18. How to make use of being in a girl’s body in a serious job?
When one has an incredibly beautiful appearance as a girl.
Coupled with the abilities and tact of a boy.
Lin Yibai would typically describe this situation in two words: invincible.
After the interview,
Lin Yibai checked into the hotel arranged by the organizers that same day.
In the late afternoon:
【@All Members, gather on the third floor of the hotel at 7 PM for training.】
If it weren’t for the official endorsement from Fucheng, Lin Yibai would have doubted the legitimacy of this part-time job.
First, there were certain requirements for height and appearance.
Then there was pre-job training at the hotel.
Lin Yibai could only say that if it weren’t for courage and being familiar with part-time work, most girls probably wouldn’t dare to come!
Fortunately, the benefits were not bad.
It was said that there had been conflicts among girls who worked part-time before, commonly referred to as “tear fights.”
So, everyone was assigned single rooms.
In the evening, in the training conference room.
Lin Yibai specifically chose a corner to sit.
He noticed that the girls around him were indeed of a much higher quality than average.
At least regarding height and figure, they were absolutely qualified.
And surprisingly, their appearances were all quite good.
At this point, the organizers were giving a PPT presentation on etiquette at the long table in front: “First and foremost, the absolutely necessary thing is to treat others politely. You will be assigned to various areas, where you will promote Fucheng’s cultural characteristics, or guide guests who come from afar to various exhibition zones, assisting businesses and individual entrepreneurs in completing commercial activities.”
This seemed much more complicated than Lin Yibai had imagined.
In his impoverished fantasy, he thought it would just involve standing at the entrance of the expo and welcoming guests.
He thought it was just being a greeter for the expo.
But the job seemed more like that of a guide.
He would be leading international friends from all over the world to various exhibition stands, giving products from different companies more opportunities to be recognized by outsiders, helping complete commercial activities, promoting economic development, and allowing more people to find employment.
“Wow!!” Lin Yibai shook his head vigorously, then looked at the speakers on stage, secretly exclaiming: “Such impressive trainers! No wonder they are from the official side; I was almost moved to tears.”
Almost.
He realized this wasn’t just a casual part-time job.
In ancient times, heroes were for the country and the people.
Now, is the greeter also for the country and the people?
This part-time job is surprisingly serious! I must make the most of being in a girl’s body.
They wrapped up around ten.
Lin Yibai even received a set of uniforms.
A blue long-sleeved shirt with a stand-up collar, and very formal black long-legged trousers for ladies.
“I thought it would be a cheongsam or something!” Lin Yibai never expected it to be this formal!
This is better; it saves him from feeling awkward later on.
Then there were a pair of high heels.
At first, he didn’t think much of it until he wore them the next day and realized the seriousness of the situation.
First, they were tiring; wearing them was extremely exhausting.
All the weight and pressure converge on the toes, just thinking about it was painful.
Then there was the instability of balance.
It always felt like he was going to twist an ankle with every two steps.
Seeing the worried expression on Lin Yibai’s face, a nearby girl kindly asked, “Hey, you’ve never worn high heels before, have you?”
“Hmm.” Lin Yibai nodded, expecting the girl to provide a solution.
“I used to feel just like you, suffering terribly in high heels, but after wearing them a bit more, I got used to it. You could try wearing wedge sandals to practice.”
“……”
Soon, another girl joined the conversation.
She also reminisced about the difficulties of wearing high heels.
Honestly, it felt like their thought processes were completely on different wavelengths!
According to Lin Yibai’s normal male thinking, one would raise difficulties, and the boys would collectively seek solutions; it is definitely not like girls gathering together to empathize over the hardships of wearing high heels.
Before long, a large bus arrived outside the hotel.
It quickly picked up the girls working as greeters and headed to the expo venue.
Lin Yibai was assigned to E Zone.
After giving a few instructions, the person in charge told her to take her position: “You’re responsible for assisting with registration at the front desk and guiding visitors. Simply put, you’ll provide information to anyone inquiring here, and if necessary, you can act as their guide, and help the businesses at our E Zone exhibition stands quickly respond to issues, okay?”
“Okay!” Lin Yibai nodded.
This job wasn’t too hard or too easy.
There were about forty exhibition stands in E Zone; with some effort, she would memorize them quickly. The challenge was occasionally encountering foreigners.
Lin Yibai did pass the fourth level of English.
But if required to speak it…
Sorry, her level was really just a few phrases. Fortunately, the expo was well-thought-out.
Each zone was equipped with interpreters.
And some foreigners would come prepared with their own translators.
Upon closer examination, they were probably students from a foreign language school!
A student from the foreign language school asked for translation, “Hello, can you guide me to the exhibition stands that feature more artistic products?”
“Artistic products?” If Lin Yibai hadn’t been wearing the lovely greeter’s outfit that represented Fucheng’s etiquette, she would have almost scratched her head in confusion.
Because the translator from the foreign language school might actually be correct.
Basically, whatever noun the foreigner said, they’d just translate it directly.
However, they were a bit too straightforward in their translation.
So, what exactly does “products with artistic value” refer to?
Lin Yibai thought hard and finally whispered, “Are you looking for…. trade-related crafts?” Is you looking for something like xx.jpg.
“Nice, yes, trade-related crafts.” The foreign language school translator seemed to have revealed something by being so straightforward.
But it was no big deal.
They both smiled at each other, and that settled it. There were indeed a few booths in E Zone with trade-related crafts.
Most of them came from Yiwu!
But the foreigners didn’t seem satisfied; the foreign language school translator reacted: “So, are there any crafts with more foreign characteristics?”
Lin Yibai seemed to understand something.
Especially when they reached the last exhibition area, which was filled with numerous ceramic products.
Dragon carvings and phoenix paintings, vibrant red and dark black.
Ridiculously, even porcelain statues of Guanyin were displayed.
Without a doubt, these showcased the depth of traditional cultural richness.
But again, Lin Yibai took out the guidebook and quietly muttered, “There’s nothing wrong, this exhibition area is meant for foreign trade!”
Spreading and promoting culture is definitely not wrong; in fact, it should be highly praised.
But since it’s for foreign trade, are you really going to push a porcelain Guanyin on foreigners?
Isn’t God going to kick the foreigners’ butts seriously?
ps: Wow w(゚Д゚)w, thanks to 【Ying Jiuliang】 for the monthly ticket! It’s my first time receiving a monthly ticket in life; I’m so excited and happy!
