Chapter 460 Cursed Item
On this desolate continent, time seemed to have lost its meaning. Ancient ruins and broken stone pillars silently told of past glories, while the current world was filled with the unknown and danger.
“We can’t stay here long,” Li Feng said, gripping the sword in his hand, his gaze scanning the surroundings vigilantly. His voice was low and firm, as if every word could pierce the air and reach the depths of the listener’s heart.
Wang Lin nodded, her long hair gently swaying in the breeze, a hint of nervousness in her eyes. Despite this, she remained calm. After all, they had been through too much and knew how to stay composed in a crisis.
On the road ahead, a huge rift lay across their path, like a curse left by Nature. The rocks on either side of the rift were rough, covered with the marks of time. Li Feng stopped, carefully observing the environment.
“This could be a trap, or some kind of mechanism,” Li Feng said in a low voice, his finger lightly touching a protruding rock. “We have to be careful.”
Wang Lin’s brow furrowed slightly, a hint of doubt flashing in her eyes. “Do you have any ideas?” she asked, her voice carrying a trace of anticipation.
Li Feng pondered for a moment, then nodded. “We can try using your capability to scout ahead and see if there’s any danger.” His gaze was firm, as if he had already found a way to solve the problem.
Wang Lin nodded, closed her eyes, and began to concentrate. Her fingers were slightly raised, and the surrounding air seemed to begin to fluctuate a bit. A moment later, she opened her eyes, a slight smile appearing on her face.
“There’s no danger,” she said softly, a hint of relief in her tone. “But there is something hidden here, and we need to handle it carefully.”
Li Feng breathed a sigh of relief, but his vigilance did not relax. He inspected his equipment again, ensuring everything was in top condition. Then, he turned to Wang Lin and said, “Let’s continue forward, but stay alert.”
The two walked shoulder to shoulder, slowly advancing along the sides of the rift. Their footsteps were light and steady, as if every action was carefully considered. The surrounding environment was still desolate, but their confidence was not shaken in the least.
As they ventured deeper into the rift valley, the scene ahead gradually became clearer. In the distant sky, a blood-red cloud slowly drifted, as if foretelling some ominous sign. Li Feng’s gaze was fixed on the distance, and a strange sense of unease rose in his heart.
“Did you feel anything?” Wang Lin’s voice held a trace of nervousness. She stopped, her gaze also fixed on the distance.
Li Feng nodded, his voice low and powerful. “Yes, there’s definitely a problem here. We need to be careful.”
The two continued forward, their footsteps quickening as if racing against time. The air around them seemed to become thinner, and their breathing grew rapid. However, they had no intention of stopping, because they knew that only by moving forward could they find the answer.
Suddenly, a gust of wind blew, kicking up dust from the ground. Li Feng stopped abruptly, his gaze sharp as a blade, vigilantly scanning the surroundings. Wang Lin also stopped, her fingers lightly resting on the hilt of her sword, ready to deal with any potential danger.
“There is indeed a problem here,” Li Feng said in a low voice, a warning in his tone. “We need to be careful.”
Wang Lin nodded, her gaze also becoming vigilant. She began to carefully observe the surrounding environment, searching for possible clues. Her fingers lightly touched a protruding rock, trying to find some useful information.
A moment later, she looked up, a smile appearing on her face. “I’ve found something,” she said softly, a trace of excitement in her voice. “This might be our breakthrough.”
Li Feng’s gaze was locked on Wang Lin’s face, a strange expectation rising in his heart. “What is it?” he asked, a hint of urgency in his voice.
Wang Lin smiled slightly, her finger pointing to the blood-red cloud in the distance. “There,” she said, her voice low and firm, “our target must be hidden.”
Li Feng nodded, his gaze fixed on the distance. He knew that this exploration would be a life-and-death battle, but he also understood that only by facing it bravely could they find their answer.
The two set off again, their steps slow but full of power. The wind howled around them, as if cheering for their courage. And their figures, under the blood-red clouds, gradually moved further away, disappearing into the endless desert.
