Chapter 41 Misunderstanding
“Kiyomizu-san, Kiyomizu-san?”
Sato Shinichi still felt a bit out of it, just blankly letting Kazumi grab his arm as they walked to another side of the teaching building.
“You, how did you get on their bad side?”
Kazumi looked back, found no one chasing them, and breathed a sigh of relief. She turned to look at Sato Shinichi, who still looked dazed, and said with annoyance.
“These people?”
Sato Shinichi scratched his head in confusion, still completely unaware of what Kazumi meant.
“Sigh, forget it, just interact less with strangers in the future. I know you train a lot, but when there are too many people, you’ll still be at a disadvantage.”
Kazumi had given up on this clueless oaf. Perhaps it was because he put all his intelligence into studying, Sato Shinichi’s emotional intelligence seemed truly worrying.
She had come out of the classroom and saw the familiar blond young man surrounded by a group of guys who looked quite shady, pushing and shoving him as if questioning him about something.
Having experienced such things before, Kazumi knew what was happening. She then thought about Sato Shinichi’s simple-minded personality and how he might have offended someone without even realizing it.
At that moment, Kazumi’s first reaction was to find a teacher. The disputes of teenagers aged fifteen or sixteen were truly boring, as if having many underlings and being able to fight was very impressive. Little did they know that this was actually how people at the bottom of society proved their existence.
A hot-blooded young man could easily get out of control when fighting, and if they acted impulsively, it could ruin both their lives.
“Hmmm, but if this world has superpowers, medical conditions should be a bit better than before, perhaps tragedies will happen a little less.”
After pondering for a long time, Kazumi discovered a crucial issue: she didn’t know where the dean’s office was!
In the memory of Kiyomizu Kazumi, who was indifferent to her surroundings, information as unimportant as the dean’s office naturally wouldn’t appear. It could be said that she even had information about her homeroom teacher Ishiryu Daito’s office because this responsible teacher often called Kazumi over to chat and guide her.
However, at this time, the teachers should have gone to eat, and if she wanted to find someone, she would most likely not find them.
Thinking of this, she looked at Sato Shinichi, who was surrounded by a group of boys and was nervously fumbling, not knowing how to answer. Kazumi’s heart couldn’t help but leap.
Even she didn’t realize it as her body directly stepped out and walked towards the crowd.
Perhaps it was due to the lingering emotions in her body, or perhaps it was the resonance with Sato Shinichi’s current predicament, Kazumi only thought for a short moment before resolutely choosing to rescue him from there.
Only those who had experienced such darkness would know how desperately they wished for someone to pull them up at that time.
Of course, having made such a choice, Kazumi would not make any unprepared plans.
From her understanding of these so-called street punks, their pride was more important than their lives. This pride would make them too embarrassed to lay a hand on a girl.
As for if she really provoked them later, they would probably just find some girl thugs to teach her a lesson. Although her weak body would certainly not be a match for others in a real fight, if she was taken to a place where no one could see, the power of a coffin the size of a cabinet falling directly from above would be something no normal person could withstand.
However, if it really came to that, Kazumi would have to consider whether or not to kill to silence them, because she was definitely still under suspicion. If her abilities were exposed, ordinary teachers’ criticism and education would not be waiting for her.
“Perhaps I should use the energy from this guy’s family. His family should be quite well-off. Why is he like this?”
She shifted her gaze back to Sato Shinichi. His foolish appearance made Kazumi feel like he was beyond salvation.
It was only because he was so ignorant that a second-generation rich kid like him would be bullied by school punks. Not to mention the wealthy family implied by the details, his deceased paternal grandfather, who was a hero, also proved that Sato Shinichi’s family background was not simple.
But even with these conditions, he had turned himself into a pathetic loser.
If Kazumi had started with this situation, she would have probably already dominated the school and had countless harem members.
Her eyes darted around as she thought about how to get some benefits from her cheap boyfriend, considering it the first step in teaching him how to become an adult. Otherwise, when he recalled that he had such good resources when he was young but didn’t utilize them effectively, he would regret it for life.
“Uh… actually, we know them…”
Sato Shinichi awkwardly scratched his head. Although the girl hadn’t said much, Sato Shinichi seemed to see many different things in Kazumi’s eyes, feeling that his girlfriend’s thoughts seemed different from what he was saying.
“Yes, yes, just be careful in the future. Even if you know them, try to interact less. This time, maybe they didn’t make a move because I’m a girl and they were too embarrassed. Next time, it might be different.”
Kazumi nodded and gave a perfunctory reply to Sato Shinichi.
Tsk, is this what clueless kids call a man’s pride?
Even when surrounded by more than a dozen boys, he absolutely refused to admit that he was being bullied, especially in front of the girl he liked.
No matter what, she would need his support in the future, so she had to save some face for him, but she would definitely not fail to teach him the principles he needed to learn.
This was also a kind of persistence for Kazumi. Although she had already decided to use Sato Shinichi in her heart, to him, it seemed more like a transaction. She would obtain the resources she needed for life from him, and at the same time help him grow. This way, she wouldn’t have the guilt of deceiving others.
“But… they are our classmates, we attend classes together every day…”
Sato Shinichi continued to scratch his head in confusion, feeling that his girlfriend was a bit silly today?
Listening to Sato Shinichi’s answer, Kazumi didn’t pay much attention, mistaking it as his attempt to save face by continuing to explain.
She fended him off a few times, preparing to impart her life experience with much effort.
“Yes, yes, yes, but you still…” “Huh? Classmates?”
“Yeah, it’s Yoshida Sho, Hirayama Arata and the others. They were just gossiping about us. I’ve already told them, hehe.”
Sato Shinichi didn’t pay any attention to Kazumi’s suddenly flushed cheeks. He counted his friends’ names on his fingers and even chuckled embarrassedly because he had revealed their business.
“…”
“Kiyomizu-san, what were you going to tell me earlier?”
“I don’t want to say it anymore!!”
Seeing Kazumi, who suddenly became angry and walked towards the rooftop, Sato Shinichi tilted his head in confusion. He thought about it for a moment but still couldn’t grasp the reason. With a helpless smile, he still stepped forward and followed her.
(ps: Which brother reported my previous daily update and promotional group number comment? The most annoying part is that SF accepted it and deleted my comment!)
