Chapter 26: Commercial Street
On the bustling commercial street, a short girl dressed in a JK uniform particularly attracted attention. Although her ordinary features combined with her owner’s expression that was frozen and cold made people want to step back a bit upon seeing her, the light gray uniform she wore caused those around her to glance her way more than once.
The light gray uniform jacket was paired with a white shirt adorned with a delicate tie, and her lower half featured a short skirt that didn’t quite reach her knees, exposing the girl’s beautifully shaped thighs. Below were over-the-knee socks and cute round-toed shoes. Even though the girl appeared cold, her student-like attire added a touch of youthfulness to her demeanor.
Su Jun walked expressionlessly on the commercial street, but internally, he was feeling incredibly frustrated. Indeed, his appearance was always enough to attract people’s attention, and he was somewhat satisfied with this.
However, this uniform represented the nation’s top hero academy, and wearing it out would definitely draw eyes. Even though he was from the regular class, there was still a bit of a difference between his uniform and that of the hero class.
But the passersby outside didn’t know that; he even overheard some people nearby starting to point and talk about him.
After finishing everything today, Su Jun hadn’t expected that the girl he inhabited, a 15-year-old high school girl, was currently in the most beautiful stage of her life, with feelings of love budding.
There were no clothes in the wardrobe that he could wear out!!!!!
Yes, when Su Jun opened the wardrobe to change clothes before heading out, he was struck dumb.
Aside from the casual clothes he was wearing at home, only two sets of uniforms issued by Shikoku Gakuin and several plain black hoodies remained in the wardrobe.
Putting aside the girl’s obsession with the color black, Su Jun despaired as he realized he had nothing to wear outside.
According to his memories, the few remaining black clothes in the wardrobe were what Su Jun donned during missions with Mr. Qi. Although some time had passed, and Mr. Qi had taken care of any trouble, Su Jun’s own caution might have overlooked something, while the previous owner of his body, that little brat, surely didn’t mind things like being monitored.
This meant that his few remaining pieces of clothing were already exposed; thus, no matter what, Su Jun wouldn’t go out wearing them under his current identity.
Moreover, considering the restrictions of time and finances, Su Jun helplessly put on another academy uniform and headed to the prearranged location.
Fortunately, the meeting spot Su Jun chose was a commercial street not far from his home. Since Shikoku Gakuin was nearby, students often came here to buy things after school, making the uniform not so rare among the locals.
After replying to a message on his mobile phone, Su Jun looked up and saw the tall figure familiar from the agreed dessert shop. He put his phone away and walked over briskly.
“Mr. Fukada!”
Waving his hand, Su Jun interrupted the tall, well-dressed man exuding an aura that seemed to say “stay away.”
With his tall and straight stature, a spirited slicked-back hairstyle, and a resolute face, combined with his upscale suit, he emanated a high-end white-collar vibe.
This man was indeed the one Su Jun had called out to; in the Dark Organization, he was Su Jun’s boss Mr. Qi, and also a friend of his parents who had taken care of him while growing up.
“Uh… Kiyomizu… Kazumi…”
“Just call me Kazumi.”
With a rare playful tone, Su Jun interrupted Mr. Fukada’s awkwardness. After the death of Kiyomizu Kazumi’s parents, he had been looking after her and had kept her from stepping into darkness. Mr. Fukada was undoubtedly one of the few relatively close people in Kazumi’s life.
“Alright, Kazumi…”
Mr. Fukada seemed a bit unaccustomed to the sudden change in address. In fact, after Kazumi learned the true cause of her parents’ death, she had started addressing him as Mr. Qi instead of Mr. Fukada, and there was no longer any unnecessary interaction, let alone more intimate addresses like now.
“Is it truly a romantic relationship?”
Fukada Akihiko turned his head, looking fondly at the girl he had watched grow up. Though her indifferent expression remained the same as before, having always kept an eye on Kiyomizu Kazumi, he could still sense the changes within her.
“So, Kazumi, is there something you wanted to talk about today? Is it about money? You could just talk to me directly, no need to call me out for that.”
Actually, Fukada Akihiko wasn’t a cold-hearted person. Like all fathers not knowing how to communicate with their daughters, he also didn’t know how to handle his relationship with Kazumi, so he responded to her coldly, not knowing how to get closer.
“There’s something I want to ask Mr. Fukada, and we haven’t had a meal together in a long time, have we?”
Su Jun looked up and forced out a stiff smile, interrupting Fukada Akihiko’s dangerous remark reminiscent of a white-collar worker supporting a high school girl, not noticing two nearby aunties perked up their ears.
“Okay, Kazumi, is there something you want to eat? We can discuss it while we eat.”
Fukada Akihiko nodded, glancing at the time, which seemed just right for a meal.
“There’s a barbecue place over there that looks pretty good; should we give it a try? I’ll take care of the drinks.”
“Yeah, let’s go there!”
……
On the other side of the commercial street, at a corner, a blond young man with his arms crossed and a displeased expression was grumbling to the old man behind him wearing sunglasses.
“Hey, old man, what happened to today’s afternoon training? Why does it turn into coming here to eat instead?”
“Eh~ My teacher once said that a proper balance of work and rest helps improve training results.”
The old man with sunglasses leaned on his cane, replying leisurely.
“Hmph, I bet you just want to eat for yourself! If that’s the case, you need to treat for this meal!”
Watching his somewhat unreliable teacher, Sato Shinichi said with some helplessness. However, he also understood that the teacher was concerned about his exhausting training recently and wanted to take him out for a good meal as a reward.
“But no food is as delicious as being by Kiyomizu-san’s side!!”
“Of course, there’s a reason you can’t pursue Dragonji auntie!”
Silently complaining in his heart, Sato Shinichi knew he could only keep these thoughts to himself, as he had certainly experienced what “Nine Heavens of Thunder Prison” truly meant the last time he poked at his master’s sore spot.
Humming a cheerful tune, he realized his master was right; this period of tension indeed required some good relaxation. Casually shifting his gaze, he wanted to see if there was anything Kiyomizu Kazumi might like.
However, when his eyes randomly glanced at a familiar figure next to the well-dressed uncle, Sato Shinichi stood frozen in place.
