Chapter 1
“Blood-red Dawn? Of course, it’s Mr. George, who is famous in our place, recorded in history—”
George interrupted, “Can we skip this part?”
Litis shut her mouth and looked at Ji Ma with red eyes.
Ji Ma waved her hand and said, “I get to decide here.”
The orange cat in her arms nodded, “Meow meow.”
“Really?”
George said, “Ji Ma, everyone has a part of their history they don’t want others to know.”
This guy is definitely hinting at my past.
Ji Ma said, “That’s not fair. You know mine, so I should know yours. Right?”
George sighed again, “True, but—”
“Litis! Go on, today’s entertainment depends on you.” Ji Ma patted her waist and muttered, “There’s not a single snack, really.”
Litis gained confidence and began to recite the legendary exploits of Mr. Blood-red Dawn:
“On that day he grabbed me, and we chased you together using a disc. We lost our way and arrived at my hometown world. It was unfortunate as we crossed over for the first time, and we both got dizzy. Blood-red Dawn George was captured and taken for auction—”
“What was he sold as?”
George attempted to signal Litis to back off with his eyes.
“George, the lady, was charming, with a graceful figure and proud demeanor, naturally sold as a bed slave.” Litis ignored his gesture and became more excited: “On that day, the auction was surrounded inside and out. Noble ladies even sold their lands just to buy him.”
“Tell me more.” Ji Ma couldn’t find a snack to go with her meal, so she pretended to eat, asking, “What was George wearing that day?”
George began to cough violently, “Cough cough cough.”
“George, isn’t one of the tenets of your Church about being open and just?” Ji Ma turned her head and said with righteous indignation, “What’s wrong? Don’t want to be open and just anymore?”
As a transcendent master, George helplessly nodded, “Continue, I don’t want to listen from the sidelines right now.”
“How can that be?” Ji Ma immediately hugged George, trying to turn him around, her breasts pressing against his armor, “Come on, you liked it last time, whispering such things in my ear while having fun with me!”
Litis asked, “Having fun with you?”
“Of course.” Ji Ma accused, “Even this succubus couldn’t stand it and just wanted to quickly find my sisters to share the burden.”
“If the women from my world knew, they would definitely go crazy with jealousy, especially the female knights from the knight order.”
“There’s a knight order?”
“Yes, George organized a knight order, and all the knights are—”
“Women?”
“Yes, George became famous, beautiful and powerful, calling on the world to abolish slavery. Many knights followed him, honestly, a large portion just wanted to pursue George.”
“Oh oh oh oh oh.” Ji Ma patted George’s pauldron emphatically, “I envy you so much, not only do women come to you willingly, but you also get to be a heavy hitter and a friend with benefits.”
“Even two duchies went to war over George.”
Ji Ma deliberately said loudly, “What a beautiful disaster.”
George tightened his helmet even more.
“Everyone wants George’s favor, even if it’s just a kiss. Countless knights claim to have had a night of joy with George, and numerous knights fight to defend his reputation, even fighting with those who bragged earlier.”
“Let’s talk about the auction incident. How did the Blood-red Dawn come about?”
“I will never forget that day.” Litis fell into memories, “George was the main attraction of the auction. The auction proclaimed him as an exotic knight princess, and when the host lifted the curtain off the cage, the entire auction was mesmerized by him.”
“Can you mention what George was wearing that day?”
“A silk nightgown and white stockings.”
“Ha ha ha.” Ji Ma laughed, resembling a steam train’s whistle, and slapped George hard on the back, “George, when will you wear that too? We could role-play, you as the defeated elven knight, and the three of us as unscrupulous orcs, taking turns to ravage you.”
George’s face was darker than a blackboard: “Absolutely not!”
“Aiya, Aiya, Litis, you all have pointed ears, right?”
“By this world’s classification, they can be considered elves.”
“What else did George have aside from clothes that day?”
“Someone forced him to drink a potion.”
“Tsk tsk tsk.” Ji Ma smacked her lips, “In the end, didn’t you overpower everyone in one night, using the holy sword to battle all the female bidders, resulting in a river of blood, countless virgins graduating… thus earning the name Blood-red Dawn?”
George closed his eyes in meditation, ignoring the noisy Ji Ma.
“No, that didn’t happen.”
“What a pity.”
“At that time, he opened the cage with his bare hands, killing his way out, taking all the distinguished guests as hostages and rescuing everyone.” Litis said, “He was merciful; as long as the soldiers swore not to stand against him, he let them go. However, they mocked his foolishness and turned their weapons on him, while a unit also guarded the auction.”
“Didn’t George have hostages?”
“For a gentleman, being held hostage by a man is quite embarrassing.” Litis said, “Therefore, they preferred to be executed by George rather than plead for mercy. Of course, George was also merciful and didn’t kill the hostages.”
“And then?”
“A whole army arrived! They came with siege weapons, surrounding the auction inside and out, launching an attack together. But George merely waved some sand, and those soldiers who broke their promises fell and died like flies.
“He stood at the gate, with no one able to breach his sword perimeter. At first, the commander wanted to capture him alive, but by the end, she was hoarse, shouting to kill George. It was a night of slaughter, and the soldiers simply could not defeat George. They bypassed him, taking innocent slaves as hostages to try to force George to submit, yet he remained unmoved. The battle continued until daylight. To reduce further unnecessary casualties, George made a difficult decision.”
Ji Ma’s eyes sparkled: “Did he agree to deal with the golden-haired, long-eared, long-legged commander and the aristocrats?”
“No.” Litis said, “He took advantage of their offensive lapse to organize his men, stacking the bodies of fallen enemy soldiers at the courtyard entrance to create a wall of corpses, layer upon layer. At night, when the soldiers attacked and saw the wall of corpses, they were all terrified. The commander roared, using her whip to urge them to climb the wall of corpses to attack.
“The soldiers retreated repeatedly. The commander mistook them for cowardice and planned to personally attack at dawn. But when dawn broke and the morning light fell on the wall of corpses, that valiant commander broke down on the spot, crying like a three-year-old boy, simply wishing to make George leave this city. Thus, he earned the title of Blood-red Dawn.”
“Is that so?” Ji Ma slapped George’s shoulder again, laughing in Chinese, “Hey! Blood-red Dawn.”
George closed his eyes in meditation, ignoring her.
“Blood-red Dawn! Blood-red Dawn! Blood-red Dawn!”
From beneath the steel helmet came three chilling words: “Wan Zi Qi.”
These three words extinguished Ji Ma’s rising excitement like a malicious curse.
“That’s it.” Ji Ma looked at Litis, “Details can come later, we can take our time to discuss. By the way, why did you suddenly come?”
Litis said, “I bear an important mission; I want to reclaim my disc.”
“Reclaim the disc?”
“Yes. A great existence has informed me that my world is on the brink of destruction.” Litis said, “To save my world, I must get back my original disc.”
George turned around, lifted his helmet, and said, “Sorry, the disc has shattered into pieces.”
“No worries, there are ways to repair it.” Litis said, “I urgently need it; can you give it to me?”
“Of course, it was originally yours.”
“No.” Ji Ma said, “According to the agreement, it should belong to me. I plan to use it to return to lovely Earth.”
George continued, “But that great existence, what exactly is it? Can you tell me?”
“I’m not very clear, but I know it is His great power that brought me here.” Litis said, “He also foretold that we can find a way to repair the disc nearby.”
“That’s wonderful.” Ji Ma said, “I generously plan to put the dispute aside for now; George isn’t lying, right?”
“He isn’t lying, just…”
“Then let’s hurry up and set off.”
