Chapter Seven Hundred: The Model Governor and the Capitalist Lord’s Change of Heart
Little Black, due to its unique characteristics, could even evolve a heroic spirit prototype similar to the heroic spirit-level Little Black.
The essence of these two types of heroic spirits was either the heroic spirit remains containing immense power or a yearning for power, thus giving birth to the capability to upgrade and strengthen heroic spirits.
Upgrade and strengthen, just as Little Black, through the fusion of heroic spirit remains, integrated the “Spirit Base” of Little Black with the “Spirit Base” of the [Truth] and [Remains], and the “Spirit Base” of [Duty]. These two fusions were less about seizing others’ Spirit Bases and more about extracting the powerful energy contained within to achieve advancement.
To advance from the heroic spirit level to higher levels such as the Divine Machine level, or even the Saint Spirit level, required large amounts of energy that contained heroic spirit remains or some form of power left behind by the heroic spirits in their lifetime.
This was a very cruel method of advancement. Heroic spirits themselves needed to constantly accumulate and absorb the power contained within different heroic spirits, then break down those heroic spirits and absorb their power to upgrade themselves. This brutal elimination mechanism resulted in an extremely harsh survival environment for heroic spirits, with fierce competition between them.
For heroic spirits, sheer strength was the most basic guarantee. The stronger their own strength, the more they could ensure their own safety, and the more they could use their powerful strength to eliminate other heroic spirits and obtain the needed resources.
