I said: “Then can I use spiritual energy now?”
Xuanwu said: “Of course, try it.”
I focused my thoughts and guided the spiritual energy out of my brow. Instantly, two balls of white light appeared in the palms of my hands. The light was weak, but I could feel the powerful energy contained within it.
Xuanwu said: “You are truly a genius! I didn’t expect you to be able to do this on your first attempt at using spiritual energy.”

Just then, I heard a faint crying sound. The crying came from a house. I ran in and found several people hiding in the house, men and women. They were all injured, covered in blood, and their clothes were torn.
I asked: “Who are you?”
A woman looked up at me and said: “We are residents of this town. Thank you for saving us!”
I said: “No need to thank me. Have you seen my parents? Their names are Wang Dashan and Zhang Cuifang.”
The woman said: “Yes, we saw them. They’ve gone to the town’s shelter.”
I asked: “Where is the shelter?”
