much, yet wasn’t he still being cut down?
That must be my doing; if it weren’t for me, he certainly wouldn’t have fallen.
Yifeng Yeyue shook her head:
“This time is different.”
Before her words could finish, her long ears twitched, and she shouted, “Enemy attack! To the back right!”
Ji Ma held Yifeng Yeyue and hurriedly performed difficult rolling motions to evade. A gust of wind blew in, and Ji Ma quickly enhanced her “Extraordinary Charm.” Since it was inconvenient to dodge while holding Yifeng Yeyue, she flew to the top of a building and let Yifeng Yeyue go; the latter flipped in mid-air, lightly pushing off Ji Ma’s chest with her legs and landing swiftly.
“Sister, hello. We meet again,” said the Single Snake-Tailed Demon Prince, looking at Ji Ma with a pair of innocent black eyes:
“Your body certainly lives up to what dear Sin produced; still so agile.”
And you, the Single Snake-Tailed Demon Prince said, gazing at Yifeng Yeyue, who was running across the rooftop with her long legs. “Your senses are extraordinarily sharp; I can hardly wait to let you enjoy ultimate pleasure.”
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Before the words could settle, arrows came flying in. The high elves were especially furious at Sin, as Sin posed the greatest threat to the sensitive-sensed elves.
The Single Snake-Tailed Demon Prince easily dodged the arrows and said melancholy:
“You look like a certain hot-headed elf, but he did something crude to my dear sister.”
Yifeng Yeyue and Ji Ma had no mood to listen to this Demon Prince’s sentiments; without saying a word, they immediately headed towards the rift leading to the Nata’s back garden.
Yifeng Yeyue ran along the roofs, on fire and unburnt, the streets below filled with the slaughtering Fire World Army; if she fell, the consequences would be unimaginable. She occasionally sprinted, leaping over the streets and dealing with the Demon Prince’s attacks.
Ji Ma fared a bit better; she had gathered much painful energy and was agile enough to evade the Demon Prince in the air while occasionally covering for him.
But before them appeared a canal running through all of Adolf. The surface was covered with a layer of dirty white moss, and corpses with rotten mouths were still moving, trying to crawl up. That wasn’t the point; the point was, it was at least forty meters away.
Without speaking, Yifeng Yeyue shot a few arrows at the Single Snake-Tailed Demon Prince, then used the wind element, running full speed towards the canal.
The Single Snake-Tailed Demon Prince was ready; he shivered his lips—if Yifeng Yeyue stayed in the air for too long, then she might as well have stood still. Ji Ma suddenly threw a gun at the Single Snake-Tailed Demon Prince, engaging in a clash of curved blades, sending sparks flying while arrows from Yifeng Yeyue shot up from below.
The Single Snake-Tailed Demon Prince elegantly dodged the arrows and laughed, “You two think you can beat me if you attack together? Sisters, you need to try harder.”
What about those three?
The halberd and spear clashed, sending red sparks flying.
Ha! You brothers in arms fighting together can’t defeat me!
Hahaha…
At some point in the morning, among the eighteen warlords, the Blood God Champion had a three-pronged purple gold crown atop his head and was clad in heavy armor resembling a beast’s tongue, seated on a bright red warhorse, with bright red eyes, exhaling steam as he snorted. He held a halberd in both hands, facing a loud-voiced black-faced man with a tiger beard and a red-faced general wielding a guandao.
Even though he faced two, he had the upper hand.
The adopted father of this Blood God Champion sat in the middle army, his stature huge and rotten, towering two stories high, laughing heartily as he grabbed a grape and stuffed it into his mouth, feeling that this adoptive father was truly fearsome and that the eighteen warlords were nothing to worry about.
As the battle grew tense and the enemy became arrogant, a soldier’s morale plummeted, followed by a dragon’s roar—the emperor leading the charge held dual swords, and no one could stop him, watching helplessly as he mounted a fine steed and charged in.
The laughter of the Blood God Champion grew louder, advancing rather than retreating, facing three opponents alone.
At this moment, the Blood God sat on a bronze throne, surrounded by piles of skulls, gazing intently at three battles, each more captivating than the last. On the field, various Osuan focused on the center path where the high elf army and the blood warriors fought fiercely over the Great Mist Swirl, with dragons occasionally descending from the sky.
Despite the fighting being intense, the Blood God was more concerned about the two champion warriors he was fond of—one was the giant who charged in valiantly on a red warhorse, and the other was the Eternal Chosen who faced three without retreating, whose courage truly delighted the Blood God.
Although he had heard that the Eternal Chosen had turned his heart against him, seeking to slay the four saints—it had to be a plot of his to deliberately slander the Eternal Chosen, making the other dark brothers dislike him. Even if he sought to slay himself or challenge him, that was still his capability!
The Blood God looked on with increasing delight, as the Eternal Chosen indeed drew his gaze, and that promise was one he would certainly keep.
At this moment, as the Blood God Champion faced three, he unleashed a brave attack, drawing the Blood God’s attention away…
