Yuchuan looked at Qin He with a complex expression. He could feel that Qin He’s eyes were filled with confidence in his own strength, with absolutely no intention of underestimating him. That man was Qin He’s bodyguard, named Qin Zheng. Qin Zheng possessed great strength, which Yuchuan had sensed the moment he first saw him.
“Master Yuchuan, you jest. I am merely a humble attendant. How would I dare to be presumptuous before Master Yuchuan?” Qin Zheng’s expression was impassive, his tone flat, revealing no hint of emotion.
Yuchuan looked deeply at Qin Zheng. He knew Qin Zheng was hiding his strength, but since Qin Zheng was unwilling to speak, he couldn’t press further, as Qin Zheng was Qin He’s subordinate.
“Qin Zheng, don’t listen to Master Yuchuan’s nonsense. Your strength is formidable. Even I would not dare to claim I could defeat you easily,” Qin He said with a smile.
Qin Zheng remained expressionless and silent.
Yuchuan shook his head. He knew Qin Zheng did not wish to reveal his strength and was therefore acting discreetly.
“Qin He, although you are protected by a defensive treasure, you still cannot withstand my attack. Do you have the confidence to take my second strike?” Yuchuan asked gravely.
Qin He pondered for a moment, then nodded. “Master Yuchuan, please proceed.”
He didn’t know why Yuchuan was asking him this question, but since Yuchuan had asked, he had to answer.
“Good!” Yuchuan nodded, a look of admiration flashing in his eyes.
Although Qin He’s strength was lacking, his courage surpassed that of many his peers.
“Qin He, remember this: in cultivation, the greatest taboo is arrogance. Though you are protected by a defensive treasure, you cannot let your guard down,” Yuchuan reminded him again.
“Qin He understands. Thank you for your reminder, Master Yuchuan,” Qin He replied respectfully.
He knew Yuchuan was looking out for him, which was why he had said so much, and he naturally appreciated it.
“Very good.” Yuchuan was pleased with Qin He’s response. He then looked at Qin Zheng and said sternly, “Qin Zheng, I hope you will protect Qin He by his side. If anything unexpected happens to Qin He, I will hold you accountable.”
Qin Zheng remained expressionless and merely nodded slightly.
Yuchuan said no more. He knew Qin Zheng was a man of few words, and a nod was already a significant response.
Yuchuan took a deep breath, and a powerful aura emanated from his entire being.
“Qin He, receive my strike!”
